Diamond Tiara wasn't sure how it started…. If she had to guess, it would be when she first met Silver Spoon in elementary school. when she was dropped off by her dad and she saw that beautiful silver filly for the first time, with her pretty light gray mane, and those adorable glasses, and her-
"uh...DT? what are you staring at?" the teenage mare asked her friend across the lunch table, breaking her from her day dream.
"h-huh? Oh, nothing Silver..." Diamond said, quickly looking down at her food to hide her blush.
"Uh...right...then are you gonna eat that?" Silver asks, pointing to Diamond's daisy sandwhich. And after a moment, Diamond shook her head and tossed the sandwhich to Silver, then stood, grabbing her tray and taking it to a cart full of trays to be cleaned, but as she was turning to head back to her table, she was bumped into and knocked down by Sweetie Belle, who was too busy talking to the other Crusaders to notice anyone was infront of her.
"Oh! Diamond! I'm so sorry!" The white mare apologized, reaching out a hoof to help her up, but Diamond just smacks it away, standing up on her own "Why don't you watch where the hell you're going next time?!" She snapped at the singer who had just recently gotten her cutie mark.
"Hey! Don't yell at her like that, she said she was sorry!" Said scootaloo, stepping up to defend Sweetie.
"I'll yell at her all I want, you dumb chicken!" Diamond growls back, but then she feels a hoof on her's and the voice of her friend behind her "Diamond, maybe we should go...you know what the principle said. One more fight and you're suspended!"
The pink mare lets out a sigh and breathes deeply to calm herself "You're right Silver...let's go." The two turn and start to head back to their table, leaving Scootaloo to whisper vulgar remarks about them to the others
Later, in math class, Silver Spoon is writing notes when a little paper airplane lands on her desk. She picks it up and opens it. It's a note, from Diamond.
"Hey Silver...I got something I wanna tell you...meet me at the park on Saturday?"
Silver, curious as to what it could be, writes a quick
"sure"
on the paper, folds it again and flies back to Diamond, where she unfolds it and smiles at Silver.
Saturday… it being a Thursday, that gives Diamond an extra day to plan.
Later that day, Diamond is laying on her bed, as her mother, Ruby Tiara, is brushing her mane. Something that always helped her relax.
"I don't know momma...I love Spoony a lot...but I just don't think she-"
"-loves me back..." Silver finished, at the dinner table, having tea with her mother, Golden Spoon.
Golden sipped her tea and looked at her daughter in the eyes, with kindness "Well honey, I think when you meet her on Saturday, you should tell her how you feel...and if she's really your friend, she'll at least respect you and continue being your friend."
Silver sighs, then drinks down the rest of her tea. "Ok momma...I think I'm gonna go to bed early tonight..." She places her cup down, stands and goes over to her mother, giving her a kiss on the cheek, before heading to her bedroom
The next day after school, Diamond Tiara is sitting in her room, talking to herself as she thinks about what to say on Saturday.
"Silver, I..." She shakes her head and sighs "This is isn't going to work...I need some help..." She stopped to think of anypony she knew who could help her… but only one name came to mind. Causing her to sigh again "Guess I don't have a choice.." She grabs her jacket and runs out to the Cutie Mark Crusader's clubhouse. Knowing they would be there. She knocked on the door, knowing this was going to be tough….
Applebloom opened the door "Hell-...." The red haired Earth pony went speechless, not sure what to say...
"Uh...h-hey Applebloom....I sorta need some help..." Diamond said, looking down of embarrassment.
Upon hearing her voice, Scootaloo runs up to the door "And why in the name of Luna, would we EVER help you?!" She growled, furious at the pink Earth pony for everything she's done to them.
"L-look girls, I'm sorry for what I've done to you...but I seriously need help right now..."
Applebloom narrowed her eyes, suspicious. "With what, exactly...?"
Diamond bit her lip, a blush appearing on her cheeks "I...I need help telling Silver Spoon...th-that I love her..."
Both Applebloom and Scootaloo looked surprised, then started laughing "YOU love Silver Spoon?!" Teased the orange Crusader, laughing.
Diamond looked down, feeling sad and humiliated "Forget it..." She turns to leave and just makes it down the steps when she hears a familiar soft voice.
"Girls! How could you laugh at her?!" A minute later, Sweetie Belle is running out towards Diamond "Diamond! Wait!"
Diamond sighs and turns "What? Come to laugh at me too?"
Sweetie shakes her head "No...I want to help you." She says with a sweet smile,
"Y-you do...?"
Sweetie nods "My big sister helped me with love troubles once...she said that you should just always relax, be yourself and just say how you feel."
Diamond looks away, the blush still on her face "But...what if Silver laughs at me? Or stops being my friend...?"
Sweetie holds Diamond's hoof and gives her a reassuring smile "I'm sure that won't happen...but if it does, I'll be here as a shoulder to cry on…"
"Thanks Sweetie..." Diamond smiles a bit, then turns and heads back to her house.
On Saturday, Diamond is waiting in the park for Silver, unaware that Scootaloo is hiding in a bush with a camera "Finally get to see that bitch get what she deserves..." The Pegasus whispers to herself as Silver Spoon walks up to Diamond "Hey DT!" she gives a small wave. "Uh...hey Silver..." Diamond smiles, trying to remain calm.
"So...what was it you needed to say..? I got something I need to tell you as well…" Diamond gulps, closing her eyes
"I...I love you silver spoon..."
Silver's eyes widen as a strong blush appeared on her cheeks "y-you do…?" Diamond nods and Scootaloo snickers to herself "here it comes…"
Silver takes a step closer "What a coincidence, cause…I wanted to tell you...that I love you too Diamond…"
Silver then leans in and kisses Diamond Tiara on the lips, causing her to go wide eyed and her face turns red with blush.
"OH COME ON!" Scootaloo shouts, jumping out of the bush, startling the two mares… but then Diamond smirks, seeing the camera.
"Scootaloo...I'm gonna need a copy of that tape."
