A small yellow fured filly wearing a pink bow trotted into the kitchen of the Apple home on Sweet Apple Acres. The filly sat down in one of the chairs. Soon, a red stallion came in, seeing the filly.
“Big Mac?” the filly asked.
“What’s wrong Apple Bloom?” Big Mac asked.
“All my classmates at school have brought their parents to every special occasion there. ‘Ah thought that if ‘Ah asked ya ‘bout our parents, you’d know.”
Big Mac looked to the side, trying to hold back his tears.
“Why don’t you talk to Granny. She might know more that ‘Ah could tell ya.” Big Mac said forcing the words out.
“Okay?” Apple Bloom answered with a questioning look on her face.
She slowly trotted out into the barn, seeing an elderly green mare and an orange mare.
“Hey Apple Bloom!” Applejack said.
“Can ‘Ah talk to Granny alone?” Apple Bloom asked.
“Sugarcube, you can talk to me ‘bout anythin’.”
“It’s ‘bout ma and pa.”
Applejack started to tear up, the agony of the thought of her parents hurt.
“I’ll go buck some apples. Granny knows more about it than I can offer.” Applejack lied walking through the barn doors.
“Don’t worry ‘bout them Apple Bloom. They know a lot; but they really don’t want you to see them cry.” Granny Smith said.
“Why?” Apple Bloom asked.
“’Ah don’t know, they wouldn’t tell me. What is it that you wanna know ‘bout your ma and pa?”
“Everythin’ that you can remember Granny.”
