Life continues on as normal in Equestria, with everypony going on about their business.

However, a storm brews on the horizon, and the ponies must prepare for darker times ahead as strangers from a distant land invade their home. During their adventure, the ponies will tackle obstacles and experiences that they have never before witnessed; and Rainbow Dash, specifically, must discover a new meaning, and purpose, for her life.
