Starry's skyby CatailCataclysmChaptersWinter's biteWhat kind of a name is Ponyville? The Everfree portalWinter's biteStarry's hooves beat against the hard packed dirt as he ran along the path, he knew they were still chasing him there was no need for him to look over his shoulder. The path soon ran into the forest and he allowed his speed to slow, they had never actually followed him into the forest before, there was no reason they should start now. the young unicorn trotted up to a tree a few feet from where the treeline started and sat down for a small rest, leaning his head against the soft bark and before long falling asleep. "good morning, firestarter." Starry's eyes shot open, they were standing around him, four colts a few years older than him, with what he could only assume was malice in their multicolored eyes. "W-what so you want?" Starry asked as he backed up a bit an pressed himself up against the tree, his heart starting to beat faster than usual. "Hot Shot, pin him" The grey earthpony said, the red pegasus swiftly following orders, lifting starry's forehooves and pinning them against the tree above his head. "Oh... I think you know what we want." The leader said as he slammed his hoof into starry's exposed midsection, causing the colt to let out a yell of pain, and several of the other ponies to let out quiet giggles. Starry couldnt handle it again, he was always safe in the forest. His horn started to glow softly, causing the earth pony to land another blow to his ribs."Starry you know you cant fight us, you remember what happened last time."The earth pony said condescendingly. Starry's breathing had become ragged and his horn was glowing brightly, the two unicorns on either side of the earth pony were now clutching their heads. "S-stone, I think we should stop." One unicorn said while taking steps slowly backwards. "Starry I said stop!" Stone yelled at the unicorn before punching him again, however at the moment of contact Starry's eyes went wide, they were white with power and after only a few fractions of a second a bright light engulfed the area. Starry slowly came to, there was a slight rushing and crackling sound. after a few seconds he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was a bright orange flames littering the area, the grass was seared black and the smell of smoke was thick in the air. Starry picked himself up and shook off a bit before he heard a cough and looked in the direction, a few feet away stone was picking himself off the ground and looking at him angrily. "I...I'm going to kill you." The grey earth pony said as he took a step towards the unicorn. Starry wasted no time in bolting deeper into the forest, he could hear the other following him close behind, power was still crackling off his horn as he fled into the undergrowth, farther than he had ever dared to venture before, his scarf snagged on vines that seemed to be attempting to grab him, the thorns pulled at his coat and scratched him. suddenly Starry's front hoof caught a root and sent him tumbling headfirst down a hill, he rolled over rocks and branches as his body tumbled downwards, then he felt something, the excess power was drained from his horn and the entire world seemed to shift for a few moments. starry finally stopped rolling, he felt he was on flat ground now, but something was different, it was much darker than it had been a few moments ago. Starry stood up and immediately shivered, It was much colder than it had been too.. In fact starry had never actually been so cold before. Starry looked around, even the plants seemed different, they were more, menacing looking than usual. Starry couldn't hear anypony else's hoof steps anymore and he wondered which direction he should start going in, after a bit of searching he could feel that there was a faint trace of magic northward, so he started walking in that direction. Starry felt like he had been walking for hours, and his tattered scarf wasn't doing practically anything to shield him against the chill in the air, he didnt even know it could get this cold, he would like to have had a word with the weather ponies who dropped the temperature so much so quickly. Starry wished he could see the sky, so he could tell which direction he was going, he didn't particularly like wandering around aimlessly in the dark. After a while the colt finally got to a place where the trees were thin and looked up, but it didn't make any sense, the stars were all wrong, the lights weren't even up there, but the most strange thing was a large white orb that just seemed to be floating out in the middle of space. Starry stared for a bit longer trying to make sense of this strange celestial body, before the cold reminded him that he needed to find somewhere warm, and he was getting very tired. The strange white orb had moved from one end of the sky to the other by the time that Sarry started sobbing softly to himself, he felt like he had been walking for a long time, and there was nopony around, his legs were aching and his whole body felt numb and kind of tingly, he was only able to take a few more steps before he collapsed into a snow bank and gasped from how much colder it was than just the air, but he didn't have the strength to move anymore. The power was still out way in front of him, he reached out with his mind to touch it, before passing fully out, curled up in the snow. Twilight let out a happy sigh as she sat down in front of her fireplace, the storm outside was raging heavily and no sane pony would be outside tonight, and spike was asleep upstairs in his basket, so she finally had some peace and quiet to snuggle herself up with a good book. The alicorn had only been able to get a few chapters in when she sat up suddenly. She felt something strange, press at her mind, something near, but mostly it was something scared and in danger. Twilight put her book down and quickly got to her door and stepped into her rainboots, pulled on a scarf, put on her winter vest and jacket, then stepped out the door. "Hello?" Twilight called out and looked around, she didn't even know what had contacted her, but whatever it was was in serious need of help. "Is someone out here?" Twilight called into falling snow, not receiving an answer. Twilight closed her eyes and cast a spell to attempt to track where the signal came from, after a few seconds there was a flash from her horn and a tiny multicolored thread appeared, leading from her horn in the direction of the everfree. Twilight quickly began trotting in that direction, thinking some traveler must have gotten stranded by the storm and gone into the everfree for shelter. Twilight walked for a while, following the thread, every once and a while casting a spell to warm her up, until she finally got to the end of the thread. Whatever sent the signal had to be around here, Twilight began looking around for a while until her hoof hit something soft, she looked down to see the snow on the ground very slowly rising and falling. Using her kinesis Twilight pushed the snow away and gasped loudly as she saw a young unicorn colt curled up and covered in snow. she reached down with hoof and shook him lightly. "Hey wake up!" Twilight said slightly panicked, the colt didn't respond, after a second of thought Twilight picked up the little pony and began galloping back to her library. Twilight burst through the door of her library and sat the colt on the pillow by the fire where she had been resting earlier, using her magic she forced all the snow on him to evaporate before getting more blankets from upstairs and wrapping the colt up tight, and throwing more logs into the fire then staring down at the bundle of blankets wondering if there was anything else she should be doing."I need to get a book." she said to herself and began looking through the shelves. Author's Note first thing written in a while, please be gentle What kind of a name is Ponyville?Starry slowly became aware again as he regained consciousness, however instead of being cold, like he was expecting he was warm, very warm. The colt opened his eyes slowly and instead of seeing snow he saw a strange pattern covering his face, with a slight push of his kinesis the blankets covering him fell to the floor. Starry looked around, he appeared to be standing in the middle of a room, a library actually, there was an intense bright light streaming in through the windows, he guessed there must be something going on outside, a sudden voice brought him out of his thoughts. "Ah! awake I see! are you feeling well?" Starry looked up as a purple pegasus glided down from the second level of the library and landed rather clumsily in front of him. She placed a hoof on his head lightly and took it away gently, smiling softly as she seemed to be pleased by something. "oh where are my manners, my name is Twilight, yours?" She asked in a friendly manner, however Starry was stuck staring in confusion at her head, she had a horn, and wings, and her eyes were solid purple. Starry stood still and attempted to make sense of the situation he found himself in last night, and the events leading up to now. By now Twilight had been trying hard to maintain a smile while waiting for a response, but it was getting to the point where she felt she should say something again just to break the silence. "Er... so... what were you doing out in the everfree last night, you know its very dangerous." Twilight said looking down at the colt. Starry looked up and was able to ignore other factors for now, he could at least answer this pony, who saved him abroughght him int her home..err... library, even if she was some kind of strange mono iris colored, pegasus unicorn fusion.. "I was running" he answered plainly, and looked down at the floor, he decided he wouldn't go back, now twasnte forest wasn't even safe anymore, he couldn't go back. "oh? Running from what?" Twilight asked, however Sarry didn't have any intention of giving a truthful reply. Using a Hoof he reached to his neck to pull his scarf over his mouth, when he felt his bare coat, he looked down, his scarf was no longer hanging around his neck. Starry looked up at Twilight wide eyed "Have you seen my scarf? is it here?" he asked, Twilight saw his eyes for the first time and was slightly shocked, they weren't a solid color, they shimmered and changed as light hit them and sometimes were every color at once, she decided to inquire about that later though, as the absence of his scarf was making him visibly disturbed. "oh dont worry!" its over here, but... its a little torn up..." Twilight lifted the scarf easily and held it in front of the colt, his telekinetic aura enveloping the cloth, shining in the same way his eyes did. Starry stared at the cloth disappointed looking at each individual hole and where some threads were pulled out and frayed, there were sticks and thorns caught in the fabric, he tried pulling them out, but they just tore more threads. Starry felt an immense weight in his chest, and sadness welling inside of him. Twilight stared at the young unicorn as he inspected his damaged scarf, and started to get the feeling it meant more to him than a simple article of clothing, then she had an idea. "oh! I know, I have a friend who can fix it for you!" Twilight said with a smile and trotted to her door lightly. Starry looked up at the mare and forced his emotions down into the back of his mind where they couldn't affect him, then nodded and followed. "Oh I never got your name." "It's Starry Skies" Starry and Twilight walked outside of the library and into the cold, crisp winter afternoon air, Starry Squinted and looked up at the sky, what was wrong with it? He had never seen anything so bright, it was blue and the lights were missing, instead the big round thing from last night had gotten a hundred times brighter. "augh whats wrong with the sky?" Starry complained and put his hooves over his eyes."And why is it so cold?" Twilight looked at the sky, and the colt next to her covering his eyes. "what? I dont understand, whats wrong with the sky?" "it's so bright!" Starry said as he slowly took his hooves away and squinted, until his eyes adjusted, to the light, this was really strange, the world should not be this bright. "And what's that big thing in the sky?" Twilight was getting concerned, a pony who had never even seen the sun before, she was really wondering where he had lived before. "come on Starry we can talk about it when we get to the carousel boutique. Starry followed Twilight through the town to a strange building that sort of reminded him of a tent, but was more of a permanent structure, after knocking on the door several times and finding nobody home Twilight wrote a note of the scarf and pushed it through a slot on the door, assuring Starry she would come back and fix it up for him. "are you hungry?" Twilight asked Starry, and was answered with a polite nod. as they walked Starry started to think, clearly he wasnt near home, which was a good thing, and so far Twilight was the only strange hybrid pony he had seen although everypony had solid eyes... maybe they were wearing some kind of lense? like a fashion? it didn't matter, he needed to leave, it was only a matter of time before they forced him out, and he would rather get out before he caused anyone a problem, his thoughts were once again interrupted by a voice. "well howdy there, sugarcube!" Starry looked up, an orange earth pony was waiving at Twilight and trotting over, as she neared she looked at him then Twilight. "Hey there Twi, who is your friend?" she asked with a big smile and a strange accent. "This here is Starry and we were just heading to the sugarcube for some lunch, if you would like to join us" "Well that sounds might fine, i reckon I just might!" The three ponies started walking and were soon joined by two more, a yellow pegasus, giving a very small and polite greeting, then a blue one, giving a... not so polite greeting, Starry didnt like the blue one, she reminded him of the bullies back home. After some time walking the orange one who he assumed was named A.J looked down at him and started talking. "so where are ya from Starry? I don't think ah've seen you around before. "StarFalls" he answered plainly, he didn't feel much like talking while within earshot of that rainbow one. "StarFalls? Cant say ah've ever heard of it, what brings you to ponyville?" Starry's mind stopped just slightly, this place was seriously named ponyville? that like naming a bird city birdville... "I ran away" He answered again, however after he did he wished he had lied, he seemed to have struck a cord in the orange one. "ah c'mon sugarcube, ya cant just run away from your problems" Starry already was telling the truth and he felt like he shouldnt lie to this pony, but he didn't want to have this conversation either. "Everyone there hated me, its better that I left, for everyone." "Now ah know it can feel like that when you are a kid, but I promise the ponies there are worried sick about you back home, after we get something to eat me an Twilight can take you back and sort this whole thing out. It took AJ a second to realize Starry had stopped walking with them and turned around to face him, the rest of the group having been mostly talking amongst themselves were now silently looking at the young unicorn. "Im not going back, y-you cant make me" Starry said, his eyes were slightly dilated and he was now looking at them in the same way one might look at a bear getting ready to attack. "Now sugarcube, ya cant expect us to just let you run away from home and do nothing, you're too young to be living by yourself." "a-aj you should st-" the yellow one tried to say something but was cut off by the rainbow one. "yeah you cant just run away from home! cant you imagine how you are making you're family feel right now, they must be worried sick!" Rainbow Dash said, landing and slowly pacing toward Starry, his eyes were getting wider, and brighter, as of they were producing their own light now rather than just reflecting. "Im not going! Im not going!!"Starry yelled as light collected around his horn and soon spread away till his coat was covered in multicolored light, sparks falling off of him and onto the ground. AJ and Rainbow started stepping away from him as his hooves left the ground. Twilight placed a hoof on her head as she got a headache, she was getting weaker, like something was forcing her to cast a very strong spell, she looked around and noticed many unicorns in the park were reacting in much the same way. Twilight turned her attention back to Starry, now he was hovering, light and energy swirling around his body, some ropes of light even cutting swaths into the ground, his eyes a bright white. Starry Couldn't think anymore, this was a lot of power, he couldn't control even half this much. only one thought flowed through his mind "away" he wanted to get away, and so he did. There was a brief moment of silence accompanied by a flash of light, then he was gone, all that remained of where he stood was a large gaping crater in the middle of the park and a slight shimmer of light above it. "What in the hay was that?" Rainbow burst out and looked at Twilight, who was standing in stunned silence at what had just unfolded, No normal unicorn should have that much power, especially one who was that young. "did you see that, I mean he just exploded!" Rainbow was still freaking out when Twilight started speaking "he didn't explode, it was a long range teleport, and if I try hard enough I should be able to open a portal to where he just went. Twilight looked at the shimmer of light above the crater and closed her eyes, pushing power at her horn and letting it envelope the rip in space, then push it open . slowly a hole opened up, revealing shining pillars of beautiful architecture and glittering ponies walking about. "He teleported all the way to the crystal empire?!" Rainbow gasped and looked at Twilight. "It would appear so, now we don't have much time, we need to catch him before he gets away, Rainbow, you and Fluttershy go find him, AJ and I will go to StarFalls and find out why he ran away.. and how he can do what he does. everyone nodded, Rainbow and Fluttershy jumped through the portal, Twilight and AJ started trotting towards the everfree, where Twilight found him Author's Note terribly sorry for any continuity errors between these two chapters, if there are any. please point them out if I missed any The Everfree portalTwilight trotted up to the snowdrift where she had found Starry the night before. "So, how are we s'posed to find where he came from? his tracks would have been filled in by fresh snow." Twilight stared at the spot for a few moments. "Oh dont worry about that A.J. I have a tracking spell." Twilight Stated, then concentrated for a few seconds before a soft purple light surrounded her horn, then as she released the spell several colored hoof-prints were projected on the snow, a orange and purple pair leading from the two pony's hooves back to town, another purple set leading to the spot then back to town, and a multicolored set leading deeper into the everfree. "bingo." Twilight said and led herself and A.J. into the shade of the everfree. Starry blinked lightly as he regained control of his faculties, he forced his hooves under himself and lifted up to a standing position, with a quick look around he realized he was standing on a section of land from ponyville, only that chunk of land that he was on was no longer in ponyville. Large shining spires rose up all along the ground, he looked to be standing in some sort of park, far away he could see other ponies, but they seemed to be sparkling in the sunlight, the weather was also vastly different, there was no snow, in fact it was warm, a very pleasant breeze wafted across his coat. That was good, he must be far away from those other ponies who wanted to send him back, he wouldn't make the mistake of letting anyone know he had run away again. Starry hopped down off the chunk of Ponyville, and began walking towards what looked like the city center, he was hungry and reasoned he could probably find some food there. after only a few hoofsteps he heard something behind him, a hole in the air above the ponyville chunk had appeared and after a few moments passed a pony jumped out, followed by another. Starry couldn't believe it it was the yellow and rainbow one from earlier. Starry pivoted on his hooves and started running for the nearest cover. Twilight and A.J picked their way through the forest following the soft chromatic glow of Starry's hooves. "uh, Twilight, I don't mean to say your magic spell is wrong, but ah dont remember there being any town that a pony could get ta through the everfree like this, are ya sure we are going the right way?" Twilight looked down at the path, continuing through brush, they had already been walking for about half an hour and Twilight was trying to imagine how Starry had made it out here in the middle of the night covering this much distance. "I'm sure this is the right way, the margin of error for this spell is less than half of one percent, and even then its only off by a few feet, it's virtually impossible for this to be the wrong direction." Twilight said as she sliced through some dense brush. "well, okay, so tell me, what happened earlier, when he teleported to the crystal kingdom, how was he able to do that? as far as I know not even you can do something like that, no offence. "none taken, and to be honest, I'm not entirely sure either, though I have a theory, what I am more interested in are his eyes and magic, its more than one color, which is very strange, and it feels different than any other magic that I have even encountered, it's hard to explain." Twilight and A.J. stopped as suddenly the trail stopped in front of them. They were standing in a clearing of some kind, very old stones were set into the ground , and pillars around the area had crumbled and succumed to the natural weather in the everfree. "uh, Twilight i don't mean to be rude, but it looks like your spell might be wrong because it just stops here." Twilight looked around for anything that made sense, a little in front of the stone ground was a stone ring, it was smooth and showed no sign of aging at all, it was as smooth as the day it was carved, upon closer inspection Twilight found several strong enchantments to keep the stone protected from the elements and one which she didn't recognize. It was similar to a sustained teleport gate spell, but the destination coordinates were long, several hundred characters long, and there was a bit of information after the coordinate she didn't get. After a small amount of tinkering she found where it was looking for a power source, a few feet away in the center of the path was a circular stone, with a hoof she brushed away the leaves and dirt that had accumulated over the years, there was an inscription magically carved into the rock, it read:" The everfree portal, Entrance to The Safe World". Twilight stared at the stone for a bit trying to remember if she knew anything about that before, after a few seconds she directed magic down at the stone, which grabbed at it eagerly, running the magic through several tests before it was sent to the gate. There was a loud sound as suddenly the stone sphere lifted itself off the ground and placed itself upright before the two ponies. "Twilight what did you just do?" A.J. asked as she took an instinctive step backwards, suddenly a multicolored rim light up around the inside of the portal, then suddenly there was a different scene displayed in the ring than what was just behind it, it looked like a window to somewhere else, it appeared to be night on the other side, which made no sense at all, but most importantly there were glowing tracks on the other side of the portal. "well A.J. looks like we know where to go." Starry pushed himself hard, he knew the blue and rainbow mare was right behind him, whenever he looked back he could see her closer than she was last time, and she had a smile on her face, she seemed to enjoy chasing him. After several minutes of hard running Starry was out of breath completely from running and finally stopped to breath, his ear twitched as he heard the other pony's wings beating behind him. the colt turned on his hooves and looked at her, she had a very smug look on her face. "okay kid, we both know I am faster than you, and i have more stamina, i can outrun you no matter what you do, so why not just give up here and come back to ponyville with me, you did a really good job for your age, but you are no match against me. Starry backed up slightly and stared at her, he looked at the way her wings were beating, he memorized her posture, her feathers, the size and dimension of her wings, he started to build in his mind where bones would be placed, then after a second he had a prefect view of them in his mind, muscle placement, strength, elasticity, weight, density, then his mind started pushing out on its own, at the city center it grabbed onto something. an object that seemed to have immense energy in it, and he began pulling from it. Rainbow watched at the colt stared at her, and sighed softly. "okay, then we do it the hard way." she said simply and started flying over to the colt when his eyes suddenly went wide and a magical aura flowed around his body, lifting him from the ground. after a few moments his horn was bathed in multicolored light before fully disappearing odd his head, he landed on the ground and pressed his face against the grass, while raising his back legs. White beams of light erupted from his back and started to assume the shape of wings, which were disproportionate to his body size, after a second or so the light faded revealing them to be the same color as rainbow's wings , and size, they were a prefect copy, and after a little the color faded to the deeper blue of Starry's coat. "what the hay?" rainbow asked, looking at Starry who was not inspecting his new wings curiously before realizing rainbow was still staring at him, without another word Starry beat his wings hard and took off into the sky. "Oh no you dont!" rainbow shouted after recovering from her confusion, wings or no wings, she was going to catch this pony, now it was just going to be more of a challenge. A.J. and Twilight stepped through the portal and into the strange other place, It was quite a jarring change of scenery, all the plants had brightly colored glowing spots, lines tracing around them. through the canopy above them they could see lights dancing in the sky above them with stars and constellations Twilight had never seen before. "I dont think we are in the everfree anymore twi." AppleJack stated as she looked in wonder at the forest. "me either, in fact I might be willing to say I don't think we are even in equestria anymore, I don't know where we are." Twilight responded before turning her attention back to the tracks "come on A.J. we don't have much time, this spell can only track up to ten hours into the past.A.J nodded as they continued following Starry's trail. the two ponies continued following the trail when it abruptly ended in front of them, then started disappearing from behind them. "well I guess that means our time is up." Twilight said and looked around, not too far away she saw a spherical glow and started heading towards it. Upon reaching the sign she realized it was a road sign, there was a single arrow pointing away from A.J and Twilight, that read "StarFalls" The two ponies began walking in the direction the sign was pointing until they hit the end of the treeline, a little way off they could see strong looking, dark wood buildings, and ponies milling about with their daily lives. "okay, lets go see if we can find something out about Starry, maybe find his parents." As Twilight and AJ approached the town they noticed some strange things, first of all every pony had the multicolored eyes like Starry's, and secondly every pony seemed to be using some kind of magic, even the pegasi, their wings emitted a soft glow as they flew, and the earth ponies hooves glowed as they performed any kind of work, and the unicorns all had the the same magical aura that Starry had. "Twilight, what is up with these ponies? they are all using magic." A.J. asked as she looked at an earth pony pick up a rock several times her own size and casually move it to a different location. Twilight spotted a group of young colts playing among themselves and casually trotted up to them. "ahem, excuse me, but do any of you know a pony named StarrySkies?" Twilight asked calmly, before being greeted with laughter. "Know him? of course we know that lame excuse for a unicorn, you would be hard pressed to find anypony who didn't know that little fire-starter!" Twilight was slightly taken aback at the colts vernacular. "you called him a fire-starter, why?" Twilight inquired. "you must not be from around here, the little dweeb burned down a school, the whole town practically hates him now, but don't worry, me and my gang have been keeping him in line and, recently chased him off, so he wont be bothering the town anymore, pfft we didn't even hit him even that hard, such a wuss!" Twilight was really starting to understand why Starry left when she felt A.J. Brush past her, Twilight could already tell the look on her face without even having to see her. "What did y'all mean when you said you didn't hit him that hard, and you better choose your next words real carefully." The colts seemed to realize they weren't in company that would approve of their actions and went slightly wide eyed, suddenly a bright pink pony with a dark pink mane step out of the nearest building. "Did I hear you asking about Starry Skies?" Starry pumped his new wings hard, he didn't fully understand how he got them, but now he had a chance at losing this rainbow pony. looking over his shoulder he could however see that he was keeping a fairly good distance away from her , but he couldn't keep up this pace, he was nearing the strange crystal buildings, perhaps he could lose her if he were to weave through the buildings at a high speed. Rainbow looked at the pony flying in front of her, how the hell did he know how to fly, and more importantly, how did he get her wings? Rainbow pushed herself harder, she would have to go back for fluttershy later, because there was no way the pegasus could possibly keep up with them at these speeds, suddenly Starry veered a hard left then right into the alley between two buildings. "Whoa kid! these spaces are too tight for you to fly through!" rainbow pushed her wings close to her body and slipped through the alley way, she could barely keep her eyes on the pony ahead of her, he was flying rather recklessly at this point, zipping between buildings and having his wingtips grazing the buildings on either side. "Hey kid c'mon! you cant fly in between buildings like this!" Rainbow shouted, when suddenly she saw something ahead of them, two crystals were crossing in front of them and leaving a small gap, rainbow's eyes went wide as she saw Starry speeding up at this she sped up rapidly to Starry, trying to catch him before he hit the two spires, he couldn't possibly fit. Starry saw the hole that he was speeding up to and pumped his wings harder, he knew he was smaller than rainbow and would fit, Starry closed his eyes as he passed through the hole, only he didnt pass through the hole as smoothly as he thought he would, he had forgotten to take into account that his wings were now a part of his body and he had them spread full when he attempted to pass through the hole. hot pain spread down his spine and into his body as his wings were folded backwards with a sickening snap, he looked down as his body passed out of the other side of the spires and saw the ground rushing up to meet him rapidly. Rainbow cringed as she saw Starry's wings fold behind him , sh closed her wings and slipped through the hole, grazing her sides on the small opening and spreading her wings on the other side and flapping hard to accelerate fast enough to reach Starry before he hit the ground. Starry's body rolled slightly in the air to where he was falling with his back to the ground, he could see the rainbow one coming at him at a breakneck speed, she should stop or she will hit the ground with him, she reached him and wrapped her hooves around his body, all he could see was the light blue of her coat. Rainbow managed to grab Starry and flip to where her back was to the ground and spread her wings to slow their fall as much as she could, though they were at such a speed where impact was guaranteed. "Aw buck this is gonna hurt"
Winter's biteStarry's hooves beat against the hard packed dirt as he ran along the path, he knew they were still chasing him there was no need for him to look over his shoulder. Author's Note first thing written in a while, please be gentle
What kind of a name is Ponyville?Starry slowly became aware again as he regained consciousness, however instead of being cold, like he was expecting he was warm, very warm. "It would appear so, now we don't have much time, we need to catch him before he gets away, Rainbow, you and Fluttershy go find him, AJ and I will go to StarFalls and find out why he ran away.. and how he can do what he does. everyone nodded, Rainbow and Fluttershy jumped through the portal, Twilight and AJ started trotting towards the everfree, where Twilight found him Author's Note terribly sorry for any continuity errors between these two chapters, if there are any. please point them out if I missed any
The Everfree portalTwilight trotted up to the snowdrift where she had found Starry the night before.
