Dear Diary.
They made me listen to that noise again.
It’s made up of all these loud bangs, scratches and squeaks; I don’t like it. They play it constantly, though I’ve started to realise it’s not always the same noise. They claim it was created by a famous pony in the distant past.
They claim a lot of things.
They say I remind them a lot of her, my colouring and my Cutie Mark. They say when I was made my parents must of had her in mind. I once asked them why they said 'made' instead of 'born'. They just smiled at me and told them I wasn’t the born type, I still don’t know what they meant by that. I wish I knew what my parents were thinking; in fact I wish I knew who my parents were. But I’ve told you that already haven’t I, Diary?
The played the noises a few more times and then I fell asleep. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Summer 4258 S.E
Dear Diary,
They brought something strange into my room today. It was a large square contraption; two disks looking like my Cutie Mark were placed on top of it with a slender white stick that pointed over them. Numerous dials and knobs which could be moved up or down adorned its face; I played with these while they stood and watched me.
Eventually I grew bored, but they wouldn’t let me sleep unless I wore the special hat. I hate that hat. It makes me feel weird when I wake up. Sometimes I even know things I didn’t before; it scares me. But they give me time to write in you before they make me sleep.
Summer 4258 S.E.
Dear Diary
I woke up this morning with the thoughts of the turntable in my head. It’s actually a very simple piece of technology; you levitate these things called records onto the circular bits, pull the lever, and press some buttons and then the noise plays.
I notice they have left me some records next to the turntable. I used my magic to levitate them up and onto the turn table; hitting the buttons to make it all work.
WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB!
I turned it off quickly. I don’t like that noise Diary, it’s loud and unfriendly. I take the record off and try a new one; this one is softer with a slightly slower beat. My head starts to bop up and down with the beat, going faster and faster almost out of control. My neck is sore. I hear a ringing and then I hear a zapping noise.
I’m frozen; I hear the door slide open and the clopping sound that announce they have come in. One stands in front of me; an ancient device in his hands, the other comes and stands beside me.
The device clicks and there’s a flash.
I force my eyes to look down at the object that’s fallen out of the device. It shows a metallic being standing next to one of the ponies in black suits. The being looks strange, it’s white with blue lines running over it; its horn is glowing with raw electricity but there doesn’t seem to be any solid form to it. Its legs have the same problem with only small patches of white plastic at the front.
I stare at the thing's mane for a while; trying to figure out what it’s made out off but one of them interrupts me before I can. I try and ask why they brought this strange creature into my room but as I open my mouth I hear a click and everything goes black.
