Today something amazing happened!
It really caught me by surprise, and it made me really happy! I had a celebration with my family and made them happy too! I wanted them to feel as much as I did!
Then I thought about it yesterday, and then I realised just how LUCKY I was! If I had went into my house from the field just a FEW moments earlier, it would never have happened! Nothing would have changed! So I thought, what if I HAD gone home early? I'd be so very grey and sad like the rocks! My family were born from and gave birth to rock, you see?
Then I thought, something so important must have been a MUST! There was no way there could be an other! I think I'll use my new talent to think about it some more, I thought.
See, rocks get their nasty reputation because they don't really change! We are children and sisters and parents of rock here, because it's all I really knew before this happened. Then change happened, and I changed. Could there be change if there was no choice, though?
For a change I decided I'd have FUN herding the rocks. I found a few that we decided not to move to the next field for the season. I arranged them into sides of a board I drew in the brown ground of soil and gave them their roles! Then I watched them play out their game, though I got kind of mad that they couldn't move without me deciding how. I was like I had to be a Princess or Queen or something of rocks! I prodded a smoothish rough rock a little, seeing if I could make him happy that I was paying more attention to him. He didn't notice, though.
Then for another change, I decided I WOULDN'T have fun. Maybe I shouldn't let my own Princess tell me what to do! I'd been having fun with the rocks when I never did it before? I had broken a Must, but did I just fall into another one? So I stopped, got mad at the rocks and began yelling at them to get a move on. Then I got madder that the rocks wouldn't listen to me, and I had to use my hooves to move them to their spaces. Then I figured I'd have fun again, but then not, well, for the whole night!
About a few seconds later the sun was rising. A few seconds ago it was midnight! I spent a few hours teaching my rocks how to play checkers with themselves in a few seconds. I thought it was something fun, I couldn't wait to plan out a party like this! No one understood me though! Sis just told me that I was being wacky. After a few weeks, I gave up. I figured I'd think about this when I was done celebrating my Cutie Mark.
Anyway, I decided to leave home about an hour later, when I had grown up from a filly into a young mare. Well, it wasn't really my decision, I figured my family would need me even though something told me I'd have a wonderful time if I left home! But then someone told me I should start travelling. I don't know who she is or how she told me, but she feels familiar! Maybe if I decided to just follow it I'd have some answers or something. I did spend my centuries growing up kind of confused over it!
