Equestria: Land of Horse and Man
Chapter 3: (Pt.2)
Previous ChapterThe world wasn't the same anymore. It has been 10 years since it happened. So, to stand as a civilization again, they form a community of survivors known as The Resistance. The area, also known as 'Paradise Town', is surrounded by 30 feet high walls and inside it, 100 000+ civilians and 15 000 soldiers. Their leader, 58 year-old Derek Romanov and his assistant, 43 year-old Mr.Garry, are in charge of this place and its civilians, including McGee and his brother's family.
McGee and Carlos are the leaders of the 15 000 Resistance soldiers. Timmy is a guard on the front gate with his cousin, Jimmy. They get info from their fathers on who's going in and out of the facility. As for Juliet, she is a welder on the weapons category. She repairs and makes guns for the soldiers in the times of need. But this day, all is gonna change for mankind.
McGee and Carlos live in a hut near the main building in the middle of Paradise Town. It's 8:00 in the morning and McGee sleeps peacefully until his alarm clock awakes him from dreamland. He grunts as he woke up by the buzzing of the clock.
"Mmm, where is it?", McGee tried to find the alarm clock with his face in his pillow.
Juliet walks into the room to wake McGee up for a meeting with Derek. She presses the button and stop the buzzing. As she stands beside the bed, McGee is still looking for the alarm clock, even though it's already shut off.
"(CHUCKLES) McGee, wake up," McGee still reaches his arm out when Juliet calls him.
"MCGEE!!!" Juliet shouted as McGee got shocked by Juliet's loud scream.
"Aahh! Oh golly, what was that for, Juliet?" McGee asked.
McGee gets up from his bed, still feeling sleepy from sleeping late last night. McGee gets visions in his dreams about four legged creatures and fighting his brother with swords. He doesn't let these visions overcome him and command his men throughout the deserted and radiated wastelands. He goes downstairs to have breakfast with Timmy and the others in the kitchen, before going out with his brother to meet Derek.
"Mornin' son," McGee walks in, seeing his son and niece with Carlos.
"Morning dad," answered Timmy.
"Morning McGee. Be fast, we need to meet him in 50 minutes," said Carlos.
McGee took a piece of toast and a cup of coffee. He thinks about what those visions meant. They looked to real to be just dreams. The vision with the tall and long haired pony is the most concerning of all. Almost all of his visions have her in them and going to adventures to keep bad, evil things away. After having breakfast, everyone headed out of the house to do their everyday duties. McGee and Carlos locked the door after everyone gone out. They went into the main building with 50 guards and two VIPs. They walked into the lobby and took a lift to floor 5 where the office is. They walked out of the lift and entered a hallway. They walked to Derek's office with two guards at the door.
-Knocking on the door- "Come in," said Derek, sitting in his office while starring out of the window.
"You wanted to see us sir?" asked McGee as he enters the room with his brother.
Carlos closes the door and sits down beside his brother in a wooden chair.
"Yes, there appears to be transmissions sent somewhere from the south last night. Nobody lives there, as we are the only people living in a thousand miles. I need you guys to go and search for the source of the transmission," said Derek.
"Okay, when do we start?" asked Carlos.
"We'll start the search in 60 minutes. Around a hundred men are going to follow you on this mission,"--Handles a notepad to McGee-- "Here, give these to your son. I don't know why Garry doesn't send these anymore," Derek then coughs and took some pills.
"Sir, you okay?" asked McGee.
"Yea (COUGH), just need some medication,"
Then McGee and Carlos stood up from their chairs, gave a salute and leave the office.
"Oh boy, unknown transmissions? I'm in for weird things man," said Carlos.
"I just hope its people and not other things," replied McGee.
--DING-- "Somehow that makes me concern for some reason," said Carlos
"Who the hell will attack us? We're talking about beyond the mountains, no one could possibly go there with monsters and who-knows-what lurking there," said McGee.
Meanwhile at Gate B, Tim and Jim are waiting for notepads and notes from their fathers. It is silent and boring with no one entering and exiting the gate at this hour.
"Hey Tim, have you wondered why Garry has not been seen in a while lately?" said Jimmy breaking the silence.
"Well kinda. Why? Do you think he's dead or something?" replied Timmy.
"That's nonsense, I wouldn't think about that. And again, he could be though," said Jimmy.
"Hey look, there's dad," Tim spotted his father and his uncle in the distance.
"Hey boys. Sorry we're late. Here, here are the notepads," said McGee.
"It's okay dad. So, how did it go?" asked Timmy.
Jimmy then notices his dad holding a file of some sort.
"Hey dad, what's that in your hand?" Jim asked.
"Oh, Derek said that there's something beyond the mountains sending unknown signals and we must go search for the cause," said Carlos.
"Yea, that's the reason Derek wants to see us. Only a hundred men and gate guards are supposed to know this."
Tim and Jim know that this is a dangerous mission that they're going to attend and didn't ask any more questions after that.
Meanwhile, somewhere in the south, the ponies lived as an empire and lived in peace. The ponies are ruled by King Eclipsor, Queen Stella, Princess Celestia and her young sister Princess Luna. The empire consists of 300 000 civilians and 20 000 guards. As for the king and queen, they still fear humans as they'll do anything to survive in the depths of the apocalypse. But Princess Celestia and Luna thinks of them differently. They are just trying to live and survive, after all. Its kind of sad that some of them are out there, alone and dying need of help. Some of them even come here and died of wounds and scratch marks before they could help.
Last night, Celestia and Luna are getting ready for raising the sun and moon for the first time tomorrow. Their parents taught them how to use their magic to raise the celestial bodies. Not even them know how does this happen, using magic to raise two important space objects for life of others.
"You feeling nervous, sister?" asked Celestia.
"Yes, a bit. I hope we practiced enough," replied Luna.
"I'm pretty sure we did practice enough for this. Now, let's go to bed," said Celestia.
Then, an explosion came from Sorceror Time's room and sent out a weird power feeling through everypony in the area. Celestia and Luna heard the explosion and quickly ran to their door.
"C'mon, Sorceror Time is in trouble!" said General Sword Clasher.
"General, what was that?" asked Luna.
"It's Sorceror Time. He's in danger, --Soldier comes in--, Sir! The lab is on fire!".
The three ran as fast as they can up the stairs to Sorceror Time's lab and saw it on fire, as well as soldiers coughing from smoke. The king and queen soon came and tried their best to stop the raging fire and save Sorceror Time.
"Dad!" shouted Celestia.
"Girls, stand back!" Eclipsor gives way to Stella to use her magic.
Stella asorbed the fire with her magic into her horn. Celestia and Luna are shocked to see their mother using magic.
"All clear! Search for Mr.Time!" ordered General Sword Clasher.
"Sir! He's here!" shouted one of the soldiers.
"I'm here! Help, I'm stuck under the bookshelves!" shouted Time.
Three guards hurried to his direction and lifted the bookshelves. The whole lab is destroyed and a heavy smell of sulphur came from the fireplace. Luna noticed the smell as she smelled sulphur from the nozzle of guns from dead humans that came here.
"Oh golly, what is that awful smell?" said one of the guards.
"That my friend, is what they call sulphur," replied Sorceror Time.
"I was doing an experiment and, -Interrupted by Eclipsor-, Sorceror Time, this is dangerous stuff, where did you get this?" Eclipsor sees boxes of sulphur in the safe part of the room.
"I'm sorry Eclipsor. I, -Interrupted by Eclipsor-, I want all of this sulphur and dangerous material that you got from them out of here before dawn," said Eclipsor.
Everyone went silent after that. Eclipsor, General Sword Clasher and his soldiers and Stella left without saying a single word, leaving Celestia and Luna in a burnt room.
"Oh, what have I done, girls? I shouldn't have put that substance next to the fire," said Sorcerer Time.
"Ok so, let us help you. We'll get the powder out of here before our dad knows it," Celestia and Luna offered help but Sorceror Time rejects as the powder causes dry throat, eye burns and skin problems.
He sends the two girls back to their room and continue cleaning up the place afterwards. He carried the boxes of sulphur and throws it away outside of the village. On the way back, he took a rest at an abandoned radio tower close to the village. He stops for a moment and took a look a the radio station and sees a red switch in a small grey building. He pulled it and loud and weird sounds came up from generators. He got startled and ran away, leaving the tower on itself, sending radiowaves across the American lands.
