The Templars and the Assassins. They have waged war longer than any history book can keep track, and they still wage war to this day, despite with more secrecy.

That is, until the Templars decided to step up their game, with the capture of the great city of Stalliongrad. The Assassins defended the city with their lives, and that still wasn't enough. Within days, the city fell, and what few Assassins survived fled to the far corners of Equestria.

This story will follow one of those surviving Assassins. Introduced to the Brotherhood at a young age, he trained under the guidance of his family throughout most of his adolescence and early adulthood to be an Assassin. Now that his family has been torn away from him, he flees home in search of an answer to the Templar issue. Where they wage war once more in the name of pure rivalry, one Assassin will fight for a different cause. He will fight, in hopes that he can bring peace to the conflict that is now sweeping Equestria's southern hemisphere.

His name is Lighthoof. And this is his story.
