Chapter 1 A Midnight Rescue
Fluttershy was suddenly awoken by a scream. "What was that?" she asked nopony in particular. "AAAAAAAHHHH" There it was again! And it sounded like it was coming from the Everfree Forest! Fluttershy jumped out of her bed and listened for the scream, but instead of a scream this time, it was a loud roar that Fluttershy was startled by. Oh no! she thought. One of the animals in there could be hurt! I need to help it! Fluttershy opened the window by her bed and flew out.
Flying over the forest, Fluttershy spotted a clearing where a bunch of monsters were ganging up on a odd creature. One of the monsters swiped its claw along the poor animals arm, making it scream in pain. Fluttershy said to herself, "Let's do this LEEEEEEEROOOOOOOYYYY JEEEEEEENKIIIIIINS!!!!!!!!!" and dived into the clearing. The monsters were very surprised as their prey was flown right out in front of their noses (if they even had one!). Holding the injured thing tight in her front hooves, she flew as fast as she could away from that place, towards Twilight Sparkle's treehouse to get the poor creature fixed up again.
Once at Twilight's, Fluttershy knocked hard on the door, waking up Twilight. "Uuuuhhhhh, who could that be at this hour?" she asked. Groggily, Twilight fluttered down the stairs and opened the door. To her surprise, it was Fluttershy, holding carefully in her hooves a wounded creature that looked suspiciously like Discord. Fluttershy, out of breath, exclaimed to her alicorn friend, "Twilight, I really need your help! I found this animal in the forest, and i need your help to make it better. Please????" she pleaded. Twi rolled her eyes. "Of course I can help you! Now lets get this poor thing inside."
