Chapter 1: The Land of Equestria (Re-Written)
It all started on that day, the day before Nightmare Night.
That day is my earliest memory.
I slowly wake up within a room on a bed under some covers with a symbol of a crescent on them. I hear a conversation going on and listen.
"Yes I know, but he still maybe asleep your majesty"
"And that's far too long now! It has been four days!"
"Fine, if he's awake you attend to his needs. If he is asleep just leave him be"
"Thank you".
I hear a door opening and turn my head to see who it was.
To my surprise it was a horse wearing a golden crown with a purple gem and what seemed to be a golden chest plate, it had a white coat with a long mane and tail with many different colors that seemed to move by itself, it had a rather long horn and large wings, it also had calm indigo eyes.
When it came in it automatically looked over at me and said "Oh good, you're finally awake."
I freaked out when it spoke and fell off the bed with the covers flying, I hit my head. I got up, rubbing where I hit my head.
The horse then said "Oh dear, are you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm ok" I replied.
The horse then said "Well that's good. Where do you happen to live?".
I blinked at the question saying "I'm not sure..."
The horse then said with suspicion "You don't know where you live?" it looked at me dead on.
"No...I don't even know where I am right now!" I said.
The horse continued to look at me, it then said "You're in Canterlot, within my palace.".
I looked at the horse and said "Canterlot? I don't think I've even heard of this place.".
The horse then said "Do you happen to know who I am?".
"No...who are you?" I asked.
The horse then said "I'm Princess Celestia, I rule Equestria along side my sister, Princess Luna. You really haven't heard of me?".
I then said "No...I don't even know Equestria."
Princess Celestia blinked and said "How strange, you don't know about Luna or I nor do you know about Equestria. You may have amnesia little pony.".
"Whoawhoawhoa, wait....I'm a pony?" I said very surprised, I looked at myself in a mirror nearby and my jaw dropped. It was true, I was a pony, one with a horn and wings like Princess Celestia, I had a grey coat and my mane and tail were both long and BRIGHT red.
Princess Celestia then asked "You didn't even know you were a pony? Do you happen to know your name?"
"...Yes, actually I do. My name is Avery" I said with slight relief.
Princess Celestia then looked at me with suspicion and said "You know your name, yet you don't even know about Equestria? What do you remember?".
I thought about this and then said "I remember falling through the sky... it was night time. There was a huge forest I was going to, but then I think I blacked out before I got to the forest."
Princess Celestia then said "That forest is called the Everfree Forest, it is very dangerous to be in because of how many vicious creatures there are".
I looked at her and then said "How did I end up here and not in the forest?".
Princess Celestia then says "While you fell through the sky my sister saw you land in the Everfree, Luckily you were very close to the entrance. My sister got you and took you to Twilight's house for the night."
"Twilight? Who's that?" I asked curiously.
Princess Celestia then said "She's my faithful student. She asked if I could bring you back to Ponyville once you recovered."
I then said "I would like to meet her."
Then Princess Celestia said "Then we shall leave at once for the day is still bright" she turns around and walks through the door and says "Come along Avery".
I followed her, tripping multiple times trying to catch up to her.
She turned around and says "You ok Avery? You seem to be lagging behind.".
I then said "It's hard to walk!" after saying that I trip and land on my face. I cover my face with my hooves.
Princess Celestia then walked over to me and said "Just take one step at a time then, I will wait."
I then got up a paced myself as I walked, I soon was able to walk a normal speed. We soon came across a pony with a dark blue coat, with a horn and wings, it was wearing a black crown and a black chest plate with a white crescent on it, its mane and tail seemed to be made of stars and moved by itself like Princess Celestia's, and it had beautiful teal eyes.
She came over to us and said "Ah, it seems that you have awoken from your slumber little one".
I just blinked, I didn't know what to say to her.
Princess Celestia then said "Yes he has, he also seems to have a strange case of amnesia, he knows his name yet he didn't even know about Equestria".
The dark blue pony then said "How odd... Well what might your name be?"
I looked at her, my heart was beating very fast. I then said "M-My name is Avery madam" I bowed my head a little to her.
She then replied "And my name is Luna, you may call me either 'Princess Luna' or just 'Luna'".
I just nodded my head.
Princess Luna then says "Well Sister, where are you two going?"
Princess Celestia said "We're going to Twilight's, she wanted him to come back after he recovered."
Princess Luna then said "Ah, well you best be careful while on the way, I heard that some of the clouds have been shooting off lightning bolts."
Princess Celestia then said "That's good to know. Well we best be on our way."
Princess Luna says "Alright, I hope you have a safe trip." she turns to me and says with a smile "I'll talk to you later Avery."
She turned and walked in the other direction, I just stared at her while she left.
Princess Celestia then said "Come now Avery, we'll be leaving shortly."
I turned around quickly and said "R-Right".
We walked to a chariot, connected to two white ponies with wings covered in golden armor. Princess Celestia got onto the chariot and waved me over. I got onto the chariot and stood by Princess Celestia.
Princess Celestia the says to the two white ponies "Alright, head to Ponyville."
The two ponies nodded and opened their wings and flew off with us in the chariot.
I then remembered something I was going to ask and said "Um, Princess Celestia what are the symbols on the ponies legs?".
Princess Celestia then said "You mean the Cutie Mark? It symbolizes the talent each pony has. My Cutie Mark is the sun, because I raise and lower the sun to make day. Luna's is the moon, because she raises and lowers the moon to bring the night."
I looked to where my Cutie Mark should be, but I didn't see anything. Suddenly something hit the chariot and it shook. I looked at the side of the chariot to see that it was burnt. Then I fell off the chariot because another thing hit the chariot on the other side. I heard Princess Celestia yell at me to do something but it was hard to hear her. I fell and fell until I landed in the Everfree Forest on my back. I slowly got up and looked around, it was very dark but I could see, barely. I did see a bag laying close to a tree nearby.
I walked over until I tripped on something, I looked to see what it was and saw multiple things barely sticking out of the ground. I got up and started to dig with my hooves. I dug until I hit something and got shocked, I backed up and looked at the spot. I then started to look around to find anything to dig with, I found a flat stone and started to dig with that. I heard a clang when I hit something, I dug around it to see that it was three objects. Two sword hilts and a white gem that was in the shape of a heart. I picked up the white gem and brought it over to the bag, then I went back to pick up the sword hilts but when I touched them they shocked me. I then used the flat stone to pick up the sword hilts and put them in the bag. When the hilt were in the bag I saw that the rock had changed color, no longer a greyish rock, it was in the pattern of a rainbow. I put the rock down and looked at the bag, it too had changed color. I picked up the white gem and looked at it for a bit, I thought it was odd that it was in the shape of a heart. I put it in the bag and grabbed the bag with my mouth and put it over my neck.
I then heard the sound of wings flapping and looked to where I fell. I saw a light blue pony with wings, it had a rainbow colored mane and tail. It hovered over the spot seemed to be in thought.
I then yelled "Hey!"
The pony then looked around quickly and then looked down to where I was and flew down.
"Aha! I finally found you! You're Avery, right?" the pony said.
I replied "Yes, I am Avery".
The pony then says "My names Rainbow Dash! The best pony in Equestria! Well, come on! Lets get out of here!" she then flew back up.
I just looked at the sky for a second then saw that she came back saying "What are you waiting for? Lets Go!".
I then say "I don't know how to fly! How can I follow you when I can't fly?"
Rainbow then looked at me with suspicion and flew back down to me and said "You don't know how to fly? Do you think I'm an Idiot?! You have wings don't you? Now use them to fly!".
I then said "I'm telling you, I don't know how to fly.".
Rainbow then facehoofed saying "ugh, fine I'll come with you through the Everfree.".
I then say "Well you'll have to lead the way, cause I don't know squat about this forest.".
Rainbow then said "Ok, then follow me!" she went and trotted forward and I followed behind.
Soon we were out of the Everfree and near what seems like a cottage.
Rainbow says "That's Fluttershy's Cottage, you'll get to meet her soon enough" she continued to walk forward past the cottage and I continued to follow her.
We soon came to a giant tree with windows and other stuff on it.
Rainbow then says "This is the library and where Twilight lives. Princess Celestia is inside waiting on you".
I looked at Rainbow then at the library and walked to it.
Then Rainbow just zoomed past me and opened the door and said "Hey! Look who I found!".
I just got to the doorstep and then Princess Celestia said "Oh thank goodness! I thought we lost you in the forest!".
I then say "Well Rainbow was around the area I fell in".
Then Rainbow says "Yeah, I told him to come with me but he just stood there. He says he can't fly!".
Princess Celestia looked at me and asks "Is that true?".
I then answered "Yeah, I can't fly".
Princess Celestia then says "Oh dear....not only do you not know much about Equestria but you also can't fly? Do you know how to use magic?".
I then say "I don't think so....I didn't think that I could".
Rainbow then said "Are you serious right now?".
Then another voice said "Rainbow, that's enough".
I looked around to see who said that, I saw a lavender pony with a horn, her mane and tail was purple with pink stripes in it and was cut evenly, her Cutie Mark was a pink star with multiple stars around it, I remembered that Rainbow's was a Cloud with a colorful lightning bolt on it.
The Lavender pony continued to speak "Even though he may not know how to fly or use magic doesn't mean anything, he could have forgotten about that when he landed in the Everfree.".
Princess Celestia then says "Oh, this is Twilight, Avery. And Twilight I hope you don't mind Avery staying here for a while do you? I want him to learn about Equestria and have you and Rainbow teach him on how to fly and use magic.".
Twilight then said "Well I do have a spare bed that he can use, he did sleep in it when Princess Luna brought him here. And I'd be more than happy to teach him the ways of magic!".
Rainbow says "I'll teach him, only if he's ready to take flying to a serious level!".
Princess Celestia then said "That's good to know, I'll go back to the palace. It's getting late now. Avery, Listen to Twilight and be on your best behavior.".
I blinked at her and say "Uh....ok".
Princess Celestia left and Twilight says to me "I'll go get your bed ready" she went up the stairs.
Rainbow then says "Yeah I'll catch ya tomorrow. You've got a lot of things to do tomorrow!" Rainbow then left.
Twilight came back downstairs saying "Hey, where did Rainbow go?".
I replied "She left, saying that I have a lot of things to do tomorrow.".
Twilight then said "Well that is true, your going to have lessons on magic with me and flying with Rainbow, we'll show you Ponyville after that! Now come on, it's time for bed".
I looked out a window and saw the moon, full and bright. I smiled a little and went upstairs to Twilight.
When I got to the top I saw a basket with something inside.
I asked "Is someone sleeping right there?".
Twilight then said "Oh yeah, that's just Spike. You'll see him tomorrow morning, but right now it's time for bed." Twilight went over to the other side of the room and got into a bed, seemingly her bed.
I went over to the other bed and placed my bag down on the side table and got into bed.
"Goodnight Avery" Twilight said.
I then said quietly "Goodnight".
I looked out a window to see the moon once more. I then closed my eyes and fell asleep.
In my dream I could hear something talking.
It said this "heh heh heh... everything is going smoothly, just a few more days and I'll be able to show every villain that I'm the TRUE Nightmare!"

Chapter 2: New Friends, New Places, New Possibilities (Re-Written)
Some say that dreams can lead to future events, in my dream...
There may not be a future to see.
I wake up by the sound of complaining and whining "Come on Twilight! That gem looks so Tasty!" followed by "No Spike! This is Avery's and I don't think he would like it if he sees it eaten!".
I get up out from my bed and see that my bag was open and that the white gem was missing. I quickly walk downstairs to find a small purple dragon with green spines jumping to get my white gem, the gem was floating with a aura around it.
"What's going on?" I say.
The Purple dragon looks over at me and says "Oh come on, why'd you have to wake up now?" he had a sad look on his face.
Twilight walked over to me with my gem floating in front of her.
She says "I'll put this in your bag and put it somewhere that spike won't find it.".
I nod my head and Twilight walks upstairs.
Spike then says "So you're Avery? I'd thought you'd be like a Pegasus or something, but you have wings and a horn! That's very rare to have you know.".
I look at him saying "A Pegasus? What's that?".
"It's a pony that have wings. The Unicorn, such as myself, have just a horn. The only known ponies to have both wings and a horn are, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Princess Cadence." Twilight says while coming down the stairs.
I then ask "Princess Cadence? Who's that?".
Twilight then says "When I was young she used to be my foal sitter, but other than that she is apart of Princess Celestia's family. She also married my Brother, Shining Armor, a while back.".
"Neat" I simply say.
"Now for your first lesson on Magic, I choose a book that has most of the spells known by unicorns. The first one there is the most common one, sometimes even foals can use that spell" Twilight said as a book in a aura hovered over to me and opening at the same time.
I looked at the pages, seeing how spells worked and the first spell, I used it on the book. It floated in a different colored aura than Twilight's, I moved it around, opening and closing it, turning the pages. I was amazed by this and I took the book over to a table with me and started to read on any other spells there might be.
Twilight then said "Alright Spike, I need you to go do something with me in Ponyville.".
Spike said "Alright".
I heard steps going to the door and Twilight saying "I'll be back Avery, just keep on learning any spells that interest you but try not to go too far.".
I said "Ok".
After about two hours of learning new spells I looked to my right and saw a fireplace that was lit. I wondered why it was lit when it was already day time. I stared at it for a while and I saw the flames move, by themselves. I looked at the flames to see which way they would go and saw that they were following my eyes. I looked up a little and the flames were there, I looked down and the same thing happened. I then thought if they would move by my thoughts, and sure enough they did.
I heard the front door open and Twilight saying "Alright Avery lets see wh- WHAT THE?!".
I had the flames held high in the air, I made them change color and make shapes.
Twilight then said shakily "A-Avery....How are you doing that?".
I looked at her and said "I have no idea! But it's awesome!".
I made them change to the shape of instruments and said "Hmmm... I wonder if I can make them sing".
I thought of a song and what instruments to use, and then I heard it, the flames were singing not only that but they sound just like the instruments as well! But after about a minute or two of that I suddenly started to feel weak, I moved the flames back over to the fireplace and then I passed out.
I come to back in my bed, I look around and see Twilight heading downstairs. After a little she came back up with a hot bowl of soup.
"Here drink this, it'll get your energy back to you." she says.
I made the bowl hover and drank it.
Twilight then says "That power is from olden times, a pony by the name of Silver Dust had the ability to do the same thing you did. However Silver used the singing aspect of her power far too much, and she died because of that. The singing aspect seems to take away the energy of the one that uses it, so be careful on how much you use it in the future.".
I nod my head after finishing the soup, I feel like my energy is back. I get out of the bed and stretch.
"Ok, lets go see Rainbow about your flying lessons." Twilight says.
"Alrighty then" I say.
Twilight then says "Spike! I'm going over to Rainbow's for Avery's flying lesson and to show him around Ponyville! Keep the library intact while I'm gone!".
Spike then says "Yeah yeah, you act like I'm going to burn the place down.".
Twilight took me through Ponyville, I look around to see the various buildings there are. We come to a stop where there is nothing but a path.
Twilight says "Here we are, Rainbow's house!".
I look at her and see that she's looking up, I look in that direction and see a patch of clouds in the shape of a house with what seemed like a liquid rainbow in the cloud.
I then say "That's Rainbow's house? How can she live up there? wouldn't she just fall right through the cloud?".
Twilight then says "She's a Pegasus, Pegasi can stand on a could like it was a solid and they can control the weather as well.".
"Interesting" I say.
Twilight then yelled "Hey Rainbow! Avery's here to get his flying lessons!".
"Well it's about time Twi. I've been following you since you brought him out of the library." a voice said behind us.
I turn around and see Rainbow Dash flying right behind us.
Twilight then says "Why didn't you say anything to us when we were going to your house?".
"I wanted to see if you would notice me following you, but it seems like it didn't work." Rainbow says having a smirk on her face.
"Well can you give him his lessons or not?" Twilight said irritated.
Rainbow then says "Yeah yeah".
She then comes to me and starts to give me lessons on how to fly, how to use the wind to your advantage, how to turn, how to stay in one place, etc, etc. About an hour later I was high in the sky with Rainbow Dash. We went to the ground and landed.
Twilight then says "Wow, you're a pretty fast learner Avery!".
I then say "Thanks".
Rainbow then says "Alright, now that out of the way, want to show him around Ponyville Twi?".
"Of course! Lets go see Applejack. I bet she would like to meet him." Twilight says. They start to walk off and I follow them.
We soon come to a Farm with Thousands upon Thousands of apple trees.
I say "Wow....That is a LOT of apples!".
Rainbow then says "Yeah, and they make the best cider in Ponyville!".
Twilight then says "Applejack should be around here".
"How 'bout right behind y'all?" A voice said behind us.
We turn around to see a pony with a orange coat and a blonde mane and tail tied at the end with a red tie, she also has a cowboy hat on and her cutie mark was three apples.
Twilight then says "Applejack! Wow, that's like the second time a pony came to us from behind. Where were you?".
Applejack then says "I was deliverin' a package for somepony. Who's this here?".
Rainbow then says "This is Avery, he's new to Equestria I guess. We just got done teaching him how to fly.".
"And use magic" Twilight included.
Applejack then said "Well, a pleasure to meet ya Avery! Mah name's Applejack, you can call me 'AJ' if ya want.".
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well Applejack" I say while bowing my head slightly to her.
"So what are y'all doing here?" Applejack asked.
Twilight then said "We're showing him around Ponyville, we thought we'd come to see you first.".
Applejack then says "Well do ya mind if I come along? I just finished mah last job for today".
Twilight then says "Of course you can, who do you think we should have Avery meet next?".
Rainbow then said "I don't think he's met Pinkie Pie yet, do you think we should let him meet her?".
Applejack then says "That sounds like a party if I've ever heard it, let's go see Rarity. Then after that Fluttershy, THEN Pinkie Pie that way we'll have everypony to have a party.".
Twilight then says "Well, you know how Fluttershy is around new ponies she hasn't met before. So this is who we'll meet in order, Rarity, then Pinkie Pie and tell her to have the party after we have shown Avery around if she thinks about partying, then Fluttershy so that way will have everypony together so she won't be afraid as much.".
I say "Sounds good to me".
Rainbow and Applejack both say "Alright!".
Twilight then says "Ok, To Rarity!".
We started to walk back to Ponyville but then I tripped on a random piece of trash someone left, and I rolled down a hill to the bottom. I heard galloping and then I was surrounded by Twilight and the others.
Twilight said "Are you ok Avery?"
Rainbow was laughing a bit and Applejack said "That was quite a tumble!".
I got up and felt really dizzy, I heard Rainbow laughing really hard now.
I say "What?".
Twilight then says "Well....that roll made your mane go frizzy and it's really dirty now.".
I then say "Aw great...".
Applejack then said "But don't you worry none, Rarity will have that fixed in no time!".
"Yeah, after freaking out and going all style crazy on him! HAHAHA!" Rainbow said laughing.
Twilight then says "Well let's get over to Rarity's and get this over with.".
We came into a building that had multiple dresses and suits made, all looked fantastic.
"Hey Rarity? You here?" Twilight said loudly.
"One Second please!" Said a voice somewhere within the building.
I heard steps coming from a stair case and from one of the stair cases came out a unicorn with a white coat, purple styled mane and tail, blue eyes, and her cutie mark was three diamonds.
"Ah Twilight, Rainbow and Applejack! What can I hel- WHOA!" The unicorn said looking at me "My dear what happened to your hair?!".
I then say "I rolled down a hill after tripping over something".
The unicorn then says "Well come with me deary I'll get that fixed up right away! Also I might throw in a suit for you too!".
I was then pushed to a different location.
I heard Rainbow say "What did I tell ya! I knew that would happen!".
She then got my mane fixed up, back to the way it was. She then put some of the suits she made on me, changing my mane to suit some of the suits. She kept on changing the suit and if was not the right style she would say something like "Too Flashy" or "Too White" or "Too Negative" or even "Too Silly".
Twilight came into the room we were in and said "Rarity, are you done yet? We still have to show him the rest of Ponyville.".
Rarity then says "Not yet dear, he should have something to wear if he's new to Ponyville.".
Rainbow then came in and said "Look, he's new to Ponyville and I mean like NEW NEW, so can we just let him see Ponyville?".
Rarity then said "Fine, if you want to have him see Ponyville so badly then go ahead, but I'm coming too.".
Twilight then says "That's fine. Ok Avery we're meeting Pinkie Pie next so you best be ready for some smiles!".
I then say while wearing a really tight suit that I can barely move in "Yeah, but can somepony get me out of this? I'm kinda trapped...".
After getting out of that tight suit I felt sore for a bit. We come to a strange looking building that seemed to be made of sweets.
Twilight then says "This is Sugar Cube Corner, a bakery and where Pinkie Pie, Mr. and Mrs. Cake, and the Cake twins live.".
I then say "A house....made of sweets.....wow....".
We all take one step then suddenly a Pink coated pony with a dark pink mane and tail that looks a lot like cotton candy appears in front of my face. I fall backwards when that happened and then the pony said "OH, LOOKY HERE! A NEW PONY! I don't think I've met you before! My names Pinkie Pie! The best party thrower in all Ponyville! Oh Here's a cupcake for you! OH and some balloons! And some Bouncy Balls! AND A CAKE!" she gave me all of what she said and the cake was to the face and I couldn't see anything.
I heard Rainbow laughing up a storm.
Twilight said "Pinkie! Wow, that's a new thing".
I cleared the cake from my face so I could see again, and saw Pinkie smiling at me.
"Sooooo, What's your name?!" Pinkie said very happily.
I then said "My name is Avery...so why was a cake thrown into my face?".
Pinkie then says "Because Everypony should get a cake when meet me for the first time! Cause this is like a really super day, you met me FOR THE FIRST TIME! And why wouldn't I give you a cake? I mean come on, cakes are so good! Especially the ones with a filled center! And the ones that have super duper extra sprinkles on the Icing!".
Twilight then said "Pinkie! We are showing Avery around Ponyville, we're about to go see Fluttershy. If you want to come that's-".
Pinkie suddenly says "OF COURSE I WANT TO COME! I just met this pony and yet I don't know much about him and I really really really want to get to know him so I know what to get for him for his PARTY!".
Rarity then said "Well, shall we get going to see Fluttershy then?".
Twilight then says "Yes, come on Avery, lets go".
I then hear Applejack saying "Come on Rainbow, Its time to get goin'".
We then head to Fluttershy's Cottage, the sun was beginning to set. We arrive at Fluttershy's Cottage and Twilight goes to knock on the door.
"Fluttershy? You home?" Twilight says at the door.
I hear a soft "Yes, come on in.".
Twilight opens the door and she goes in, the rest of us follow.
Twilight says "Hey Fluttershy, I have somepony I'd like you to meet".
A voice then says "O-Oh, well bring them in...".
Twilight then moves to one side slightly facing me and says "This is Avery, he's new to Ponyville as well as Equestria. Princess Celestia says that he has a strange case of amnesia".
I look to where Fluttershy is, she has a very long pink mane and tail, a yellow coat, very soft teal eyes and three butterflies for her cutie mark.
"H-Hello there Mr. Avery. I-I'm Fluttershy." she says.
I bow my head slightly to her and say "Hello Fluttershy, it's nice to meet you.".
Rainbow then says "Well Avery, you met all of us and went through most of Ponyville. What do you think of it?".
I then say "It's a very nice town, and you all are really nice as well.".
Twilight then says "Thank you Avery! Why don't we hea-" she was interrupted by a owl going over to her.
She then says "Owlowiscious? What are you doing here?".
The Owl then gives Twilight a note. Twilight reads it and sighs.
She says "Well Avery, it seemed that Spike has burnt the spare bed... and it will be a while before I get a new one.".
The Owl flies off.
Twilight then says "Does anypony mind if Avery stays at their house tonight?".
Then everyone wanted to have me stay at their house, I then thought of an idea.
I say "Ok how about this, I stay at Applejack's tonight, Rarity's the next night, Rainbow's the next, Pinkie's the next, and then Fluttershy's the next and repeat until Twilight gets a new bed.".
Everyone thought that was a good idea.
I then say to Twilight "Hey Twilight, is it ok if I show them the power that I have?".
Twilight looked at me for a moment then says "As long as it's under a minute, we don't need you passing out again today.".
I nod my head. Everyone was curious as to what I meant and we went outside. I then went to a nearby flame and lifted it off its burnable counterpart, and made it change color. I then shaped it to be a flute and made it sing a calm song. After twenty seconds passed little animals gathers around me to hear what I was playing. I then stopped the song when it came to the minute mark and made the flame go back to its place, I was really tired now. Everyone looked at me with awe.
I then hear a voice behind me saying "A very good tune you did play, if you could come with me I'll make it stay that way.".
I look behind myself and see a Zebra, it has a black and white striped mane that is sticking up and its tail was the same only it didn't stick up.
Twilight then says "Oh hello Zecora, what makes you come by?"
Zecora then says "Ah Twilight, I was passing by to say hello to friends so dear, then I heard that song and made me want to come here.".
Rainbow then says "Wait, you said that you could make what Avery did stay. What did you mean by that?".
Twilight then says "Well Rainbow it's a power from very old times, a pony had that power once but died because of its singing effect.".
"Yes it has power to take ones energy away and disappear, but my ancestor had a cure to make it gone for both far and near." Zecora said.
Rarity then says "If your ancestor made a cure how come the pony died?".
Zecora then says "Ah the time that he made it was short as a knife, however he did not get it to her in time to save her life.".
I then say "So you know how to make it?".
Zecora then says "Yes but it takes much of sadness and sorrow, however I know something to skip that and give to you by tomorrow.".
I then say "Alright, I'll see you tomorrow Zecora" I bow my head to her.
"That you will and I'll give you something else as well, it will be a surprise for you and shall look as beautiful as a seashell.". Zercora then went into the Everfree forest.
I asked "Why did she go into the Everfree?".
Twilight then said "She lives in the Everfree, she makes potions and brews to help with poisons and other sicknesses. She finds them within the Everfree most of the time. Right so lets go get your stuff so you can go to Applejack's!".
I then say "Sounds like a plan".
We all went back to our houses. Twilight, Applejack, and I headed to the Library to get my stuff. Spike was upstairs sleeping. Twilight got my bag and I put it around my neck, I looked inside to make sure everything was still there. I waved to Twilight as I went with Applejack to go to her house. It was now night time and the moon was full and bright once more, I looked at the moon as I walked with Applejack.
Applejack then said "You like the moon, don't ya Avery.".
I then say "The moon is a beautiful thing to look at, it kinda reminds me of Princess Luna.".
Applejack then says "Well she does raise and lower it every night. Well anyways, here we are!".
I look at the farm house and followed Applejack.
Applejack then showed me to a guest room and said "This here is the guest room, make yourself at home and I'll see ya in the morning.".
I walked in and Applejack shut the door behind me, I put my bag on a table and got into to the bed. I slowly closed my eyes and fell asleep.
In my dream I heard the same voice saying things once more.
This time it said "Ponyville oh Ponyville, the new capital of my world. I do hope that the creatures here won't make such a fit as they did back in my own world."
Chapter 3: The Mirror of Time (Re-Written)
Time is a thing that must not be messed with
but it can be used to simply look
I wake up in the guest room of Applejack's house. I get out of bed and put my bag around my neck. I walk out the door and go to the kitchen where Applejack and three other ponies are.
Applejack, seeing me, says "Good morning to ya, hope you had a good nights sleep last night.".
I then say "Yeah, but recently I've been getting what seems like the same dream. It looks the same yet every time it's a different thing said by some being.".
Applejack then says "Well that sounds pretty creepy. Let me introduce you to mah family here. This is Applebloom, that's Big Macintosh, and this is Granny Smith.".
As Applejack said the names of her family she points them out. Applebloom is a small pony with a light yellow coat, red mane and tail, and has a bow on her head. Big Macintosh has a red coat, an orange mane, his cutie mark was a half of a green apple. Granny Smith has a light green coat, white mane and tail, and her cutie mark is a pie.
Applebloom looked at me and says "Your Avery? Mah sis says that you don't have a cutie mark. Is that true?".
I then say "Yes, I don't have a cutie mark.".
Applebloom then says "Wow! You must be the oldest pony not to have a cutie mark!.".
I then say "That maybe true. Well Applejack I'm going to go walk around Ponyville.".
Applejack then says "Alright, have fun!".
I walk out of the Farm house and into the streets of Ponyville. As I walk I come by a group of ponies gathering around an area. Curious, I walk over to see a hooded figure with a cape on covering its entire body.
"This is the Mirror of Time....it allows you to see into....the past, present, or future..." The figure said with an eerie voice.
I watched as the figure spoke of this 'Mirror of Time'.
The figure then said "I will choose one of you to use the mirror.....and it shall be you, grey pony with red mane." the figure looked at me.
I looked around then stepped forward.
The figure then said "You shall ask the mirror one question, be it of past memories........current life, or future events so choose...........wisely.".
I then said "I already know what I want to ask.".
The figure then said "Then go in front of of the mirror and ask it.....the question, it shall show you what it sees.".
I then walked to the mirror and said "What was my past?".
The mirror flashed and showed nothing but my reflection.
I look over to the figure and it says "Ask it a different question.".
I then look back at the mirror and say "What will be my future?".
The mirror flashed once more and showed a grey pony that has a horn and wings covered in golden armor, the only grey there was was the face and hooves, it wore what looked like a tiara with a star on top of its head, it didn't have any mane or tail but seemed to be on fire, or was the fire its mane and tail? The mirror flashed once more showing that same figure and another figure, this figure has a black coat, white glowing eyes, a long black sword, it has a horn and dragon wings, its mane and tail seemed to be made of darkness. Suddenly a sheet covered the mirror and I didn't see the image anymore.
The figure had used a spell on the mirror and hovered it around itself.
"You saw what you asked for, now it's time to........make my leave." the figure says.
I then say "Now hold on a moment, I asked about my past and it didn't show me anything. Explain why that happened.".
The figure looked at me and said "The mirror can look into the past about 2 weeks on this day, and can see into the future about a week ahead......if asked a question like that. Your past did not show because you have no past." the figure then turned around and left.
I stood there, thinking, did I really not exist before I fell from the sky?
"Ah, the one that controls fire is here and thinking, it's a good thing I brought with me the cure to the stealer of energy from singing." a familiar voice said.
I turn around and see Zecora looking at me.
I say "Oh, Hello Zecora. You made the cure for my power already?".
Zecora then says "Yes I do have it as well as my gift, but I shall give it to Fluttershy for safe keeping until it gets lift.".
Zecora gives me a bottle filled with purple liquid.
"Now it takes time for it to become as its best, wait fifteen days or you shall have a eternal rest." Zecora says with a serious voice.
I put the bottle in my bag and look at her, then say "Oh I don't think I said my name to you yet! My name is Avery.".
Zercora then says "Avery is a nice name indeed, but I must be off for I have to get something I need." she walks away.
I say "Alright, I'll see you later!".
I continue to walk around Ponyville, seeing stores and other different ponies. I then saw Applebloom and two other ponies with her coming at me.
"There he is!" Applebloom soon said.
"This is Avery? The oldest pony you know that doesn't have a cutie mark? Come on Applebloom, there's no way that this pony can't have a cutie mark yet." said a Pegasus with a orange coat and magenta mane and tail.
"But Scoots, he doesn't have a cutie mark! See for yourself!" Said a voice from behind.
I then saw the orange Pegasus zoom past me and say "Whoa! Your right! Hey Applebloom, do you think he could join the Cutie Mark Crusaders?".
"Ah don't know." Applebloom says.
I then say "Uh, Applebloom? Who are these ponies?".
Applebloom then said in surprise "Oh! These are mah friends Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle!".
The two ponies lined up beside Applebloom smiling at me, the other pony was a white coated unicorn and she had a mix of lavender and pinkish mane and tail.
"A pleasure to meet you both" I say bowing my head a little.
"Well come on girls! We still need to do that last thing on our list for today!" said Sweetie Belle.
"Oh yeah! I forgot! Later Avery!" Scootaloo says while galloping past me.
Applebloom then says "Hey! Wait for me!" she gallops after them.
I look around where I was and then saw a store with a sign that had a gem on it. I thought it was a store for gems and such and walked to it, and sure enough it was.
I walked inside and the store owner greeted me saying "Ah! Hello there! Can I help you with anything?".
I stood there for a moment thinking about why I came in here to begin with then remembered that I have the white gem in my bag.
I then say "Actually I have a gem here and I don't really know what kind, do you happen to identify gems?".
The store owner says "Why yes of course! I know about every gem in Equestria. Now, which gem are you wanting me to identify for you?".
I bring out the white gem and show it to the store owner and he says "Ah yes, this gem is quite rare. It gets its color from the moonlight it absorbs and glows in dark places. It's called a moonstone, because of how it glows in the moonlight.".
I then ask "What makes it be shaped like that?".
The store owner says "Its a natural thing to happen. When somepony finds a gem shaped like this they usually give it to somepony they love, and I bet that's what you're going to do.".
I look at him surprised a little and say "What makes you say that?".
The store owner then says "I can see that you like somepony in your eyes, trust me I've seen ponies walk in here with the same look in their eyes.".
I just look at the store owner and put the moonstone back inside my bag.
He then says "Hey cheer up mate, I was just messing with you. Do you need anything else need doing?".
I then reply "No, I don't think so".
The store owner then says "Well come around anytime if you need. I'll be able to put that moonstone in a necklace if you want.".
I nod my head and say "Thanks I will, have a good day".
I turned around and left the store, slightly embarrassed by what he said. Suddenly Pinkie Pie appeared in front of my face out of nowhere and made me fall backwards.
"Hey Avery! Come on come on! We need to get you somewhere! Its really important!" she said while pulling me.
I then say "Whoa! Where are we going?".
Pinkie then says "I can't tell! But you'll like it a bunch!" she smiles at me with a wide smile.
After a while of going in circles through Ponyville Pinkie finally takes me to the library.
I say "If you were going to take me to the library why didn't you just say so?".
Pinkie pulled me to the door and said "Because..." she pushed me through the door and I land on my face "It's your PARTY!".
I look up and see Twilight and the other ponies around me with little party hats on, also Rainbow is laughing a bit.
"Since you haven't had a party yet this will be your first party! Isn't it exciting?!" Pinkie says with a happy tone.
I say "I guess so".
Twilight then says "You know Avery, I haven't really seen you express much feelings lately. Is something on your mind?".
I then say "I don't know, I kinda find it hard to express much feelings.".
Twilight then says "If you say so...but I still think something is bothering you.".
Rainbow finally says after overcoming her laughter "Y-You know Avery, Twilight has a point. I don't think I've even seen you smile yet.".
Pinkie Pie then says "What? Avery hasn't smiled yet?! That's terrible! That's like the worst thing to ever happen to a pony! Avery! What makes you happy more than being extremely happy?".
I look at her and say "...I don't want to say.".
Pinkie then says "Aw come on Averyyy! Tell meee!" she had a sad look in her eyes.
Rarity then says "Avery dear, why don't you want to say it?".
I then say "Cause it'll be really embarrassing for me..." I look down a little.
Twilight then says "Avery, you know that you can tell us anything, we won't laugh or anything.".
Pinkie was holding onto my front leg saying "Please tell us! We want to know! We want to make you feel happy!".
Applejack says "Avery, please tell us.".
I looked at everyone and say "Look, I would tell you if I wasn't so shy about it.".
Twilight then says "Your shy about it? Does that mean you want to see a pony you like?".
I nod my head slightly.
Twilight then says "Well then just tell us, we'll have them come here to see you!".
I look at Twilight and say "Fine....as long as you don't tell anypony else.".
Pinkie suddenly says "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!".
I look at her in confusion and then say "Ok....well the pony I'd like to see i-is....." suddenly I couldn't anything anymore and felt myself being dragged away. I looked around and saw that Twilight and the others were gone and that half of the library was missing.
I saw a black cloud of smoke come up to me and a voice said "Well well well. We finally get a chance to meet one another, you're a tough pony to copy. Well at any rate have a look around you, this will be your future.".
I look around myself, all of Ponyville was in ruin, buildings went out of shape, some of them were cut cleanly, and dark clouds hovered above.
The voice then said "Yes, this will be your future. Full of chaos and despair, it's ironic that I say my name there, and you best get used to this cause it will come in the next day!".
I suddenly see Twilight and the others around me, all with a worried look. I was laying on the ground and got up.
Rainbow then says "What the hay just happened?".
I say "....I saw a vision...of Ponyville completely in ruin, and the voice from my dreams was there as well.".
Applejack then said "Your telling me that your dreams made you collapse in front of us?".
I then say "I....I'm not sure. It looked so real.".
I look around to see Twilight writing something.
Very shortly she gave a scroll to Spike and said "Alright send it Spike.".
Spike then said "Alright!" and breathed in then blew fire onto the scroll and it burnt up in a second and turned to sparkling dust and floated out the window.
I then say "What just happened?".
Twilight then says "Spike just sent a letter to Princess Celestia. Come on now, lets go to the train station to head for Canterlot.".
I say "What? Why?".
Twilight then says "I wrote down what you said in the letter and told her that we're coming.".
I looked at her in disbelief. Twilight then left the library with everyone following.
Fluttershy says to me "Um, Avery? Zecora brought an egg to my cottage and said that it was for you. I have it with me right now, in case it hatches.".
I look at Fluttershy saying "Really? That's interesting.".
We arrive at the train station and climb onto the train.
Twilight says "Ok, the train will be leaving soon. We'll arrive at Canterlot in about thirty minutes or so.".
The train soon started to move and we were heading to Canterlot. Like Twilight said we arrived there in about thirty minutes. We all went to the palace to see Princess Celestia. It was night time when we got to the palace.
Twilight lead us to Princess Celestia's throne and Princess Celestia said "Ah Twilight you're here. I got your letter just a little bit ago but we shall talk about it in the morning, because it's late and I bet you all are very tired.".
I saw that Princess Luna was by Princess Celestia as she said that.
We all agreed that we were tired and then Princess Celestia said "I have rooms prepared for you all but it seems that we only had enough rooms for six of you. So one of you will have to share a room with either Luna or I, since I know you all like your privacy.".
I didn't say anything.
The others we discussing what to do.
Then Princess Luna said "Why don't we have Avery share a room with me?".
I felt myself blush when she said that.
Princess Celestia then said with a smile "If that's what you want Luna, I'm not stopping you.".
I look over at the others and see them with a smug on their faces.
Twilight says "Yeah....I think that's a great idea.".
I hear Princess Luna say "Great! Now I'll be able to spend some time with Avery!".
I couldn't move at all, like my body just shut down by itself.
Princess Celestia then says "Well I'll show you to your rooms, Avery you go with Luna.".
Twilight and the others followed Princess Celestia to their rooms, I heard steps coming my way.
I then hear Princess Luna say "Well come on then. Lets go to my room.".
I look at her and say "Y-Yes Princess".
Princess Luna lead me to where her room was and said "Well, here we are. It's not much but it's my room. Oh and I only have one bed here so we'll have to sleep together.".
I felt my heart beat uncontrollably.
Princess Luna then says "Here, let me take your bag and put it on the table while you get in bed. You must be really tired.".
I just nod my head and give her my bag. I then walk over to the bed, it looked a lot like the bed I first woke up in. Then Princess Luna showed on the other side of the bed, I looked at her and felt myself smile a bit.
She says "I expected you to be already in bed, is something on your mind?".
I then quickly say "N-No, not at all. I was just looking at the bed and saw that it looked similar to the one I first woke up in.".
Princess Luna then says "That's because it is the bed you first woke up in, when I brought you here my sister told me to have you sleep here while I sleep with her until you wake up.".
I look at her and say "Really? Huh...".
She then says "Well come on Avery, lets get some sleep. You're going to have to say in detail what you saw in that vision in the morning." she climbs into the bed and turns around.
I slowly get into the bed as well, I turn around to face the other way and slowly close my eyes.
In my dream I could hear the voice again.
It said "Tomorrow shall be the day, to make this land a land for great evil and chaos! Ahahaha, I can see it all now, the screams and cries of the creatures of the land."
Chapter 4: The Being Within (Re-Written)
A being that is made of darkness and chaos appears,
This is the voice that I've heard in my dreams
I wake up in Princess Luna's room. I look around myself and see Luna's front leg around my belly, my heart was beating fast now. I turn my head around to see her still asleep and smiling, I just turn back around and fall back to sleep.
I was then awaken by Luna saying "Hey Avery, It's time to get up.".
I open my eyes to she her standing at the bed side.
I look at her smiling and say "Good morning".
Luna smiles at me and says "Come on, it's time we go see my sister.".
I got out of the bed and stumbled a bit, but I remained standing. Luna gives my bag to me and puts it around my neck. I walk beside Luna as we head to see Princess Celestia.
Luna says to me "You know you're really quiet. Are you sure you don't have something on your mind?".
I look at her and say "I do, but I don't want to say. It'll be really embarrassing for me.".
Luna then says "I understand, but you can tell me anything anytime if you need. Just remember that.".
We soon arrive at Princess Celestia's throne, Twilight and the others were already there talking to the Princess.
Luna then says when we enter "We're here.".
Everyone looks over to us and Twilight then says "Ah ha, there you are. So how did your sleep go?".
I didn't say anything but Luna says "It went well, Avery is really soft.".
Princess Celestia then says with a little smug "Oh? Why do you say that?".
Luna then says "Well, I apparently hugged him like a stuffed toy while asleep. I was quite surprised that I was hugging him, but at the same time it felt really good.".
Princess Celestia then says "Well, we'll talk about that later, right now we need to discuss about Avery's vision.".
Luna then says "Right. Well go on Avery, tell us what you saw.".
I told everyone what I saw in the vision and what the voice said.
Princess Celestia says "It said that it would be like that today? Did it say when?".
I say "No, it didn't. I was back at Twilight's after that.".
Princess Celestia was silent and Twilight said "Did you see what this voice looked like? Other than the black cloud you said?".
I reply "No, it did say that I was a tough one to copy. I wonder what it meant by that.".
Rainbow then says "What ever it meant, we've got to be ready for when it shows up!".
After a while of answering questions about my vision I began to feel dizzy and stumbled around.
Princess Celestia said with a worried tone "Avery? Are you alright?".
I then say "I-I don't know, I feel like I'm going to throw up..." I started to lower my head a little.
Twilight then says "Avery don't do it here!".
I opened my mouth and a trial of black smoke came out. The smoke started to swirl around me, I couldn't see anything. Then the smoke went up into the air and came back down between Princess Celestia and myself. The smoke started to change shape and size, within a few minutes a dark figure stood there. The figure had a dark grey coat that looked almost black, a sharp horn, dragon wings, and it wore two bracelets with a black stone on each leg. It opened its eyes and were silvery and had slit pupils. It looked almost exactly like me only it had a black mane and tail.
It moved its neck around and I could hear it popping with every turn it made.
It finally said "Ahhh. It's good to be free".
Princess Celestia says "Who are you? Why were you inside Avery?"
Rainbow added "And what exactly....are you?".
The figure then looked around and said "My name is Despair. I was inside Avery for I thought his body would make a good form for me. And you ask what I am, I am made of Disharmony and Chaos. I come from a different universe, in that universe I was called the 'Demon of Chaos and Destruction'. Quite a boring title if I say so myself.".
I then say with little breath "Y-You were the voice in my dreams? The one that showed me that vision?".
Despair then said "Yes, I was the voice and yes I did show you that vision. Speaking of that" he summons a sword hilt that looked like mine and a very long black blade came out of it.
He continued speaking "It's time for me to create a world suited for the villains of this universe." he swiped the blade at all of us and a huge gust of wind came from it.
The wind was very strong and blew me into the wall, hitting my head, I was knocked out cold.
I wake up with the sounds of Twilight and the others trying to wake me up. I look around seeing everyone circled around me.
Luna says when she sees me awake "Avery! Are you alright?".
I sit up and rub my head where it hit saying "Y-Yeah, just a little bump here.".
Princess Celestia says "Avery, Despair has been going around cutting everything to dust!".
Luna says with an angry tone "He cut my room clean off of the palace!".
I then say "Is there some way that we could stop him from destroying all of Equestria?".
Twilight then said "Yes! The Elements of Harmony! They could stop him!".
Princess Celestia then says "Then lets go, we've no time to waste!".
Princess Celestia then quickly galloped past all of us, Twilight and the others followed. Luna stayed behind to help me get there.
When Luna and I get to where the others were going we see that only Princess Celestia was there.
I ask "Where are Twilight and the others?".
Princess Celestia says "They went to retrieve the Elements of Harmony from the Everfree forest. Despair said a riddle and Twilight said that they were there.".
I then say "Could I hear the riddle?".
Princess Celestia then says "Of course, he said".
I have hid your little Elements of Harmony, find them you may for I shall see. They are in a place full of timber and beasts, once you enter you'll have trouble finding a way to be released
When I heard the last part I said "Wait! They're going to the Everfree? They may never come back from there!!".
Princess Celestia looked at me in shock and said "Oh no...that is not good. Go and warn them before they enter the forest!".
I nod my head and turn around quickly, but the pain from the hit on my head was not going away and I lowered it.
Luna then says "Avery, let me come with you so that you'll be able to get there. That 'bump' seems to be more than you can handle.".
I just nod my head and luna helps me to try to get to Twilight and the others before they go into the Everfree forest.

Chapter 6: The Battle for Equestria (Re-Written)
The time has come at last
to fight the evil and save Equestria
I galloped through the Everfree forest, as fast as my four legs could go. After a few short hours of running I finally found myself outside of the Everfree. I stood at the entrance and took a breath from all the running I did, I then spread my wings and flew off to the direction on the palace. I've never flown to the palace before but that was not a matter in my mind, I needed to save everyone from Despair as fast as I could. Some of the wind got to me and I fell some, but I quickly overcame that and continued on my way to the palace.
I then crashed into the palace lobby and landed at the base of the stairs. I got up even through all the pain I was in and made my way to Princess Celestia's throne. I stopped every so often to take in the pain from the crash. I arrive at Princess Celestia's throne to see that she and Despair are fighting each other with strong magic beams, they looked equally matched. Despair then summoned his black sword and swung it at the Princess making her jump back and his beam hitting her. Princess Celestia was blown back and she hit the wall next to me with a cracking sound.
I then say worryingly "Princess! Are you alright?".
Princess Celestia then looked at me and says "A-Avery....use the Elements on him....he gathers power from the destruction he causes." she then passes out and then swirling black smoke surrounds her.
The smoke then drifted up onto the ceiling and formed a black cocoon next to seven others, Princess Celestia was no longer next to me.
I look at Despair and he says "Well well well, it seems like you made it much more quickly than I thought. It doesn't matter though you are no match for me with the power I wield." he swings around his sword.
I then put my bag next to the door and say "I may not be a match for you, but that doesn't mean that these Elements are!"
I bring out the Elements of Harmony out from my bag. They suddenly start shaking and started coming toward me, I wasn't making them do that. Then they just latched onto me and I suddenly had no control over my body whatsoever, I was in a pitch black area with a white light above me.
I could hear Despair saying "What's this? You can wield the Elements? Heh no matter, with this sword I can put a stop to your precious Elements power!".
Suddenly I feel a great amount of pain, like an electric pulse going through my body at a million watts.
Then I could see Despair again and move my body once more, I looked around myself and saw that I was in some sort of armor. I didn't even feel the armor's metal on my coat and my wings had the armor as well, I could move them easily as I did while flying. I also saw that my mane and tail went into flames. I looked in front of myself and saw my two sword hilts, only with blades this time, one of them was in a colorful ray of light and the other was made of flames it seemed like.
I then looked at Despair and he had a angered face and he said "NO! That should had knocked you out!"
He then silently laughs and says "Oh nevermind, you're still here. So lets have a battle all ready!" he pulls back his sword.
I then eyed the black cocoons and instantly teleported to them and cut them down and went back to where I was, I blinked as that happened for I didn't think I knew how to do that. Despair then charged at me yelling. I then charged at him with my swords close by. We both swung our swords at each other and they collided.
I was blown back from the impact and saw that Despair was as well, I also noticed that we weren't in the same area, we were now in the sky above the palace.
Despair then says "Well, it seems like our swords will make us teleport to a different location if we make them crash like that. Anyways," he goes into a battle pose like a samurai "lets rock.".
I then charge at him and slash at him multiple times, he blocks everyone with insane speeds. Despair then took a slash at me and I got my cheek cut. I ignored it and thrusted the colored blade at him and he just blocks it with the side of his blade.
He then says "You need to learn your plac-AH" I had my flame sword go around and strike him while he wasn't guarding.
Despair swings at the flame sword and sends it backwards, I made it come back to me shortly. Despair backs up and then charges at me, I swing my swords at him. We collide again and get blown back, this time we were above a ruined city it seemed like. I charged at Despair and slashed at him with my flame sword and thrusted my colored blade. He blocked my colored blade but got a face full of fire.
Despair backed up from the burning and I attacked again. He was sliced with my colored blade on his foreleg, I saw that it started to turn to stone for a second but then vanish. Despair yelled in pain when the blade hit him and swung his sword at me and I get cut on my belly. He swung his sword at insane speeds as it was cutting me to pieces, I then blocked his sword with my flame blade and thrusted my colored one into his belly. Despair backed up and screamed in pain as he saw that his belly was starting to turn to stone, but he soon made it vanish. Despair then charged at me and swung his sword at what looked like all his might, I then swung my swords with all my might as well.
We collided once more and ended above the streets of Ponyville.
I then saw Despair looking down, he then looked at me with pure white eyes yelling "That's it! I'm through playing games!" a black cloud soon covered his entire body and he seemed to absorb it.
Then the figure I saw in the Mirror of Time floated there, Despair was the figure.
Despair then said "Prepare to die you worthless life form!"
He charged at me with his sword in front of him. I made my swords cross each other to make them like scissors, Despair and I collided with each other with a huge blast of energy. I needed to get away from him, so I teleported above him with the colored blade by me. I left the flame blade back with Despair to fight, I closed my eyes and tried to make contact with the Elements to make this blade stronger. I could see my flame blade as I had my eyes closed, Despair was overcoming it. Suddenly I couldn't move my body anymore, I found myself back in the black area with the white light. I soon heard a loud boom and then Despair yell in pain, I looked around and then saw a bubble that floated to me with an image of what my body was seeing.
In the bubble I saw that Despair was impaled through his belly, I then saw the ground coming up behind him and him colliding with it making a small crater.
I heard Despair laughing a bit and him saying "Well done Avery, I'm impressed. You managed to stop my creation of a evil world.....heh heh heh.....We will meet again.".
I then see Despair form into a cloud of black mist and disappear from sight.
I looked around the black area I was in and said "Hey! Can I have my body back?!".
I then hear a disembodied voice say "We are the Elements of Harmony and you are the one known as Avery, correct?".
I then answer "Yes! Can I have my body back?!".
The Elements then say "We cannot give back this vessel as it is a perfect one for us to freely move around this world and protect it from the evils it holds.".
I then say with doubt and anger "What?! I-but-NO! I won't allow you to have my body!!".
The Elements then say "One moment... We are being interacted with the world we are sworn to protect.".
I then shake my head quickly for I didn't hear anyone else talking and then look at the bubble that I could use to see through my eyes. I then saw Twilight and the others, Princess Celestia and Luna talking to me.
I heard Twilight say worryingly "Avery, what are you talking about? You're right here!".
Princess Celestia then says "She's right, how could you say that you aren't you?".
I then heard the Elements say with my voice "We are telling you, we are not the one known as Avery. If you wish for him to return to this world we need proof that one of you really want him here.".
Applejack then says "He's our friend! Ain't that proof enough for you?".
The Elements then say "Negative, for him to truly return one of you must be able to express the emotion called Love for him. If you do not love him then this body shall be a permanent vessel for us to defend this world for all eternity.".
Luna then says "W-What?! That's absurd! He hasn't fully lived his life! He needs to have a peaceful life other than be trapped by the likes of you!".
The Elements then say "The verbal expression shall be accepted only this once, but if he does put us on once more you'll have to SHOW that you love him.".
Rainbow then says "W-Wait, what?".
The Elements then say "He will have control in thirty seconds.".
I then hear the disembodied voice once more saying "You are free to go, heed the warning we gave to your friends. You are now able to move around in your body, farewell.".
I then blinked and saw Twilight and the others in front of me, I moved my head to see if I could really move it. I then moved my hoof around, I was finally free.
Rarity then says "Avery.....is that you darling?".
I then chuckle, look up with a smile and say "The one and only".
Everyone then cheered as they knew that I've returned. I looked around and saw that everything was rebuilding itself, like a curse was lifted off of Equestria.
Princess Celestia then says "Well, lets take that armor off before the Elements take over again.".
I then look at Princess Celestia and nod my head. I took off the one element that was on my head, as soon at that came off all the elements came off at the same time. Once the elements were off I suddenly felt great pain, where I crashed in the palace and all the cuts from Despair. I stumbled and fell over on the ground, I then passed out.
The Fight is done, War is won
Now is the time to settle down
I wake up with nothing but squares to look at, I then look to my left and saw a curtain. I was in a hospital, how I got here is a mystery to me.
"It seems that the cuts won't heal as fast as we thought they would, they seem to be taking three times longer. He may be in here for more than a week your majesty." says a voice somewhere nearby.
"Thank you for notifying me about it nurse, I do hope that he will recover soon. Oh and please give these to him." says another voice.
"Will do, please feel free to visit anytime." says the other voice.
I heard steps going away and something being placed.
Then I saw a white pony in a nurse's outfit come to me and says in surprise "Oh dear! you're awake! I didn't know that you were awake, I could've had the Princess speak to you.".
I just look at the nurse, I couldn't move much.
The nurse then says "Well, I don't know if you heard but, your cuts seem to have a more slower recovery than most cuts. You may be in here roughly around a week, but you can move around by tomorrow afternoon. I did my routine on you just minutes ago before the Princess walked in, you seem to be doing quite alright for a pony that has cuts all over. Anyways, it's a little after one a clock so you may have visitors.".
I continue to look at her, I couldn't move my mouth to speak, it hurt too much.
The nurse then says "Well, I'll check on ya later. Be careful not to fall over or anything.".
After a few minutes of just looking at the ceiling I heard steps coming from the hall, I then hear the nurse saying "Avery, these girls are here to see you.".
Suddenly I heard multiple steps coming to me and then I saw Twilight and others around me.
I say quietly "Twilight! Pinkie! Rainbow! Everypony! You're here!".
Pinkie then says "Well, DUH! We wanted to see how you were doing silly!".
Rarity says "Quite right, since after that enormous fight with Despair why wouldn't we come to see you?".
Rainbow dash then says with a loud voice "Hey Avery! You'd never guess what you did while fighting him! You actually made a Sonic Boom! I call it the 'Sonic Flame'! Since it was all on FIRE and that!".
Twilight then says "Yeah, and Avery, Princess Celestia wanted to see you after you gotten better to tell you something. She went down here to tell you about it personally, but the nurse said that you were still out cold! That has been three days, but now you're alright. And with Despair gone you won't have anymore voices in your head!".
I chuckled a little and said quietly "Well....There may be one voice in my head, but this is a voice I'd rather hear than Despair's." I cough a bit.
Applejack then says "Easy there, Don't be talking too much now.".
Rainbow then says "Like he talks a lot, I mean come on he barely even talks to anypony!".
Twilight then says "Rainbow! That's not very nice. Sure he doesn't talk to most ponies, but that's probably because it's in his nature.".
Rainbow then says "You mean like Fluttershy?".
Fluttershy then says "Oh! Avery! I forgot to tell you that your gift from Zecora hatched!".
I look at Fluttershy and she says "It's true! It's a cute little blue birdy!".
I smiled, I've always liked birds.
Pinkie suddenly says "Hey Avery, who're these cards from?".
I look over at her to see two cards on a table, one with the symbol of the sun on it and one with the moon.
I say quietly "I'm not sure.".
Pinkie then says "Well why don't we read them and find out?!" she reaches over to grab them.
Then Twilight says "Pinkie! If the cards are for Avery then he should read them first.".
Pinkie then said "Oh! Oops, sorry Avery!".
Rainbow then says "Anyways, Twilight what did ya mean earlier when you said that Avery not really talking to others is in his nature?".
Twilight then answers "What I mean is that he has a quiet nature, he doesn't like to talk unless he's spoken to, he's more of a thinker than a speaker, and usually hides most feelings.".
I just stare at Twilight as she said that.
Rainbow then says "Oh, I get it now.".
I then remember something and say quietly "Hey Twilight, what happened to my bag?".
Twilight then looked at me and said "Oh, your bag is at my place. Princess Celestia sent it to me to hold onto until you recovered. Zecora dropped by and told me about your cure for your fire singing ability, she said that you had to wait about ten more days until you could drink it."
I nod my head, and say quietly "Well could you bring my bag over next time you come here? I would like to have it.".
Twilight then says with a smile "Of course".
We then talked and talked until the nurse said it was time to go, I said my goodbyes and looked at the nurse.
The nurse said "Well, your friends sure do care about you for staying here that long! Anyways, it's time to get some sleep. Tomorrow's a brand new day!".
I then say quietly "You got that right.".
The nurse smiled at me and left the room. I turned my head as slowly as I could to not get any pains and looked out a nearby window, the moon was out once again. I sighed happily and closed my eyes and fell swiftly asleep.
In the morning I woke up and looked around, it was still the same room as before, nothing new. I turned my head a little and I could actually move it with ease now. I could finally move my body with less pain that I was feeling before. I looked over at the cards on the table beside me and picked them up with magic, I made the one with the sun symbol hover over to me and opened it. It read:
I do hope you get well soon, you just saved all of Equestria and for that I have something for you. Come meet me at the palace when you are fully recovered. Sincerely, Princess Celestia
I then placed it next to me and made the other card hover to me and opened it. It said:
Avery, when you said all that stuff about me in the Everfree I felt like telling you the same, only I didn't have it in me to say so. When you get a chance come to the palace and meet with me, I have something to give you. Get well soon! With love, Princess Luna
There was a little doodle on the bottom of the card. I wondered what it was that Luna would want to give me, as a matter of fact what was Princess Celestia going to give me??
After that things went on its normal route, the nurse checked up on me, Twilight brought my bag back to me and we talked for a bit, other visitors dropped by to thank me for what I've done, and Fluttershy brought over the blue bird that she said that was the egg and it was really a blue Phoenix and I named it "Sapphire". After that day ended a new one began, and it just repeats until I finally get out of the hospital. On the day I get out of the hospital Twilight and the others were there to greet me.
Twilight says "Where do you want to go first before you meet the Princess?".
I then say "The gem store in town, I want to get the moonstone in a necklace for somepony.".
Twilight smiles and says "Alright" she turns around and starts to walk to town, we all follow behind.
We soon enter the Gem store and the owner then says "Welcome! What can I get ya?".
I then walk up to him and say "Hello again, I would like to get the moonstone in a necklace for somepony.".
The owner then laughed and said "Hey! It's you! Welcome back! And of course! I'll get that moonstone in a necklace in no time!".
I then give the moonstone to the owner and he went back to go put it in a necklace.
Rainbow then asked "You met this guy before?".
I answered "Yes, it was before I had my vision. I don't know his name but he was nice to me.".
Soon the owner came back with the moonstone in a beautiful golden necklace saying "There we are, a moonstone in a polished gold necklace! And say, what happens to be your name kid?".
I take the necklace and place it in my bag, I turn to the owner and say "My name's Avery. What is your name?".
The owner then says "Name's Emerald Flash, nice to meet ya Avery!".
I bow my head to Emerald and say "A pleasure to meet you as well.".
Emerald then says "You can keep the necklace for free, it's the least I can do for a hero.".
I say "Thanks but I'm no hero.".
Emerald then says "Whatever mate, just invite me to your wedding if ya get married!" he laughs.
I then leave the store with the others following.
Twilight then says "Well Avery, you ready to go see the Princess now?".
I look inside my bag, there laid the moonstone necklace, the cure Zecora gave me, and the two cards.
I then looked at Twilight and said "Yes, I do believe so.".
Twilight then smiled and said "Alright, then everypony gather around. I'm going to teleport us there.".
Everyone did gather around Twilight as so did I, then Twilight used her magic to make us teleport to the palace. We soon arrived somewhere, I didn't know where cause the teleport made me completely dizzy and I stumbled around.
I bumped into something soft and then a voice said "Well, seems that we're a bit lovey right now".
I finally began to see clearly and saw that I bumped into Princess Celestia.
I backed up and said "S-Sorry" with my head down.
Princess Celestia then said "Oh it's quite alright Avery. Now I wanted you here because I found something....disturbing about you.".
I then quickly look at Princess Celestia in confusion.
She continued speaking "I found a very old tablet while looking through records of the past to see if you were in any of them, the tablet showed you....only you transformed into a monster. it seemed that it foretold that you were going to destroy everything in your path in the future.".
I looked at Princess Celestia in disbelief.
She then says "That's what I've found out about some of the tablet, I'm still figuring out the rest of it. Anyways enough about that, I was going to give you something. Guards, bring it in.".
I hear steps coming from my left and look over and see two guards carrying something covered with a sheet.
Princess Celestia says "Avery, because you have saved Equestria and put a stop to Despair's evil reign, I'm giving you this." the guards took the cover off and showed a set of black and purplish armor.
She continues "This is the armor of the night guard, it allows speed and flexible movement.".
I just look at it in amazement, the armor shined as the sun hit it through the window.
I then say "I really like it Princess, but could you keep it safe until I really do have a time to use it.".
Princess Celestia says "Of course. Take it to the Elements Chamber.".
The guards then did what they were told and left with the armor. Suddenly I heard steps coming from another direction and look to where it was coming from.
Luna soon appeared saying "Tia, we're out of that fancy juice. Do you think we cou-" she looks over at me "Avery! When did you get here?".
Twilight says "We actually arrived a few minutes ago.".
Luna then says "Oh? I didn't expect you to be here today.".
I just looked at Luna for a while as she said this.
I then say "Uh Luna? I have something here for you.".
Luna then looked at me and said "Really? Something for me? After all that you've been through you want to give somepony something? What is it?".
I then slowly take out the moonstone necklace with magic and say "It's this....I'd thought it would look good on you.".
Luna then takes the necklace with her magic and looks at it.
She then suddenly shouted with a HUGE voice "THANK YOU AVERY!" the blast of the voice was so strong that it blew me back and I tumbled and softly hit the wall behind me.
I looked at Luna in surprise, she had a hoof over her mouth and says "O-Oops, I guess that sometimes gets out ha ha...".
I then got up and said "Wow...That was wild.".
Luna looked down quickly and said "Sorry! I didn't mean it!".
I then look at her and say "It's ok, at least I know another reason why I like you now!" I laugh nervously.
I then saw Luna look up in surprise and look at the necklace again, she then put it on.
Pinkie then suddenly says "Well Avery, are ya up for a party?!".
I turn to her and say "Are you kidding? I've been waiting for one to begin all week!".
Pinkie then grins widely and disappears rather quickly. I look around and then suddenly a loud boom sounded, I then saw a bunch of streamers fly and other stuff fly by as well. Music began to play and Pinkie appeared again in the middle of the room dancing.
I then say "Well! This is more like it!".
I looked around and saw everyone dancing to the music, including Luna and Princess Celestia. I then listened to the music for a bit and started to get a feel for it, I soon danced how the music playing. All the day and through the night, we danced and sang and partied until we fell, it was the best day out of many of my life.

Chapter 5: Despair's Riddles and the Neverfree Forest (Re-Written)
A riddle telling where the Elements are
and a forest that will lead you in circles forever
As we continue to go to the Eveerfree forest we see that most of the surroundings have been completely destroyed, some things even went out of shape.
Luna says "My word, this is terrible!".
We continue on our way to the Everfree and pass the library which was half gone, Twilight and the others run out of the library soon.
I then say "Twilight! Thank goodness you haven't gone into the Everfree yet!".
Twilight looked at me confused and said "What do you mean Avery?".
Luna then says for me "If you go into the Everfree you may not be able to escape from it!".
Applejack then says "What do ya mean by that?".
I then say "It was in the riddle 'They are in a place full of timber and beasts, once you enter you'll have trouble being released' it basically said that if you go in there, chances are you may never be able to get out.".
Twilight and the others gasped, Pinkie Pie then says "That's no fun! What good is it if you can't get out of a place you have no fun in" she pouts a little.
Twilight says "Well if we're ever going to get the Elements back we need to go in there.".
Luna then says "That's true. Maybe we can think of something when we get there."
I then say "Fine... lets just hope we don't get lost.".
We make our way to the Everfree to see that it has become different, more scary looking than what it did before.
Fluttershy says quietly "I-I don't like the look of it...".
Soon Zecora comes out of the forest, covered in branches and what not saying "I am finally free from that forest of twists and turns, I must warn the others so that they shall learn!" she then galloped away.
Rainbow then says "Well, that proves that you can escape from here.".
I then say "Yeah...we'll see once we get inside." I tried to walk there but my head ached so much that it made me stop.
Luna comes to me saying "Hey don't push yourself so hard, I'll stay by you as we head inside.".
We all went inside the Forest at the same time only to be separated by everyone, I was still with Luna.
I look around and say "Twilight? Pinkie? Fluttershy? Where are you girls?".
Luna then says "It seems that they went somewhere else, that means that this forest makes you go into a random part of the area until you find your way out!".
I then say "Oh no....Lets hurry and try to find the Elements, maybe we can use them to find the others.".
Luna and I continue on together through the forest that doesn't seem to have a end. After what seemed to be hours of walking we find ourselves at a corner of trees with a hill of food at the base of them.
Luna then says "Wow what luck! I've been wanting something to eat for a while now. Come on Avery, lets take a break and eat something.".
I thought that would be a good idea, I haven't eaten anything for a while myself. We walk to the hill of food and began to choose what to eat.
As we eat Luna asked me "Avery, why do you like me?".
I then say "W-What do you mean?".
Luna says "Don't try to hide it, from the first time I saw you I saw something shine in your eyes as you looked at me. Even when you came to Canterlot to talk about your vision, when I suggested that you shared a room with me I saw your blush. Don't think I didn't. So tell me, why do you like me?".
I look at Luna quietly for a while, then finally say "Well...your very beautiful, you have a voice like an angels choir, your personality is fantastic, your mane and tail are like blue flames on the breeze, your eyes are like gems, and whenever I look at you or the moon I see a pony that will always shine in my eyes.".
Luna looked at me and says "I-I don't think anypony has said something like that to me before. Do you really mean that?".
I then say "I mean it as much as life means to us all.".
Luna looks at me with a smile and her eyes softened. I smile back at her and continue eating.
When we finished I felt the pain on my head go away, like the food had special healing properties.
I stood up and said "Well, ready to go?".
Luna says "Yes, lets keep searching.".
We then continued through the forest, turning through the twists and twisting through the turns. After hours upon hours of walking we stop.
Luna then says "Avery, lets rest for a bit. I do believe that it's night time, but it's so hard to tell by the way the trees block out the sky.".
She was right, the trees were blocking the sky, I couldn't even see a speck of the sky anywhere. I looked at Luna to see that she had laid down, she must have been tired.
I slowly walk over to her, she looked at me and said "Come on, maybe some sleep will help us.".
I then lay down next to her, I felt something covering my back, I turned my head to see that it was Luna's wing. I then just turned my head back around and laid it down, I was very tired. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
I wake up and feel something under me, I look and see that Luna's wing had wrapped around me. I look over to her and see that she was still asleep. I didn't want to wake her but we had to find those elements. I nudged her with my nose since my wings and legs were wrapped by Luna's wing. She opened up her eyes slowly and yawned.
She then looked over at me and said "Well hello there.".
I then say "Uh Luna, we need to get going soon. Who knows what Despair has done to Equestria.".
Luna then lifted her head up and said "Right, we need to hurry.".
She unwrapped me and stoop up, I stood as well. We both continue through the forest.
Very soon we find ourselves at a strange corner of the forest with what looks like a mushroom like table in the center, on top of that table was six objects that I never seen before.
Luna then says in delight "The Elements of Harmony! We found them!".
I then say "What? Those are the Elements?".
Suddenly a cloud of black smoke appeared above the Elements and the face of Despair forms in the smoke.
Despair then says "Well CONGRATULATIONS! You've found the Elements of Harmony in less than a days time!".
I then say "What? We were in here in for almost an entire day?".
Despair then laughed and said "No no my boy, YOU were in here for almost a day.".
I looked at Despair then looked back to see that Luna was gone and only her crown was left.
A sudden anger filled me and I turned back to Despair saying "Where is she?!".
Despair then said "Who? OH, the princess of the night that's been following you around here and being by your side? Yeah I took her back to the palace along with your other friends" he had a wide crazed smile.
I looked at him with anger that you wouldn't believe and soon said very loud "Once I find you your going to regret doing the things you've done to everypony in Equestria and to my friends!!".
I saw that Despair's face backed up a bit in surprise and said "Well well well, a big talker aren't we? And I knew that you could control fire, but to CREATE fire at your will? That's a new thing even for me. heh heh heh, we'll meet again Avery, at the palace."
Despair's face then popped out of sight. I then looked around quickly, still filled with anger. I saw flames circle around me as I was angry. I calmed down and the flames then disappeared. I picked up Luna's crown and looked at it, I then put it in my bag along with the Elements of Harmony.
I then galloped as fast that I could through the forest saying "Luna, Twilight, Pinkie, Rainbow, everypony that has suffered Despair's evil reign. I shall put a stop to this, even if I have to die to get it done!"
