War... War never changes...

Rising tension between the Ponies and Zebras created an all-out war that ravaged the land of Equestria. It was then that six ministries were created by Princess Luna to govern the lands. In charge were the six chosen by fate, each of them in charge of a ministry were they chose to follow their own paths to victory. One ministry focused on the arcane sciences. Another, medical technology. And another one, weapons.

Each ministry was directly integrated with everyday Equestrian Life... all but one.

The Ministry of Awesome. Many wondered as to what the ministry was involved in. Many saw the ministry as a joke. Unbeknownst to the Equestrian public, The Ministry of Awesome was the fastest advancing ministry, testing out armor, weapons, and new technologies. In fact, anything about the Ministry of Awesome was labeled strictly CLASSIFIED. The Princesses themselves did not know about the Ministry of Awesome.

Arguably, the darkest secret kept by the Ministry of Awesome, was... the ShadowBolts.

Capitalizing on instilling fear into the Zebra morale, this group of elite pegasi dressed as spawns of evil created by Nightmare Moon's dark magic. Consisting of former WonderBolts, the ShadowBolts took part in operations not approved by the Equestrian government and secretly tipped the war in the pony favor.

Rainbow Dash, the leader of the ShadowBolts, led them to many victories. The war seemed all but won. Or so they thought...
