Ponyville High
New Beginings
Load Full StoryNext Chapter“Move along, Mr. Keyboard!” said the angry voice of Principle Celestia.
The principle was furious with Click Keyboard, a freshmen student at Ponyville High School. Click, being pushed along to the detention room, doesn’t think he should be there. He didn’t do anything wrong.
Click sits down in the desk next to a senior, Time Turner, who was tossing his pencil in the air only to let it fall to the ground.
“You serve 2 hours today, Mr. Keyboard!” said Principle Celestia, “Same goes for you, Mr. Turner.! You can get up, walk around, and whisper QUIETLY amongst yourselves, but do nothing else!” She storms out of the room.
On the other side of the room is a big desk, and sitting at that desk is Mrs. Luna, who was usually nice, but at times was the strictest teacher you will ever meet, with her eyes on the two students.
“I never thought I’d see the day you got a detention!” whispered a surprised Time Turner.
“I know! Strange, isn’t it? And it wasn’t even something to get in trouble for!” Click replied.
“What are you in for?” Time. asked.
“Well,” Click began, “It all started on the first day of school-“
Whooves interrupted, “Look, Click! I don’t need the whole back story," I just want to know why-”
“I just walked through the doors.”
“Here we go!” sighed Time.
“I just started here, so I didn’t know anyone… accept YOU from karate class the summer before! When I walked in, I IMMEDIATELY wanted to walk back out! It was a MADHOUSE! There was toilet paper and paper airplanes flying everywhere, and it smelled as though the school took a mud bath in Starswirl the Bearded's beard!
‘I don’t want to be here!’ I said. ‘Is it too late to call a sick day?’
You said ‘If you want to go to the 3-D computer model creating college, you’ll have to-”
‘Go to school and get good grades!’ I finished.
“I decided to suck it up and move on with my day.
“My classes were study hall, art, science, math, band, reading, and social studies. Although, the only thing social about it is no one will shut up, but I digress. I think the most interesting class on that day was math! As you know, we had Mrs. Luna, and she was SO strict on that day, if anyone even WHISPERED, she sent them to the office! At lunch that day, you told me… Turner?”
Time Turner, knowing all of what Click just said, fell asleep during the story.
"TURNER! FOCUS!”
“What- I DIDN’T DO IT- oh. Proceed with your story!”
“Thank you! As I was saying, you told me the lunches were really bad, so I should bring my own from now on. During math the next day, Luna said we would take a pre-test to see what we know, and that it wouldn’t count for a grade! I was glad, because I would have failed that test!”
“Mm-hm, and WHAT does this have to do with how you got detention?” Time Turner asked impatiently.
“I’ll get to it! Don’t worry! Anyway, I ‘failed’ the test, and Luna saw I didn’t really understand the fractions, so she’s helping with that. A few days later, we took the real first test, and I got TWO wrong, and I FAILED! TWO FREAKING QUESTIONS!!!”
“I KNOW!” agreed Time Turner, “I got TWENTY-SEVEN wrong, and I FAILED!… What?”
“Uuuhhhhhhhhh"
"What? My specialty is time travel!"
"ANYWAY! I then retook the test and luckily passed! You talked to me about something two weeks later.
‘Hey Click! Homecoming dance is coming up!’
‘ALREADY?!’ I said in shock, ‘It’s only been four weeks!’
‘I KNOW! Talk about early! Anyway, I was wondering if you had anyone to go with!’
‘No’ I answered, ‘I’m more of a ‘lone wolf’.’
‘Well, if Lone Wolf wants someone to go with, I’m going with Derpy Hooves, and her friend Applebuck has no one to go with, and I heard she’s pretty good-looking!’
‘Dude, really?’ I said with a raised eyebrow, ‘I’m fine going by myself!
‘Okay! Fine! Be a Lone Wolf! SEE WHAT I CARE… BAH!’ said you sarcastically as you walked away to your locker.
