Life....
Hope....
And Despair.....
These are the fundamentals for life in this world.
There is good and evil.
But if you look closely and pay attention. You'll see more clearly.
Life is just a small battle between having hope to move on with your life and achieve your dreams. And giving into despair.. Giving up on one's dreams, fulfillment, desire, and hope.
Believe it or not. This is true for everyone. Some can hold on for a lot time then crack in a second. Others were either born like that, or became drowned in it.
We battle these problems every single second. And no one notices....
No one.... But me....
Hello. My name Is Cody Alan Aldrich. I'm 22. I'm a Human from earth. I'm an american, Caucasian, with light brown hair, blue eyes, 122 lbs, 5 ft 6 inch.
And I'm here to tell you on how I changed from a person with barely any hope. To becoming the protector of hope.
Please... sit down and take a seat. And enjoy this tale....
I sigh in my room as I start to back up my belongings. My life has had it's ups and downs. I made many good friends. I even found some true bliss in my life. Power Rangers, Super Sentai, Kamen Rider and even MLP of all things. It was amazing..... But it didn't last. And I just can't take it anymore.
I don't know what to do with my life. I tried singing, dancing, acting, writing, a teacher, a trainer, a helper, a content creator, a youtuber,... Hell!! Even a fucking doctor too!! I just don't know!!
And every time I try I just keep being put down and told that I need to do this instead! And one time I finally caved in and did it... And still emptiness! I just don't know anything anymore....
And I can't take it anymore.... So.... I finally decided to pack up everything and start traveling around the world. My parents did try their best to talk me out of it but I didn't care anymore.
I barely have an hope left. And if I don't do this then I'm not only going to be stuck in another routine again. But I'll forever have despair in my heart and I'll probably never recover from it! But before hand I spent the new few days telling everyone I know. Family, Friends, bosses, workmates, FB, youtube etc etc.
After I said my farewells I finally went out into the world. Maybe I'll find my calling there.... I mean after all. This is my one and only life, So I better make use for it now before I wind up old and unable to fulfill it.
I went out and walked along a nice pathway that's not near the road. Don't wanna get hit after all.... In my right hand was one of the roller-bag filled with all of my clothes, movies, games, and my games systems. In my left hand in a dufflebag filled with all of my toku items and some clothes to protect them.
Then finally on my back is my backpack with again some clothes, my laptop, my card collection, and on the left and right side of the backpack is my katana's I own. The left one I got when I turned 18 and the right one was given to me by my step-father after my stepbrother died.... I kinda wished I had more time to spend with them... But I knew I didn't even try.... I shook it off as I continued my journey.
I have no clue at what my purpose is. Am I just born to live a dull life and then die? No! I won't accept that. Everyone has some purpose in this life. and I know I'll be the one to find it. Even if it kills me.... And I kinda wished I hadn't said that...
In a mere hours after I left a storm just blasted through here. Rain, wind, and thunder echoed through and it was getting cold fast. I needed shelter fast.
I saw a small cave out the corner of my eye and tried my best to get there. But the wind picked up and blasted in front of me. It felt like nature was saying Get back to your family damn it!! You're not cut out for this!!
Well I guess we'll find out now!!
I pushed my body against the wind as I tried my best to get to the cave as fast as possible.
At least this won't get any worst...
And boy was I wrong... Somehow snow and hail started to pour down as well. This was just impossible!! It's April! and I live in Florida!! We don't get snow! There is no logical explanation for this!!
The storm then picked up even more as more rain, wind, snows, and hail started to surround me. I couldn't even see the lights from the distant town anymore.... My legs begin to numb... I started to shiver from the cold... And my vision is now becoming foggy....
"Am.... Am I.... going to die?" I said to myself as I collapsed on the ground freezing as I slowly started to close my eyes.
"I... I don't.... I don't wanna die..." I said as tears streaked down my face.
I couldn't hold on any longer... I just closed my eyes.... and then everything went fuzzy and dark.....
I'm sorry....
{(3rd person) [OC] Dust Wind}
The day passes on as I head to the park to meet up with my friends. We were all going to go picnicking today. Today is the one year anniversary of not only our band. Elemental Surge... But this is also the day our band leader and founder of the band... Maxus Blaze... died... He was the pony who helped us find our calling. To be a band and to strive for music. It was such an inspiration...
But... after the changelings attacked not only Canterlot but somehow Ponyville we lost him.... He died while trying to save so many ponies... that stupid Red stallion pegasus with the odd wings... He just had to be too prideful... Ugh.... But he was still a great friend. I hope he watches over us. We'll make our dream come true my friend. The dream to have hope and fulfill our desire. It's only been a few days but no one has been able to recover much....
After packing what I need I went out to where the others are at. And after awhile I reached the spot where the gang is all at. Next to the tree is Swift Runner. A Jet Black Stallion Pegasus...
He's also a bit of a *Herd-Gatherer* He mostly wears a silver t-shirt, and a black over-coat, plus dark blue pants. He is an amazing guy.... when he's not trying to seduce mares anyways... His cutie mark is a Guitar upside down and in front of a star. He is also sometimes our lead guitar.
Next was Calus "Caculator Beacon. A Pearl Green stallion unicorn. He is a bit of a book worm but somehow he loves sports. And sometimes can get very aggressive when he does. He wears a White t-shirt, a cashmere frock coat, oddly enough a pantone colored bowtie. I'm still wondering why? But he keeps saying. "It's Cause Bowties are cool". his cutie mark is a calculator and a erlenmever flask crossed into a X. He;s also not too bad of a bass and DJ player.
Then next to him was Newton Mass. A Rust brown Stallion Earth pony. This guy is an athlete.He loves to have adrenaline an chance he can get. Him, Applejack and Rainbow Dash are very good friends. He's the most into sports and such. He wears a Black t-shirt with his cutie mark on it. Which is an atom breaking in two. Also he is very good on the drums.
Across from them is four mares. They are very amazing friends too. On the far left is Navy Orchid. A Navy Blue Unicorn. She is the Dj of our group. She is an amazing Dj. Her dream is to become the best DJ ever. She even wants to beat Vinyl Scratch! In a good way....
She idolizes her so much she even made her dj booth to look like Vinyl's glasses. She's dressed in a Navy blue tank-top with a orchid color sweater covering her, a neon blue skirt and some sneakers. Her cutie mark is a Quaverrest note.
Next to her is Ivory Jade. A Beige Pegasus. She's the Bass for us. But she also plays several classical instruments. Her fav is the violin. She wears a Jade colored turtle neck, some blue pants and believe it or not army boots. Her dream is to play as one of the Royal Orchestra ponies. She also idolizes Octavia Melody and Lyra Heartstrings. Her cutie mark is a minim note.
On the bottom row is Cerulean Sky. A Cobalt earth pony. She's the drummer of the group. She is a really nice girl with a bit of a sadistic side.... It barely shows. But when she drums you can tell. she wears a cerulean sweat shirt, a blue skrit, and sandles. Her cutie mark is Cloud shaped into the drummer sticks.
Next to her is Teal Basic. A Lilac unicorn pony. She is the guitarist. She is unable to speak so she uses her magic to help her. but she can rift well. Her dream is to be part of the biggest band ever in Equestria. She wears a Teal blouse, a pink skirt and tennis shoes. Her cutie mark is guitar strings formed into a heart.
Finally there is Crater Pheonix. A Maroon Pegasus pony. She is the lead guitar of the group.... and also the ex-mare friend if Maxus... And was close to being wife.... She is of course a hardcore like tomboy. But she does have a soft side too. But ever since Maxus died she barely shows it anymore. she still does... Just not as much anymore.
She wears a maroon t-shirt with a gold vest that was Maxus's. On the back is his cutie mark. A golden star with two red delta's on it.... But anyways. She also wears cargo pants, and army boots as well. Her cutie mark is that of meteors shaped into a guitar pick.
And of course there is me. Dust Wind. The co-leader, manager, and sometimes rapper of this group. I have on my Grey t-shirt with a scarf hanging off of me, black pant and shoes. My cutie mark is of course A contract with a microphone on top of it. My dream is to help manage the best band in the world.... And I hope it comes true.
"Hey Dusty!! You going to sit there and day dream or are you going to help us with this food?" Asked Ivory.
I snapped out of m daydream, smiled and joined them.
"Yeah I will!" I replied.
I finally took a seat as I was handed my fav sandwhich by Cerulean.
"Rose/Daisy with mustard and mayo. You always do know what I like." I said to her. She smiled as she started eating too.
She giggled. "Well of course! I know you better than anypony else here!" She replied.
I smiled. I knew she had a crush on me for a very long time. But... I don't know if I do though....
"So when is our next gig Dust?" Asked Swift.
"Actually it's two weeks away. We're doing the whole Equestrian Founding day." I told them.
They all started coughing and trying not to choke on their food and drinks.
"You got us to play the Equestrain Founding for the whole day?! How?! DJ-Pon3 and Wild Hearts were also supposed to play." Asked Calcus.
"Well... believe it or not they said that they couldn't make it. So they asked us to play the whole thing instead. They also are giving us their support too. " I told them.
I could see all of their joy in their faces and eyes. This was going to be the biggest gig we ever had. I chuckled at their antics.
BOOM
A blast was heard near us. We all turned our heads to see what it was? Jet thought it was Rainbow but instead we see a shooting star headed for us.
We all moved out of the way as it crashed where we were and skidded across the area until it finally stopped.
We all then moved in to see what made it? Calcus thought for sure it was either Rainbow or some type of meteor.
But what was laying in the crater was.... something... I didn't know what it was. Nopony knew... It had clothes.... but it wasn't a pony.
It had no wings, horn, or even a tail! Whatever this thing is.... It's not from here. We all knew that much.
The creature was about 5 ft 6 inch, 122 lbs, light brown hair and again no tail. We were all discussing what we should do?
I mean we can't take it to a hospital cause I'm more afraid they would try and experiment on it. Same with Twilight.
And I think Fluttershy would have a heart attack..... Yes it could be an animal be still... we rather not take a chance.
We then decided if we should take it back to my place... or leave it?

After a few minutes we decided to take it back to my place and help fix it up. It was the right thing to do.
And I knew right now.... something is going to change.....
We finally reached my place as Calcus and I started to help fix him up. So far he mostly resembles some type of ape. So we went with what we know about them. He had a few things in his pockets.
We took them out and we were amazed at what it had but we set them aside along with his backpack so that we could continue.
And after a few minutes we finally patched him up. He had a slight concussion, some cuts and scraps, and a sprang ankle.
But besides all that he seems completely okay. The other walked up to me and Calcus.
"So... is it okay?" Asked Cerulean.
We nodded and they sighed for relief. Jet then walked over and picked up the creatures strange items.
The one Jet picked up as small, black and I think headphones attached to it.
"And.... what the buck are these things?" Asked Jet.
I shook my head. "No clue.... They were in it's pockets." I replied.
And like usual Calcus grabbed them and started looking at it carefully. Along with the other item.
"Well?" I asked him.
He looked at them very carefully. "I have no clue...." He replied.
We all then sighed as I took them back and placed it on the creatures backpack.
"Maybe it's some sort of doomsday device?!" Said Newton.
The girls and even Jet screamed a bit in fear and held onto each other.
"I doubt it... If it was I'm pretty sure it would've activated when we touched it." I replied to them.
I looked at the bandaged up creature still extremely curious about it.
"And I say until it wakes up we leave them alone.... Okay?" I said to them.
They all nodded.
They all left then to collect there thoughts. And as for me I decided to just head to bed and relax myself...... It's been a long day.......

Hello everypony!!! I truly do hope you enjoyed my new story. Also if you're all wondering what the anthros ponies look like. They look like the ones from the title card of this fic. Also Maxus Blaze is pretty much my OC Cody Blaze. I just decided to change the name for story purposes. I mean it would feel odd saying the Cody Blaze died then Cody Aldrich came in. Yeah it would be a nice thing to say that this is somehow him reincarnated. But I just find that odd. so I went with this instead.
Oh and if anyone is wondering about that whole opening thing. I started doing that ever since I made my fanfiction.net account. Every single sotry with my oc in it will have an opening so it will sorta feel like you're reading a tv show.
And as I said before in my last update I will be doing four to five fic here. Including continuing Surge Of the Elements. But I will probably start writing something new to it. I realized that having my oc become an element.... Isn't then best decision. So I'm going to be taking a lot more time in thinking what I should do. Also due to that my aspergers are somehow getting worst. It maybe awhile before the next chapter is up. I will try my best but it still may take awhile. So I ask you all please be patient. Until then. Later minna.
