"Fluttershy please..." I begged, wobbling backwards, unsure how to use my newfound pony legs. My heart was beating out of control as I stared into her dull, dead pale blues. All feeling left my stiff body as I hit the wall behind me. I fell to my-knees-hooves? Regardless, I was now helpless in front of her- what used to be her.
"Duck!" I could barely register the sound that was thrown at my face as a sharp pain shot through my shoulder, blood splattering against the wall behind me.
I dropped what little weight I had left. Pain filled inside me to the brim, darkness weighing heavily on my red vision. I could make out my friends voices as the darkness over took me. I fought for my consciousness, staring on at a very dead Fluttershy...

Music played in my ears as I shifted from one foot to another, swaying easily to the high pressure sound pulsating through out the colorful room. Green, blues, reds, and oranges shown throughout the dimly lit room, and black and white pulsed above the floor. It was great music, great food, great drinks, and good friends.
"Gavin, Luke! You want to go out side for a minute? I'm burning up!" I yelled over my shoulder.
No response.
"Gavin, Luke?" I called as the lights died in the room, and a cold chill swept over me. I froze, breathe hitching. My eyes rolled around in my head, trying to make out anything in the black room. I spun around, hugging myself, "Gavin...Luke...guys?" just as the words left my mouth, the black and white lights sprung back to life, flashing, making everything appear in slow motion. I flung my hands over my eyes. It was so bright, and it was so cold...I went to hug myself again, shivering, eyes squinting.
"Luke?" I asked, straining to make out a figure that was slowly making its way toward me. It was large, and had a cap on, so I thought it was him..."LUKE!" I called, waving, and tried to move forward, but my legs wouldn't move. My body shook, and my nerves stood on end, hair rasing. I froze, holding my breath. I was...scared? And as it got closer, I knew it wasn't my friend...I didn't even know what it was.
Blood dripped from the large things mouth, eyes blood red, no pupils, and its skin looked... patchy? I stepped back, only to miss the floor. I screamed, falling, falling, landing...landing hard.
oOo
"Abby, oh God, are you still alive?"
Fuzzy, pain, red...
"Damnit, Gavin! Why'd you have to throw that thing!"
Pain...
"Don't hit me! It was gonna kill her, what did you want me to do?"
Gavin...?
"Stop the blood, find something to stop the blood!" My ears rung, eyes burning as I forced them open, red vision over taking my thought. Why was it red, and why was I in so much pain? It hurt...it hurt bad, agonising pain, torment, hot, I was burning, on fire!
I screamed, squirming, shoving, biting, "Get off of me!" Tears streamed down my face as I bucked, odd limbs flaring. I felt dizzy all of a sudden, but I willed myself to struggle against whatever it was causing this pain, this horrible, unforgiving pain.
"Abby, please, hold still! We have to stop the bleeding!" Gavin's voice fell with no meaning on my deaf ears. I bucked, and wormed my way out of his tight grip, slithering on the floor like a snake, trying to get away from him-them. They're trying to kill me!
"Damnit, hold still!" Luke screamed, jumping on top of me, pinning me to the ground with his weight.
I lost my breath, a silent scream leaving my broken lungs. Tears fell freely as Gavin rushed over, pushing down on my shoulder.
That. That was the cause of my pain. I screamed inwardly, wiggling under my friend, praying for a God of any kind to strike him down.
"Abby, please, you're hurt. We have to stop-" My ears filled with bees, I couldn't make out anything as my breath finally left my tired and broken down body. I went limp, closing my eyes, willing death to over take me.
oOo
(Gavin's POV)
My heart stopped as she fell limp against the floor, eyes rolling into the back of her head. Oh no, I pushed hard against her shoulder, the blood seeping into the floor below, and into my fur-
My fur...I had no time to think about that. I forced all of my weight down on to her shoulder, whispering comforting nothings into her ear, head hung low, tears welling up in my eyes. I shook my head, no. I had to be strong, she couldn't die!
"Gavin, is it working?" Luke's voice was shaky, and his eyes held tears as he glanced down at me, picking himself off of her, and taking a spot next to me, sitting awkwardly on his new found legs, "Why do we look like this?" He asked, gesturing toward our new found pony bodies. I didn't know, and I had no time to debate about it. Right now she was the only thing that mattered. She couldn't die.
"I don't know." I shook my head, stealing a glance behind us, where Fluttershy's dead body laid, mattered in blood, and wings ripped apart. Not to mention the pitch fork I flung-just a little to hard-into the back of her skull. Damnit, what the fuck is going on?!
"Is she going to die?" He asked soberly, taking in a deep breath.
I didn't know what to say as I looked down at her broken body. I had taken care of Fluttershy, but in the proses I had flung her forward, pricing her shoulder. Her skin was peeled back where she had fallen completely to the ground, detaching her from Flutters. You could clearly see bone, and it was already turning purple and black. Puss leaked out with the blood, I had never seen anything like it.
I looked back at Fluttershy, "Why is this happening?"
oOo
"Why is this happening?" Spike asked a very busy Twilight Sparkle. She flew around her shelves, trying to find anything to stop whatever was going on. New ponies were showing up by the minute, they didn't seem to mind the bites, well they minded very much so. The pain they felt was clear to anypony with in a ten mile radios. But they didn't turn. She stopped flapping and fell to the ground.
"They don't turn..." she whispered to herself.
"Twilight?" Spike was scared, everypony was scared. Just yesterday everything was fine. It was apple cider day, and now, less than twenty-four hours later, all hell broke loose. Ponies were falling from the sky, or coming out of walls, ones that were not affected by these...monsters. These ponies that had been over taken by...evil, pure darkness. They walked loosely, skin falling apart, and blood coming from every orifice. Eyes a horrible red, pure red. No pupils to speak of.
BANG!
"Twilight!" Spike screamed, running up to her, jumping onto her side, nearly knocking her over.
BANG!
"Get behind me Spike." Twilight ordered, backing them up against a wall.
CRACK!
"They're breaking down the door, Twilight they're breaking down the door!" He cried, tears falling freely.
She stared at the door as it splinted, wood breaking under pressure as what ever they were tried to get in. Her horn began to light up as glass broke beside them, and hooves clawed at them, a terrifying screech of pain bursting the sound barrier.
"We have to find the others, Spike." And with that, she engulfed herself and Spike into her magic, transporting them just as the door gave, and dozen of once-ponies fell over them selves, stumbling in.
oOo
"Okay, the blood stopped, but it looks like the wound's getting bigger!" I whined, wrapping her shoulder up best I could with a blanket we had found, but my new found hooves and mouth didn't seem to work well together, but I still managed-barely.
I sighed, leaning back, whipping my forehead, "That should do it. I hope."
"Then why does it look so bad? I didn't think you hit her that hard?" Luke offered up some conversation, but the topic was less than appealing.
I shrugged, "I don't know. I don't even know how I knew it was Abby, and you Luke. I just did...but I don't just know that. Whatever's going on, we'll just have to worry about it later, when she wakes up-"
Just then, the lights in the small cottage flicked, and a blinding purple light over powered the room. Dust swirled up into the air, and I felt as if I was being pulled hard to the center of the room.
"What the hell?!" Luke and I yelped in unison, but just as soon as the bright purple light appeared, it was gone, and in the middle of the chaos, swirling dust, lights springing back to life, the pull all, but disappearing, a small purple pony sat in the middle of the floor-with a small dragon?
oOo
Twilight managed to jump transport them from her library, to the middle of town, into a meadow, and into FlutterShy's cottage. But she wasn't prepaired for what she saw. She wasn't ready for Spike to see this-
The room was disheveled, dirt licking the walls and floors, along with blood. Broken things were littered throughout the room, and three very beaten down ponies sat awkwardly to the side, just shy of-
"FlutterShy." Spike dropped to the floor as the words fell so meaninglessly from the purple ponies mouth. Tears welled up, and her heart shattered. Had she caused this? Had her spell brought these monsters here? She was just trying to stop whatever was happening, instead she offered up one of her best friends lives by bringing these new ponies to Equestria.
What little insanity she had left, fell apart with her swollen, bleeding heart. Her mind was ripped, and one of the threads was missing. Missing forever. It could never be sewed back together.
oOo
"Fluttershy." Twilight mouthed, as Spike dropped beside her, tears streaming down his face as he shook his head back and forth. My heart broke at the sight. I had never seen him cry before, and now I know I never wanted to.
Luke flinched beside me, I caught out of the corner of my eye him mouthing something-saying something out loud? I couldn't really tell. It was all white nose as purple filled the room again-or at least my line of eye sight. I felt myself falling? No, I wasn't falling, I was...being pulled? Pulled toward the center of the room again. I closed my eyes. This time, I wasn't scared, I didn't feel pain, or happiness, I felt nothingness as pressure pushed down against me, my breath leaving my body.
oOo
Tiwlight was going to stop them from hurting anypony else. Whatever the cost. She engulfed one of the blood covered monsters with her magic, and flung-shot him toward her. She had never used dark magic for...well, anything bad, really.
Everything has a start.
