//-------------------------------------------------------// Ponyville High -by Click Keyboard- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// New Beginings //-------------------------------------------------------// New Beginings “Move along, Mr. Keyboard!” said the angry voice of Principle Celestia. The principle was furious with Click Keyboard, a freshmen student at Ponyville High School.  Click, being pushed along to the detention room, doesn’t think he should be there. He didn’t do anything wrong. Click sits down in the desk next to a senior, Time Turner, who was tossing his pencil in the air only to let it fall to the ground. “You serve 2 hours today, Mr. Keyboard!” said Principle Celestia, “Same goes for you, Mr. Turner.! You can get up, walk around, and whisper QUIETLY amongst yourselves, but do nothing else!” She storms out of the room. On the other side of the room is a big desk, and sitting at that desk is Mrs. Luna, who was usually nice, but at times was the strictest teacher you will ever meet, with her eyes on the two students. “I never thought I’d see the day you got a detention!” whispered a surprised Time Turner. “I know! Strange, isn’t it? And it wasn’t even something to get in trouble for!” Click replied. “What are you in for?” Time. asked. “Well,” Click began, “It all started on the first day of school-“ Whooves interrupted, “Look, Click!  I don’t need the whole back story," I just want to know why-” “I just walked through the doors.” “Here we go!” sighed Time. “I just started here, so I didn’t know anyone… accept YOU from karate class the summer before! When I walked in, I IMMEDIATELY wanted to walk back out! It was a MADHOUSE!  There was toilet paper and paper airplanes flying everywhere, and it smelled as though the school took a mud bath in Starswirl the Bearded's beard! ‘I don’t want to be here!’ I said. ‘Is it too late to call a sick day?’ You said ‘If you want to go to the 3-D computer model creating college, you’ll have to-” ‘Go to school and get good grades!’ I finished. “I decided to suck it up and move on with my day. “My classes were study hall, art, science, math, band, reading, and social studies. Although, the only thing social about it is no one will shut up, but I digress. I think the most interesting class on that day was math! As you know, we had Mrs. Luna, and she was SO strict on that day, if anyone even WHISPERED, she sent them to the office! At lunch that day, you told me… Turner?” Time Turner, knowing all of what Click just said, fell asleep during the story. "TURNER! FOCUS!” “What- I DIDN’T DO IT- oh. Proceed with your story!” “Thank you! As I was saying, you told me the lunches were really bad, so I should bring my own from now on. During math the next day, Luna said we would take a pre-test to see what we know, and that it wouldn’t count for a grade! I was glad, because I would have failed that test!” “Mm-hm, and WHAT does this have to do with how you got detention?” Time Turner asked impatiently. “I’ll get to it! Don’t worry! Anyway, I ‘failed’ the test, and Luna saw I didn’t really understand the fractions, so she’s helping with that. A few days later, we took the real first test, and I got TWO wrong, and I FAILED! TWO FREAKING QUESTIONS!!!” “I KNOW!” agreed Time Turner, “I got TWENTY-SEVEN wrong, and I FAILED!… What?” “Uuuhhhhhhhhh"         "What? My specialty is time travel!"         "ANYWAY! I then retook the test and luckily passed! You talked to me about something two weeks later. ‘Hey Click! Homecoming dance is coming up!’ ‘ALREADY?!’ I said in shock, ‘It’s only been four weeks!’ ‘I KNOW! Talk about early! Anyway, I was wondering if you had anyone to go with!’ ‘No’ I answered, ‘I’m more of a ‘lone wolf’.’ ‘Well, if Lone Wolf wants someone to go with, I’m going with Derpy Hooves, and her friend Applebuck has no one to go with, and I heard she’s pretty good-looking!’ ‘Dude, really?’ I said with a raised eyebrow, ‘I’m fine going by myself! ‘Okay! Fine! Be a Lone Wolf! SEE WHAT I CARE… BAH!’ said you sarcastically as you walked away to your locker. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Dance //-------------------------------------------------------// The Dance Later at lunch, we sat down at the table and start to eat. Then, I see her. With her flowing red hair and her adorable dress…........” *CLAP* *CLAP*! “Wake up lover-boy!” Time Turner snapped at Click. “Sorry,” apologized Click, “Got sidetracked. So, what was I talking about?” “Her flowing red hair and her adorable dress,” Time mocked in a girly voice. “Yeah, yeah, shut up! So I asked you who she was, and you said, she was Applebuck.. You said she gets good grades and is in Drama Club. I decided to go talk to her. Then I went up to her, said hi, and walked off like a complete IDIOT! ‘Smooth,’ you said. Later, I decided to actually talk to her. I went to her locker after school. I said hi and said I was the guy that said hi at lunch. I complimented her dress, and she said, ‘Thanks! My mom made it!’ I then said ‘See you later! Bye!’, and walked off.  You then suggested I asked her to Homecoming, and I said she’d probably say no, but you reassured me to be cool if she did. I went up to her, and said ‘Hey! So, Homecoming is coming up! Would you… like to… go?’ ‘Sorry. Bench Press already asked me. He’s the captain of the football team!’ Applebuck answered, ‘I would have said yes, though!’ ‘Hey, it’s cool! It’s cool!’ I faked. I walked over to you, ‘The captain of the football team! Of COURSE she’s going with the captain of the football team!’ ‘Yeah, that’s some crap,’ you agreed, ‘Come on. Let’s get to art.’ “It was then the night of the Homecoming dance. It played some of my favorite songs, and some country music… grrrr. Anyway, I saw you dancing with Derpy, and gave you a thumbs-up! You stuck your tongue out at me. Later, some hip-hop music played and a big circle formed. Everyone pulled out there best moves! I said, ‘I’m going in!’ handed you my water bottle, and did the robot and the worm! You were cracking up! After that, I decided to go sit down when I heard someone crying. It was Applebuck. I sat next to her and asked what was wrong, and she said that Bench Press stood her up. ‘That Flankhead!’ I thought to myself. A slow song started to play. I started sweating, but I asked her to dance. She took my hoof and we danced. *sigh*…” “Again: WAKE UP!” Time Turner interrupted. “Sorry. Homecoming was over, and we were about to go when… ‘HAY!’ I heard boom across the room, ‘WHAT THE HAY ARE YOU DOING?!’ It didn’t take me long to realize it was a red-faced Bench Press, storming my way. ‘You stood her up!’ I said angrily. ‘I had football practice!’ Keven lied. ‘If there was football practice, why was Coach Thunderlane here dancing his flank off?!’ ‘Well… I… okay fine! I stood her up!’, Bench Press confessed, ‘Why would you want to dance with HER, though?’ ‘HEY!’ I snapped, ‘You can’t talk about her that way!’ ‘I can say whatever I want!’ ‘Well maybe you shouldn’t say anything!’ Then, Bench swung his hoof at me and-” “BENCH PRESS PUNCHED YOU?!” Time Turner interrupted. “If you’ll let me FINISH,” Click said sarcastically, “Bench swung his arm, but knowing the karate skills I learned, I blocked the punch! He swung again, I blocked! He swung again, and again, and again, but no matter how many times he tried to hit me, I would block it! Then, Principle Luna showed up! ‘BREAK IT UP! BREAK IT UP! YOU, Mr. Press, will be suspended for attacking Mr. Keyboard!’ ‘What?! That’s not fair!’ ‘Sure it isn’t!’ Principle Celestia mocked! I was thinking Celestia was the coolest principle ever! ‘And YOU, Mr. Keyboard, will get detention for being in a fight!’ I thought too soon… So, Time Turner, THAT’S why I’m in here!” “For DEFENDING yourself?!” Time Turner asked in shock, “That’s a load of craaaaaaaaa,” Luna gave him a look, “aaaaaaaaackers on a dirty street that have been dried since World War II!” “Nice save,” Click said sarcastically, “Well, we might as well pay the 2 hours!” “We already have!,” exclaimed Time, “It’s 5:52! We were supposed to get out by 5:30!” “Are you suggesting we leave?” Click asked skeptically, “I mean, I don’t want to leave detention! It’s DETENTION!” “Well, I have a plan!” Time Turner beamed, “The room is next to a corner, so we tell Celestia a kid was running in the OTHER direction down the hall, and when Celestia goes ‘chasing’ him, we run for it! So, what do you say? Want to go for it?” “Ummmm… SURE! Why not?” Click agreed. Time Turner. slowly gets up out of his desk, and makes his way over to the door. He opens it and says, “Mrs. Luna! SOME KID IS RUNNING DOWN THE HALL!!!” In an instant, Celestia goes ZOOMING down the hall! The boys make a run for it! They don’t stop until they nearly ran into Applebuck and Derpy, walking from Drama Club. “Click! Hi!,” Applebuck greeted, “I’ve been meaning to talk to you!” “O-o-okay!” Clicked stuttered, “W-w-what do you want to talk about?” “Well, I though it was really brave, the way you stood up to Bench Press!” “Hey, no problem! He had NO RIGHT to talk to you that way!” “Anyway, I was hoping we could hang out sometime!” “O-o-oh! Okay! Sounds good!,” Click replied, blushing. “Great! See you later!” Applebuck walked off. Click pumped his hoof in the air as high as he could! He couldn’t believe it! Then he wondered something. “Hay, how did you get detention, Turner?” “I said Celestia can sometimes have a big head,” Time Turner exclaimed proudly. “Don’t let her hear that!” Click warned. “Too late!”
