Friendship is dead

Canterlot castle stood in ruins, it would be hard for anypony to believe that less then 8 hours ago it had stood in its former glory. Guards and civilians lay either lifeless or badly hurt everywhere. The whole city seemed dead and silent, so quiet that if you dropped a pin you would probably hear it hit the ground.

But that silence was brought to the end by the large whack of the sun princess herself Princess Celestia smashing against a wall in the throne room. She fell to the floor gasping for air, her body was cut, bruised and shaking madly. She steadily tried to raise her head from the ground but fell down in defeat from the pain of her wounds. A low chuckle was heard echoing through the room, "My my Tia, I would have expected you to have put up a better fight...then again over 1000 years have passed since our last fight, and with Twilight Sparkle to do all your little missions now I should have expected you to have let yourself go."

Celestia slowly wobbled her way to a standing position, the whole room was fuzzy in her sight but she clearly knew who was speaking. "Y...you won't win Discord, you've failed many times before this w...won't be any different."

Discord chuckled, he took Celestias head in his talon and pulled it up so she was looking at him. "Oh my darling, I already have."

Celestias vision started to go blurry, she could see Discords eyes turn into swirls. She took a few steps back trying to break from the trance but she was too weak. "N...no." She whispered in fear.

He grinned, "yes."

Celestia fought as hard as she could, she needed to, for her sister, for her citizens..for herself. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she felt so much pain, so much sorrow and a new feeling she had never known before...the fear of defeat.

Discords eyes returned to normal and he looked at Celestia, all her wounds had healed and her eyes stared off into the distance...with nothing but emptiness in them. He walked over and wrapped himself around her grinning, "How do you feel?"

After a few moments her empty eyes moved to meet his gaze, she smiled at him "I feel..I feel complete....my love."
