CHAPTER 1: The world beyond the shadows.

-----------------------------------------"To be honest, I regret everything."--------------------------------------------

I was falling, I was constantly falling, I couldn’t stop it with my swiftwolfs, it did not even do the usual failure sound when it fails, it just felt like I was constantly falling.

I hit the ground; I moaned due to the pain of it when I landed, it has been long since I received fall damage. Why didn’t my swiftwolfs negate the fall damage? Do I even have one right now? Oh wait I do, I felt it in one of my fingers, then why hasn’t it… never mind, probably the conflict between the portals and such.

Soon enough, I open my eye's to find light rushing in through the back of my eye's, trying to dominate all the dark spaces there was inside of it, it was bright and by that I mean too bright to be home. As my eyes quickly adapted to the light it was exposed to, I could see that I was in a dense forest but it does not look blocky.

“Where am I?” were my first words which echoed across this dense forest.

I was speechless; looking in a world filled with curves, I found that impossible but so real at the same time, I wonder if I can even break blocks right now.

My touch sense has also drastically improved as I can now feel the earth beneath me with greater texture; I almost enjoyed the feeling due to the Minecraft blocks being so plain, and me not sensing this at such levels since I was back on Earth. The air was a lot more complex and actually had a smell in this land, I wonder…

Oh well, lets not get too excited since this is like when I first arrived in the end (and thought that I was invincible with full dark matter like in the human game, how wrong was I) and thought that all I had to fight was the Enderdragon.

Thank god I still had my equi- oh bananas.

I looked over my artificial inventory which I am seeing with my eyes, to find the most annoying thing which could happen in the multi-verse itself...

FUDGE! okay calm down, there probably is a lapotrol crystal to charge my quantum in one of my bags, otherwise I will poop.” I said worryingly in my mind, while grinding my teeth lightly in anger and confusion.

I never had my armour de-charged by this much, was it probably the interaction with the liquid that it almost sucked my armour’s energy dry? Or that voice?

I shall never know.

Thankfully though for my alchemy bags which are bigger in the inside that the outside, I have one fully charged lapotrol crystal but the problem is that I have 4 pieces of discharged armour, I will have to share it equally.

I quickly take it out of my alchemy bag since I do not know what to expect in this dimension and place it on the… rough landscape. It made a poof sound and the single, one metre rough landscape in width and length soon enough flattens to the Minecraft style of blocks and not the demonic curves.

I quickly insert my armour onto the charging bench along with the lapotrol crystal which I found conveniently in my alchemy bag.

"That should do!"

I got cold skin for a bit due to this world being familiar... But to what? "It looks cartoony and such but what could this world possibly be similar to?" That thought bounces through my head several times before I shake my head and focus back on the goal.

While my armour is charging due to my charging bench, I looked around to take a better view. Strangely enough, my magical ring (swiftwolfs) enabled me to fly without using EMC (Energy-Matter currency) which I found strange, could that mean that I can control the Stars using my watch of flowing time without the massive EMC usage? Could I cause entire hurricanes to be created as my evertide amulet had a limit due to the EMC I could store? The possibilities are endless, but I don’t want to mess with the planets mother nature just yet.

“Alright then, this is going to be interesting-” I let a gasp of air fill my lungs which was quiet comfortable apparently, “-and dangerous, god I love adventures with op stuff but it kind of ruins the fun.”

Looking back at my alchemical bag, I find a full set of emergency dark matter armour for when my armour is de-charged.

"Convenient"

I equipped the full set of dark matter armour and set a waypoint at my charging bench, then I started looking around to see my terrain.

The reason I did not have the upgraded armour from dark matter, is that I always keep my over powered magic items in my safe chest back at home for when I die (and also the alchemical bag drops with all the items inside it too, darn now I wish I was back to standard Tekkit classic), which now I wish that dark matter was the Gem one and had some of my op rings (ring of arcana and the life stone) with me right now, I will never make the same mistake again.

The first thing that I notice is that I have no way of going back to my world, which could mean that I am stuck here forever… no armour, no way back, just great.

The next thing I see is hills of great height, much greater than my world’s one and a lot of quietness and peace surrounding me as well. I only hope that the word “peace” is true in this place.

“Similar… and familiar,” I said as I aimlessly wandered around my spaw- err, warp zone, “I don’t recognise there being this many mobs and plants though as I see birds, bunnies, trees, bushes, and strangely enough, no hostiles.”

A world with no hostiles is usually a sign that no one has managed to get to this world yet or there is a civilisation nearby, can't tell which though.

Though, that slight confusion soon went to a grin, an evil one too, as I was thinking about having a little fun in this place as there is no one around (If there even would be a human or a blockyman around).

“How about I see what these mobs drop eh? It shouldn't hurt… much,” I said while I was grinning in an evil way, but before I could even lay my first red radiant blade onto the mobs of this land, I heard a voice say in my head,

Move forward, one does not simply kill until you know what you are dealing with,” The voice warned in a shadowed way.

I felt an uncomfortable cold surge through by backbone, long has it been since I experienced one.

“WHO’S THERE?” I shouted in a threatening way.

No response…

I was confused,  where did it go? There is a lot of unanswered questions laying on the floor but I just couldn't figure it out! Probably someblock in this place can tell me.

I decided to follow the voice too because it was somehow right, my final decision was to keep on exploring this place and see if it has anything to offer apart from killing a dozen of mobs.

I kept on going; there really was not much to see until…

Some wolves made of… wood came from the forest, barking and looking like a hungry lion that hasn’t been fed in months! They seemed fairly dangerous and surrounded me as more came from the forest. They were bigger than any Minecraftian wolves and seemed like they would deal more damage, the weird part is that they had no skin but just an exo-skeleton of wood. I slowly grab my glowing red sword charged to the maximum, preparing for an assault.

“Soo… can you talk?” I ask them, doubting that I can even get an answer from them.

All I got from them was barks, one unexpectedly leaped from behind, and tried to tear through my chest, but failed as it’s magical wooden teeth just cracked and fell, I let out a faint smile.

“I guess we have to do this the hard way!”

I unleashed a blast from my red katar, making a loud boom sound as the once wooden wolves took cover. I managed to turn about seventy percent of them to wood dust from the blast but the rest, are twigs and logs of wood lying on the floor. They soon enough recover and manage to fit back to the perfect shape on how the wolves were just a moment ago but only the thirty percent of it.

“Ready for another match? I will surely make it ‘hot’ this time,” I say in a confident voice, the wooden wolves now kind of frightened at what I am going to do next, I think I heard one whimper too!

I pulled out my ring of ignition, and stared firing it at the remaining wolves, slowly burning them to ashes. The cries of the wolves reminded me of my past self and felt a little guilty of myself.

The battle is over, I was victorious and the wooden wolves (sadly) were not.

Well that was easier than I thought…” I thought to myself.

I moved along the ashy remains of the wolves, now blowing in the wind, trying to find a pathway of some sort even though I think that it will be impossible, due to there being only me in this world, or at least that shadowed block too.

Hey, what’s this?” I thought about what I was seeing in front of me.

Horse marks? Wait what? What is this supposed to be exactly? I just found a dirt path it seems like, and I found horse shoe marks on the path, could there have probably been a human riding a horse to somewhere? I hope I am not in the 15th century on Earth time because that would be depressing… Oh well, might as well start following the path (and if this even is Earth, how are there magical wood wolves roaming around this place?) and hope I get lucky that I find civ-

“Cluck!” I heard a chicken right in front of me cluck in surprise.

“Well hey there! Are you another animal who can’t speak? Or are you like those mean wooden wolves?” I ask the chicken, expecting it to cluck like all chickens do but instead, it stays there and stares at me with those… red eyes?

“What is it trying to do?” I quietly ask myself, I take off my helmet to take a better look at it and… Oh dear, I quickly put it back on seeing the situation it’s trying to put me in, basically turn me to stone but my dark matter helmet somehow dispels that witchery, so I don’t get turned to stone. Soon enough it revealed that it had a serpent like body, well like a snake but a bit bigger! At least it’s a chicken so it cannot like bite my head off.

“Well cluck to you too! See yah,” I wave at the chicken, while walking away from it unharmed, pretending it to be some type of intelligent animal, as it just sat there with a confused expression.

Now, I follow the dirt path quickly so that no other mythical creature tries to kill or stun me, this forest reminds me of the parks back on my Earth, they were beautiful and well decorated. The old times, oh well at least I have op stuff now (I wonder if I should conquer this world like I did to minecraft... tee hee, I am an evil banana).

Hey, I see light; let’s see what is outside this forest,

I saw the light as I was walking along the dirt path, it seems fairly bright but not too bright to blind me at least, besides I wonder what is on the other side.

As I exit this forest,  I find that it is literally dusk and the night is rising and the impossible happens too.

I gasp in utter shock as I find buildings which are not made by villagers and, look more of what a player would make.

“… What… the… notch?” I say in a confused and shocked tone.

At last, here I am, no longer alone as the world around me fills with opportunities and the horrors which I experienced back at my home on Earth. The first thing which comes upon my mind makes me want to badly take out my hyperknetic lens (magic weapon which can level entire continents) in one of my blocky palms but my gut says otherwise.

Move on! Look what is available! That was my gut feeling.

I wanted to reject it badly, since I would not want to risk my life if there are a ton of player’s armed with full red matter, but yet again, they could probably not be players due to the horse shoe in the dirt patch… but there is still a high possibility that this place has guards but what armed with? Ugh, soon enough curiosity wins the match and I move into the village.

“Ugh, guess I have no choice,” I say in a more saddened and frightened tone.

And here comes my stealthy movements, the night style…
