The Death of A Close Friend.
It was a nice day in Ponyville, and Twighlit had just akoken from her sleep. "*yawn* it sure is a nice day!" Spike was still asleep in his basket, curled up like a puppy. Twighlit looked at Spike and smiled. She then muttered to herself. "I'll let him sleep, after all, he is only a baby." The lavender pony yawned once more before walking down the stairs to cook breakfast. She wanted to make pancakes, a special treat just for Spike. When Twighlit was ready, she tried to look for the ingredients. She usually kept them in a cupboard above the sink, but there was nothing there. She looked all over the kitchen for the ingredients, but only found some milk. "Darn. I have to get some ingredients at the grocery store." She said. Twighlit then went upstsairs to see if Spike was still sleeping, and he was. Twighlit hated waking up Spike during his sleep, but it had to be done. "Ooohhhh Spikey Wikey, wake up." She said in a calm voice.
Spike then said, halfway through a dream," Im Sorry Mr . cheesecake, the sausage fairy made me do it... *snort* huh... oh hi Twighlit. " Twighlit giggled and told Spike that that they needed to go shopping. "UUUUUHHHG. Really? I wanna go back to sleep!" Spike said, clearly annoyed. "You have to come, if you dont, you wont have Pancakes!" Spike then shot up and ran down stairs to get ready. "Huh....mabye I should use that more often...." Twighlit said, walking down the stairs to see Spike getting ready to go get some groceries with her. "Alright, lets go."

Twighlit and Spike noticed that, in fact, there was barely anypony outside. They would see the occasional odd pony trot past. But other than that, there was no one outside. When they reached the store, Twighlit Bought what she needed for the breakfast today and on other days. "Uh, Twighlit, why is there no pony outside?" Asked Spike.
"I don't know why, Spike. It weird." As Twighlit walked home with Spike on her back, she saw someone in the distance.he/she was sprinting in the opposite direction of Twighlit. "Oh Look Spike, there's some pony! HI THERE!" The figure went faster, speeding towards Twighlit and Spike. Like he/she was charging at them. When the figure got close, it grabbed the saddlebag on Twighlit's back. "Hey! Give that back!" Twighlit shouted, grabbing the saddle bag and having a tug of war with the mysterious pony. Spike Clawed at the robber's leg, but he/she bucked him into a stand, causing his eyesight to blur. "SPIKE!" Twighlit pulled with all her might to get thr bag back from the thief. Spike saw the robber but his/ herhand on a black leathery blob by his/her side. As Spike stared at it he couldn't make out what it was. The masked figure then pulled something out of it. It was a knife. The knife was a chrome millitary standard combat knife. Spike then screamed "TWIGHLIT LOOK OUT! HE HAS A KNIFE!" Spike was running ober when Twighlit saw the weaponnin the pony's hoof. Spike watched in horror as the knife was plunged into the purple pony's stomach. Twighlit gasped in pain as the knife was twisted inside of her. The robber pulled the knife out along with alot of her blood. Spike screamed with tear s in his eyes as he saw Twighlit hit the ground with a thud. "Twighlit! Can you hear me?!!?" She didn't answer. She was bleeding out rather fast. Spike shouted out for help, and luckily for him, Rainbow Dash soared over the scene and heard Spike's crys. She knew instantly what had happened. "What happened here!?" Rainbow said as she looked at Twighlit's body
"NO TIME! HELP US'" Spike shouted with tears about to pour out of hix eyes. Rainbow Dash quicky responded with "Put her on my back! I'll fly her and you to the hospital! In no time at all, the unconscious pony was on the cyan pegasus' back. Rainbow then shot off like a bullet towards the hospital...
