That was the only thing that his ringing head and spinning mind could convey to him at the moment. Where had he come from? Where was he?
He looked down and instead of seeing the ground a normal six feet from his head, it was a mere three. Confusion led him to look at his hands. Wait, those weren't hands, they were hooves. Why did he have hooves instead of hands, and why did his arms feel like legs? He took a cautious step forward and fell down on his face.
I am not human.
He tried to get back up to no avail. He wished he could just be on his feet and moving away from where he was, towards any civilization that might be nearby.
"What is this we have here? A lost pony, looking rather queer."
Who was that? He scrambled to find his footing.
"No need to be alarmed. I will leave you unharmed. But why is it you cant find your hooves? It appears that how know not to how to move."
"I am Shadowdust," He said.
He felt a hoof touch his shoulder and scrambled again, to no avail.
"Do not fear, Shadowdust. In me you can put your trust. Do not move, I will return soon."
"Not like I was going anywhere," Shadowdust muttered under his breath. He felt the other figure walk away, and fell onto the ground. He was more comfortable like this, but he was still exposed. He didn't like this. He still didn't know where he was or why he was there. He knew that his new body wasn't what he was used to, and that meant he clearly wasn't from here. His head was aching. He reached a Hand, no, hoof, to his head. From his head protruded a Horn?
Am I a unicorn?
Nothing felt right. But the mystery creature returned. She looked like a Zebra. But that wasn't right, zebra's didn't talk.
"I have a potion for you, You must drink all, your body is new."
"What do you mean 'my body is new?'"
"Strange things have been happening in the Everfree, you are a surprise, even to me."
"Can you tell me where I am?"
The zebra set a bottle in front of him, containing a strange liquid.
"You are in Equestria, Shadowdust-" And then he blacked out.
