“Say something, please. Say something!” Discord said as he held Fluttershy’s hoof in pain. Tears rolling down his checks as Fluttershy took her last breath. As she did the other main six had been crying. This is no mere sad tale; this is the future that is coming to us all. So let’s start from the begging shall we?
It was a warm summer day like any other. Twilight, Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Spike, and Discord where all having a picnic. When Spike had burped out a letter and Twilight instantly used her magic to open it. She started to read it and gasped, “Take a look at this!” she said then turned the letter around. Rarity read it out loud,
“Dear Twilight, I need to inform you that there is a new empire. Not like any other though, this one has been over taken by a new villain by the name of… Waru? Sounds like an old pony’s tail” Rarity said.
“I remember the tail of Waru!” Pinkie pie said barging into the group and making a fake ghost noise. “They say it was just an old tail but no! The mythology of Waru is a gruesome one; clutches of children disappearing without a trace, adults found impaled on treetop branches, and organs missing from her victims. But her legend runs much deeper than previously believed. Germanic pony tales tell of a guardian who roamed the Black Forest, hunting children until they confessed their wrongdoings, but her reach extends far beyond his roots in Germany.
Waru has appeared all throughout history in England, Japan, and most recently, North America. How she chooses victims still remains a mystery, but this much we do know: Waru will stalk a victim, inducing massive paranoia, nightmares, and hallucinations - collectively dubbed the War Sickness.
Death of her victims often occurred through impalement on tree branches, removal or re-insertion of plastic-wrapped organs, or abduction of already War Sickness-stricken subjects. Her procedure has changed in recent times; however, now preferring to aggressively stalk his victims into irreversible psychosis for long periods of times until the subject is ripe for murder. Any attempts to capture Waru on recording devices have all failed -- he has even exhibited the ability to erase memory from our brains upon contact. We may all be victims - it's impossible to know - but one thing is certain: it's too late” She said as the sky went darker.
“Pinkie how are you doing that?” Rainbow Dash asked landing on the ground.
Pinkie Pie smiled as the sky went back to normal, “Doing what?” she asked.
Rainbow Dash just face hoofed and sighed.
Twilight was shocked. “Um Pinkie that was darker then you usually say, are you feeling okay?” she asked
Pinkie nodded, “I’m okie dokie lokie!” she said happily bouncing around.
Twilight had smiled nervously. “Okay… anyway let’s go see Princess Celestia about this. See what we can do” she said. The others nodded.
When the main six made it Twilight had so many questions. “What do you mean token over? Who’s Waru? What is going o-!” Celestia had put a hoof up she get Twilight to stop.
“Waru was a dear friend. When she didn’t’ get what she wanted she would run into the dark forest. But one night there was a huge fight between her and Luna and she disappeared. Apparently the dark forest gave her a terrible stream of horrific and terrible ideas. Waru’s name used to be Il desu yo. Which means ‘good’” she said. The group fell silent, dead silent.
“What do you need us to do Celestia?” Twilight asked.
“I need you to go and take back what’s not hers! I need the six of you to defeat Waru and bring her back to normal” Celestia answered. Twilight nodded,
“As you wish your hinnies” Twilight said. The group fell back out of the castle. Fluttershy was thinking hard of what could happen.
“What if we try what we did to Discord? Show her she’s not alone?” Fluttershy suggested.
Twilight shook her head. “I don’t think it will work this time Fluttershy, this is bigger than what I expected. Bigger than any task we’ve ever done” she said kindly.
“We need to think of a plan that is 100% full proof” Apple Jack had said putting a hoof down. “I don’t think any of us could ever see an entire empire go down” she added on after a couple seconds of silence.
Rainbow Dash nodded, “A.J is right we need a plan that will never ever fail” she said as she hovered above the group.
That night Fluttershy stared up at the night sky and at the stars. She took a deep breath in and out, and then she heard Discord calling her name. She turned around and smiled kindly at him as he lay down next to her.
“Do you have any ideas about the plan?” Discord asked.
Fluttershy shook her head. “Not really. I did suggest that we show Waru friendship and compassion like what I showed you” she said kindly smiling at Discord her eyes glittering in the pale moonlight.
Discord wrapped his tail around Fluttershy with a kind smile. “I did never thank you for that, so thanks” he said with a chuckle at the end of his sentence.
Fluttershy laughed quietly with him, “you’re welcome, I thought that’s all you needed, not a spell but compassion” she said. Discord nodded with her in agreement. Fluttershy had laid her head down on the soft dark green grass slowly. Closing her eyes the pale yellow Pegasus had fell into a deep sleep. With Discord by her side she felt safe and sound. She smiled as the night dreams filled her head with kindness and sweet dreams of a well night’s rest. Discord had laid hid head down of the grass too and fell into a deep sleep, though different ponies they had the same dream about the kindness of their lives.
