It was thirty minutes past midnight when Noteworthy left Canterlot to investigate.

Now, Noteworthy was sitting in the dark confines of the stagecoach, mulling over old memories he had prior to leaving Ponyville. He wished the report was false, selfishly hoping that the mare who died was not really who they said it was. He knew his prayers to Celestia and Luna would go unanswered, but he still prayed nonetheless.

It was ten minutes after leaving the city that Noteworthy closed his eyes to sleep the journey away.
