It was a late night at the Sparkle residence. Spike was asleep, the moon was bright, and Twilight finally had some free time to work on her stories. With her new princess duties and longer hours with Celestia, she has had almost no free time, but tonight was a different night. All of her work was finished, and Celestia didn’t need any more help. Tonight was all about Twily.
“Oh, I'm so excited,” she thought. “I've had so many great ideas but never a chance to get them out of my head! What should I work on first?”
With so many ideas, what story would Twilight start working on first? Will it be the adventure novel about Comma the Chameleon, or will it be heartbreaking story about Derpy losing her last and most precious muffin? No. She knew that the best way to REALLY blow off some steam was to work on one of her special stories. You know, one with older pony situations. Twilight shivered with excitement at the thought and could not wait any longer to get started, but first, she had to make sure Spike was still asleep. She crept up to the side of his bed.
“Spike, I've got a basket full of shiny, shiny diamonds,” she said right above him.
The tiny dragon lay unmoved, except for a slight twitch of the tail and scratch of the butt. Perfect. Twilight made her way down to her writing station, grabbed some parchment and sat down. Everything was set and ready to go, but something was off. You can't write anything without a quill, but... she didn't see a quill. Not on her desk, not under her desk, not in her room, not anywhere! How will Twilight write her smooch story now! Her night was headed towards total catastrophe when she heard a knock at the door.
“Who could that be at this time of night,” she said quietly to herself. She walked up to the door and assertively said “Who's there?” No answer. More timidly, she asked “Anypony out there?”
Twilight used her magic to grab a nearby bat and readied herself for a potential intruder. Bat armed and ready, she opened up the door, but nothing greeted her but cold air and the sound of rain. She took a look outside and only saw a tiny box sitting on her porch. She quickly grabbed it and hurried back inside, placing the item on her desk. She sat back down and opened up the mysterious box, expecting some ancient magical item, but instead only found a quill and a note. She picked up the quill and read the note.
“I thought you could use this. It's on me. Signed, AnonPony.”
Well perfect! She had a quill to write with now. Granted, it was a quill she found in a box in the middle of a rainstorm that just appeared there at about 11 P.M. at night, but it was still a quill. Twilight sat down, for the third time, and started to write. The words just poured out onto the paper. She had everything stored up in her head from all of the cold, lonely nights she spent out on princess duties. Everything was coming out so fast.
Branches were shaking violently in the wind as the storm raged on. Rarity made her way through the rain, mane dripping with the sweet nectar of the clouds. She couldn’t go back to the Carousel Boutique due to unfortunate circumstances, so she only had one place left to go. The beautiful white pony made her way up to the Ponyville library, took a deep breath, and knocked.
Twilight lost her magical focus and dropped her quill. The reason? A knock at the door. She slowly made her way to the door, picking up her trusty bat whom she had named Sir Whack-em-up.
“Who is it,” she asked towards the door.
“It's Rarity, Twilight. Please, it's very chilly out here.” Twilight dropped Sir Whack-em-up and pushed him to the side. She opened the door and before her eyes was a beautiful white pony with a dripping wet mane. “I'm sorry for coming so late, Twilight, but there’s been an unfortunate accident at my Boutique, and I will need to deal with it tomorrow. Could I perhaps stay here tonight?”
“Oh, it's no problem,” said Twilight, shaking in her fur, heart racing with excitement. “No problem at all, just, give me just one second. Here's a towel for your luscious mane – I mean mane. Just normal mane.” Twilight blushed and threw a towel at Rarity’s face, then raced back to her table. Amazing! Either this was a one in on trillion chance coincidence, or what she wrote actually came true! Only one way to find out.
Rarity, drying off herself, walked a bit closer to the purple pony sitting at her desk. She cleared her throat and said
“Twilight, I'm quite thirsty. Do you have anything to drink?”
“Twilight, I'm quite thirsty. Do you have anything to drink?”
“Oh. My. Celestia,” Twilight whispered to herself. “This is actually a real thing. Anything that I write comes true.” Twilights mind wandered as she thought about everything she could do with her new power, but the real question was, what to do first?
Twilight's ears shot up as she had her first idea. She took the pen and wrote something down, all the while giggling to herself. As soon as she dotted the period, Rarity walked next to Twilight and whispered something into her ear.
“How about I go upstairs and,” Rarity leaned in closer, almost touching Twilight's ear with her lips, “get things ready.” Twilight started to blush, making almost her entire face bright red. Rarity started upstairs, making sure to flick Twilight with her tail as she walked by. Twilight, still dumbfounded, sat there in disbelief. “Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh.”
“Alright Twilight, I'm ready,” Rarity called down from upstairs. As soon as Twilight heard her voice, she jumped from the floor and raced up the stairs, taking extra strides over some of the steps. The moment she got to the top of the stairs, she saw Rarity in her bed, under the covers, with her tail sticking out. Twilight's heart was pumping as she prepared to get into bed.
Twilight crawled into her bed and got underneath the covers when she heard a terrifying noise. A noise that definitely was not in her dreams.
“Twilight? Is that you? Why are you up so late running up the stairs? Were you...” Spike was interrupted when he noticed the extra pony in Twilight's bed. “Twilight, is someone in the bed with you!” Disgust filled Spike's face. “Jeez, Twilight, wait until i'm out doing something first.”
Spike threw up his claws in disgust and headed down stairs when Rarity peeked her head out from underneath the covers. “Aw Spike, we were just having some fun!” Spike stopped in his tracks and turned around again.
“Rarity! What are you doing!” Spike shouted at his crush.
“Spike, please don't be mad! Nothing happened yet, I swear,” pleaded Twilight from her bed. Spike was unmoving. “Spike, are you okay?” Still nothing. “Spike, how are you feeling!” Spike shook his head and looked up at Twilight.
“I'm not sure right now! I'm angry, but also a little bit turned on. I thought Rarity was only into stallions!” Spike was looking awfully confused. His face kept going from a look of disgust to one of interest. “How did this even happen anyway?”
“Well, Spike,” Twilight said reluctantly. “Even if I told you, you wouldn’t believe me.”
“Twilight,” sighed Spike walking closer to the bed. “We are friends with a pink pony who can literally tell the future because of her body twitching in a specific order.”
“Okay fine,” Twilight sighed, getting out of the bed. “A quill was delivered to our door a few minutes ago by someone named AnonPony. I tried writing with it, and when I did, everything I wrote became true.”
Spike looked up at Twilight. “So what you're saying is that you have a quill that, when used to write something, makes what you just wrote come true?”
“Yes. I know it's hard to believe, but I just-”
“Twilight,” Spike interrupted. “I believe you. Just, before you get back to, uh, that,” Spike said, pointing at Rarity, still in the bed. “Let me get out of here.”
“Oh Celestia, Spike.” Twilight gasped to her assistant. “Thank you so much!”
“Oh, no problem.” Spike said, smiling as he ran down the stairs.
Twilight watched her assistant run down the stairs, then when she thought he was gone, turned back to her fantasy turned reality. “Alright Rarity, I'm coming back!”
“Oh good. I was about to you,” Rarity giggled.
Twilight jumped into the bed and got under the covers. She stared deeply into Rarity's beautiful blue eyes and thought about how long she had wanted this to happen. Twilight got even closer to Rarity. Close enough to feel her warm breath wash over her body. Both leaned in even closer, hearts beating and lips ready for a warm embrace. Right when Twilight was about to kiss the Element of Generosity, Rarity quickly pulled away.
“What's wrong?” Twilight said, trying to get closer again.
“I just don't think I can do this,” Rarity said, getting out of the bed. “I- I just don't think I'm into you right now.”
“What do you mean?” Twilight said, confused and still a bit turned on.
“I,” Rarity stumbled. “I need a dragon!” Rarity ran out of the bedroom and rushed down stairs, right towards Twilight's writing station. A blank gaze fell over Twilight as she thought about what the heck just happened. It only took a few seconds before she found the answer.
“SPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE!” Twilight shouted, probably shattering a few of her neighbor’s windows. Her horn started to glow a dark purple and in a flash of light, she disappeared. Twilight reappeared at her writing station and saw Rarity standing next to Spike, petting the top of his head. Her mane was fashioned into a ponytail.
“Spike, what are you doing?” Twilight yelled at the very, very happy, purple dragon.
“I'm just taking what should be mine!” Spike shouted at the princess. “I've had a crush on her since the moment we met her!”
“That doesn’t matter, this is my fantasy!” Twilight grabbed the quill out of Spike's claws using her magic and scribbled something on the wall. Rarity stopped petting the top of Spike's head and looked down at him.
“I'm terribly sorry Spike, but you're just too young for me,” she said. “Twilight however, is just perfect!” Rarity jumped on top of Twilight and pinned her to the ground, causing Twilight to drop the quill. Spike, seizing this opportunity, rushed towards the quill, grabbed it, and scribbled something onto the ground right before Rarity fully embraced Twilight.
Rarity pulled her head back and looked into the purple pony's eyes. “I'm sorry dear, but it seems that I'm just not into other mares.” Rarity got off of Twilight and looked over at Spike. “Oh Spikey-Wikey, why don't you come over here and we can have some fun.” Spike tossed the quill behind him and ran towards the white mare with glee.
And so the cycle continued for awhile. Rarity would motion for Spike to come over and have a good time, then Twilight would take over and Rarity would be all over her. Needless to say, the sexual frustration was very high in the room. Eventually, Twilight had enough.
“ENOUGH!” Shouted the frustrated mare. “This quill, however awesome it may be, is causing way too much trouble. This ends now!” Twilight walked over to the quill, brought up her hoof and stomped on it as hard as she could, snapping it in half. As soon as the quill broke, Rarity stopped dead in her tracks and blinked a few times.
“Um, Twilight? What am I doing in your house? And why is my hair in a ponytail? It's so not in fashion right now.” Rarity styled her mane back to normal.
Twilight looked over to Spike and then back to Rarity. “Um, it's a long story. We can tell you later if you really want to know.”
“Well, alright then,” said Rarity, still looking quite confused. “I guess I shall see you later then!” Rarity trotted out of the door and started walking back to her house. As she turned around the corner, she noticed a giggling Discord looking in Twilight's window.
“Discord, what are you doing here?” Rarity asked the mischievous looking draconequus.
“Oh nothing,” he said, still giggling to himself. Rarity just shrugged to herself and went on her way. Discord watched the pony leave, and when she was out of sight, he plucked a feather from his wing. “That went much better than expected. Now, which pony should I go to next?” Discord snapped his fingers and turned his feather into a quill that Twilight would recognize all too well, and flew off into the night.
