During this powerfully stormy night, two hooded ponies keep a fast, yet steady, pace through the trees and heavy rain attempting to flee from something...or someone. "Gallant! Please slow down, I can't keep up!" said the other hooded pony, her voice filled with the seeming of a mare in pain. " I'm sorry my love but we must get as far away from that cursed city as possible. I will not have you reside there any longer, not while 'HE' is in control", said the larger hooded pony. Through the sound of heavy, clanking metal you could hear the voice of a stallion from under this hood. As they continue to sprint through the forest, assaulted every step by the fierce storm, the mare's hoof catches a large stone in the middle of their path. Falling, landing on her stomach, she cries out in agony. The stallion immediately stops to help his injured companion to her feet, leaning her against the nearest tree. Taking on a life their own, the mare's legs attempt to provide release for the life within. "Oh no, not now Crescent! You must hold on, you must!" Tossing her head back, crying out in pain, a long scarlet mane held in a ponytail braid falls around the golden shoulders of a fearful unicorn mare. " I cant hold off any longer!" Scooping up Crescent, Gallant runs as fast as he can to a nearby cave he spotted from beneath his hood. Feeling his wife cringe in pain, expelling blood and broken water with every groan, Gallant hurries to a nearby cave he spotted from under his hood. After setting Crescent down inside the cave, the towering unicorn pulls back his hood revealing his rust colored coat and brown mane which barely conceal the dried blood matted in and matching his coat. A scar over his right eye, although intimidating,does not hinder Gallant's vision. However, the freshly sewn eye-patch covering his left eye does. Using his magic he lights up the cave and kneeling infront of his wife who was in a huge amount of pain " it's coming ahhhhhh it's coming!!". the young mare breathed rapidly and screamed at the top of her lungs as a small horn began to come out from between her legs. "that's it come on push you can do it." Her husband said cheering her on while he had his hands out ready to catch the little newborn foal. with a few more pushes the little foal came out and landed in his father's hands.The new born foal was a jet black unicorn with a white mane and the little foal gave out a cry that when he did the storm grew stronger and loud. Gallant turn to see the storm grow and looked back at his son who's little legs were kicking like he was running. " what a energy you have little one and the storm grows stronger with you i shall name you Storm Runner." He looks to his wife who smiled at the name but suddenly starts to scream again. Gallant couldn't believe it a second foal was being brought into there lives. When the second foal came it was another colt with colt was as white as snow and had a mane as black as night. As his new son cried out for a breath the storm stopped and began to clear a ray of sun light beamed down on the cave and Cresent spoke. " Sky..(pant) Breaker....( pant) his name will be my love." He looked to his wife and looked down to his new son " Sky Breaker a strong name these young colts will do great things. great things indeed." with the sun shinning bright and the skies clear of the raging storm the future was looking bright. -5 years later- "Stand fast general of the black army Gorn Horn!" Me and Sky were playing our favorite game Battle of the Horns that our father took place in leading the soldiers and knights into battle. Oh yea by the way my old man Gallant Step is a knight of the Equestiran Royal court. He was a top general, national hero and a adviser to the old king of the land. But back to the game me and Sky were playing the battle. i was the dark general.....again and Sky was our father.......again" take that Gron face my blade" Sky yells as he hits my head with his toy sword." OW SKY THAT HURT! why am i always playing the bad guy?"I look at my brother with a tear in my eye. my brother looks at me and said's" Cuz your really good at it and you never really ask to play as da" the sound of a heavy foot step enters the room we both look up to see a armored stallion standing in the door way. " Now who dosent really want to act as me when acting out one of my victories?" we both smile as our father smile after speaking. "DA!!" we both yell as we run to him clutching his legs. Our mother walks in to greet our father the meet with a kiss and he looks down to us and crouches to our height. " so my brave little knights are you ready for your first day of training?" our father wanted us to be knights like him and to help him in the battle against the new tyrant lord of Equestria the god of chaos the master of mistif and the bringer of horror Discord the Draconaqus. "Ya Da we are ready to become knights and slay monsters and protect the land like you " i say as my brother nods in agreement with me. Our father smiles at us." Well then my boy's let us be off the day is good and we must go. for if we stay the night the scariest monsters and gouls come out to snatch away little colts and fillies for a midnight snack!" I being young shakes like a leaf but my brother smirks at my fathers story. We follow our father out the door and our mother kisses our cheeks wishes us luck and kisses our father. Telling him to take care of us during the training he only nodded and walk behind us. the training of a knight is hard and filled with peril but with my brother and parents at my side i will rise from the darkest knights and the shine brighter then the sun to protect the weak, to destroy evil were it grows but most importantly to keep safe your family and friends that was not only the code of a knight but the code of my family. Life was so simple, all me and Sky did was train and live on the family farm. Train and raise crops never worry about what was going on on the outside world." I paced back and forth in the room trying to remember more of my past, trying to figure out when the world and his life went to hell. But again the blinding white light appered and he looked into it seeing another memory this was a good memory and this one was when his life changed forever. "Hey now i remember this. this when me and Sky............" and I went mute as the light engulfed me and i faded back to the time when things changed for me and my brother. *Edge of the Everfree forest west side, cliff face. 15 years later* Gallant blade sits upon a cliff looking out on the rest of the Everfree, the rest of the world and can only fine peace which bring some happiness in this crazed world full of chaos and horror. Gallant breaths deep sucking in the smoke from his pipe the taste of the tabacoo fills his mouth and he closes his eye and begins to meditate. With his blades strap to his side he may be at peace but he was always ready to fight always, always ready to go to war. His back to the forest he couldn't see the two figures moving throught the tree line quietly swords bared and armor quitely shuffling as they ready to strike. Suddenly gallant's eye shot opened and the two armored attackers jumped from the trees blades raised up and were brought down to strike gallant. But with speed that surpassed the attackers. He drew one of his blades with the sheath still attached to it and blocked the two strikes and shoved them off with one arm and he smiled at the attackers. " You did well to hide your pressence and you suppresed your magic so i couldn't feel it you two are strong. But I will not let up on you." He looked upon the two warriors and smiled. the two wore armor that looked like the eastern bushido warriors one wore white armor that looked of the clear sky the other black he had seen before there helms that had holes on the top so there horns could stick out of them and the biggest feature on the helms was there eyes. The helmets have magic in them that make the eyes look whited out to give them a more fierce look to them and stood poised in a fighting stance low to the ground ready to strike again. Gallant steels himself drawing both blades from there sheaths as the two warriors prepared themselfs. " Alright then come at me." The moment he stopped speaking the two assailant began there attack unleashing a torrent of strikes with blinding speed and heavy blows. The sounds of clashing metal and armor, grunts and yells of combat filled the forest as the attackers kept striking until gallant made one fatal move. He over stepped with his blind side and left a opening. the white armor attacker saw this and went for the shot. But the black assalint stopped in his tracks with gallants blade near his throat and the other blade near the other attackers heart. Gallant was about to say something but he felt something on his chest he looked down to see the two attacking blades crossing over his chest. all he could do is smile and pull his blades away and stand up. " Well done you have passed you final test now remove your helms and take a knee my sons." The two removed there helms to reveled to be myself and my brother Sky it has been a long and hard time. Training day and night fighting hard to become what we were born to do. Today was the day we joined our father in the noble ranks of knighthood. We were to become knights of Equestria. " I the Knight commander Gallant Blade of the Equestrian knights, anoint you, my sons Sky breaker and Storm Runner to follow your ancestors as i have in becoming knights sworn to protect the weak, make strong the good and banish all darkness back from wence it came from. Kondia Ameraa curo dundike. these are the words of our family they mean for life we fight and now with the power invested in me i knight thee." He draws his sword dawn and taps it on both our shoulder. " Sir Sky breaker, Sir Storm Runner no longer squires you answer to no one but the true rulers of Equestria the princesses. Now rise as Stallions, rise as Warriors, rise as knights!" After saying that our father took out his blades of our family the ancient swords dawn and dusk. the blade dawn was a light colored blade that shimmered in the light and the guard was half of a rising sun. The other sword Dusk was a darker color blade that glowed in the light of the night and the guard was that of the moon. Sky was given dawn and I was given dusk, when I took dusk I could feel a connection with the sword and for a moment i thought i could feel a heart beat in the sword like it was alive. From the stories we were told as colt's the swords were made by our forefather, he took his own heart and soul and put it into the blades to defeat a sinister dark dragon. But he died after the battle but his heart and soul still lived within the swords and within each of us. We have never felt so honored to continue to carry our family tresures. Both of us rose to our hooves and embraced our father. The pride that me and sky felt this day would carry us forward from this day to our last. "come my sons let us return home i think i can smell your mother's cooking she must be waiting for us. Tonight we shall celebrate your knighthoods and to the future my boys." We both gave out a battle cry of happiness and all three of us headed home to wooden cottage built into the trunk of a tall old oak tree the house was not old but the tree has been there for 500 years. I counted the rings as our father built our home with only his hands and minimal magic. Now i know what your thinking "why is a unicorn not using all his magic?" well my father had a saying, "when magic failed the mind provale, when the wings fail the muscles provails" he told this to all his troops from unicorns to peguses and earth ponies. These are words we were told everyday so we made our bodies stronger and our minds sharper. We reached our home to see our mother standing outside smiling at seeing us and her holding a plate of fresh cookies. our mouths water as me and sky tackle the cookie plate and we fight over them. she giggles and rolls her eyes and walks over and hugs our father, kissing him. she then walks over to us and hugs our heads. " I'm so proud my colts are now stallions and knights. I'm the proudest mother alive." she starts to tear up, only with tears of joy not of sadness. "mother were are the ones more happier and honored to be your sons." Sky said to her as we kiss her cheeks hugging her back. our father joined the hug and we all had a good laugh. Then our father stood up and said to us" today is a day to celebrate, my sons knights and me and my beautiful wife living life. Tonight we celebrate and then tomorrow my sons we join the war." we both looked at each other with serious faces and looked back at our father and nodded at him. But after all of us entered our home we celebrated with a full spread of food and drinks. we haven't had this much fun since me and my brother got our cutie marks after we were squired, our marks were a knights helmet with a shield and sword in the background. Our parents were beyond thrilled when we got them. after a nigh of celebration our parents went up to their room and sky helped me up to our room cuz i kinda got a little crazy with the cider. not my proudest moment. As we reach our room i look at my brother." you nervouse?" He only smiled and shook his head. "No Storm im terrified hahahah!" We both laughed loud and hard as we entered our room and hit the hay. *Next morning* A open shutter and a blinding light and me and sky are up and getting ready to join the fight against discord. but when we reach the kitchen we find our mother with two bags and our armor polished. she stands there smiling at us. " your father went ahead to tell the princesses about you two and prepare you to join the fight." she starts to tear up " im so scared and proud of you three, but im afraid you wont come home" she puts her face in her hands crying. me and sky move to her hugging her. " Mother we will come home, all three of us i promise." sky said as we hugged mom tighter she smiled and kissed our heads and helped us into our armor and we headed off from home. with a final wave goodbye we left mother to go see our father and the rebel forces. " Haha i can't wait to fight alongside father and the princesses." i said to sky who was in deep thought. " Yea me too, i can hardly contain myself, annddd have you heard the rumors about the princesses. From what the old man told us they are suppost to be really beautiful." a devilish grin creeps onto sky's face." Ha and what are we thinking of gutter head? You think you got a chance to romp in the hay with them?" i laugh out loud. as sky looks at me." Buck yea brother Especially the older sister Celestia I've heard she's drop dead gorgeous with a plot that lasts for days." Sky thinks more a he starts to drool a little with naughty thoughts building in his mind. i could only roll my eyes and think about the other sister Luna i was told she was not like her sister but in her own why she was more beautiful then her older sister and that she was a brilliant mind which was something i held high in my head. In truth i couldn't wait to see her and see if the rumors of her beauty and mind were true. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" A loud yell filled the woods as we began to run towards the sound of yelling and fighting. But the thing that made our hoofs feel like they were off the ground flying was the heavy scent of blood that filled the air, we knew then we had to fight and be ready to kill if needed. We reached the site of the battle to see a blue alicorn with a cresent moon cutie mark on her armor and twelve guards surrounding her and the opponent was a large ursa major. But there was something off about it ursas were normally not this agrressive to attack for no reason, with a quick glance we saw the eyes of the animal to see them yellow and red swirled irises. This ursa was under the control of Discord as a crazed war beast. The giant beast swung its huge claws at the group slashing the three front guards killing them instantly there armor and flesh torn like paper, blood covering the ground and gasps of the fallen warriors. the warriors closed around the alicorn one warrior young and inexperianced attacked the ursa striking it on the face with his blade. The blade merily bound off the beast and it clamped its jaws around the young fighter. the monsters fangs crunched and smashed him in his maw the guggled screams of the warrior struck fear in the others the you blue alicon merely yelled out" For Equstria thou must fight!" she lunged at the ursa striking it with her slender rapier mutiple hits land on the beast's face even one shot plucks out it's eye. The chaos ursa gave a awful wail and struck the alicorn with the back of its paw slamming her in to a tree, it then charged her and stopped before her standing on its hind legs and brought a paw upwards and brought it down to strike her, to kill her. She was out of breath and the guards couldn't reach her in time so it was time for us to act. As quick as lighting and as strong as a mountain Sky drew dawn and blocked the claw holding fast as i helped up the mare to her hooves and handed her off to the guards. with a quick flash of magic our helms appeared over our heads and our eyes turn white as death and we let out our battle cries swiftly moving around the beast slashing and striking its sides, head and neck until the crazed ursa drops dead at out feet. with a yell of victory the warriors around the warrior mare cheer and yell glad that the monster is no more. With the fight over our helemts vanish and we turn to the smiling alicorn, Suddenly her face turned from a smile to a shocked and horror as she raises her hand to us pointing and yelling at us. we turned to see what she was pointing at. *GLUSHED* My eyes went wide as i looked down to see claws buried in my chest and blood pouring out of me. Sky could only yell as the ursa who came back to life lift me off my feet and throw me at the princess and her guard. i landed into her arms a bloody mess and my head in her lap as she cradles it looking at me with a sad face all i could do is look at her beautiful cyran eyes knowing this was princess Luna and say in a heavy voice "........Sir..*pant* Storm Runner....*pant* at...*pant*....thy service*pant*.....your highnesss." I say as I slowly slip into a coma and begin to die bleeding to death. A single tear drops from her eyes as she looks up to see my brother fight the ursa with only one arm. The ursa took it with a swipe of its claws after it threw me. " I WILL AVENGE MY BROTHER YOU GODDAMN MONSTER!" His cry was loud as he was flung back sliding next to Luna and he turns to look at her and me, her eiltes engage the beast to save us. " Sir Sky Breaker, Brother to Sir Storm Runner, Son to Gallant Blade, Knight commander of the Equestrian knights at your service your majesty." A huge boom and crash catches Sky's and Luna's attention as a huge figure larger then the ursa grabs hold of its head kneeing it in the face and breathing fire upon it catching the beast on fire. As it screams in pain from being on fire the other figure forms a ball of gray energy on the tip of its finger and it shoots a beam of energy at the ursa blasting it to pieces leaving nothing standing. With nothing but smoldering ash the figure opened it wings showing it was a dragon and with a might flap of its wing blew away the ash. The Dragon now turned its attention to us, it was a large gray dragon wearing a battle robe, one of his horns were broken off and one blind eye and a long gray beard. He moved towards us and bowed to the princess. " My lady are you alright?" he saw my unconscious body and my brother's missing arm. He walked over to my brother and set his claw on fire before Sky could move the dragon grabbed the bloody stump and burned the wound shut. Letting out a pained yell the scent of burn skin and blood filled his nose and he gave quick heavy pants. and then he walked over to the princess who was still holding me he took a knee and looked at the wound i had. Three large gashes in my chest i was still breathing, but barely. He looked at me then my brother." You two without hesitiation moved to protect the princess without a second thought, and for that i thank you." He looked at me" I can save him and you from death for it comes for you both but this is your choice if you take my offer you are to become my students, to listen to me, to do as i instruct and in time you will be stronger. If you don't sadly you two will not survive the night." Sky thought upon this but not very long, he promise to get all of us home and he intented to." We are your students from here on out my master." With a smile the old drake stabbed his hand, blood flowed out of the open cut on his hand and he placed it into my wound and his blooded flowed into my blood mixing and melding. He removed his hand from my wound and almost instantly the wounds closed up and i began to breath normally. with claws still flowing blood he moved over to sky and jammed his bloody claws into his stump and and pumped some of his blood into him. removing his claws from my brother a pain shot through his arm and and from the burn stump bone shot out from it the sound of flesh and blood remaking itself was gut retching but within moments a new arm appeared and the old burn flesh was gone. " My name is Greywing I am your new master my students and if you two make it through the night you will become more then you can ever imagine." "well at least you slept the change away." i turn to find the voice but the white light engulfs me again and i'm headed to my next memory. * Everfree Forest Rebel camp midnight* *Sky's POV* After a hour of walking we made it to the rebel camp with my brother being carried along with two other soldiers that were injured in the Ursa fight. They took Storm to a healing tent and the other soldier's as well. I wanted to to go in with him but a large earth pony in gold armor placed his hand on my shoulder and told me follow him. So i followed him still worried about my younger brother. Even though he was born first we felt i was the older brother because i was always there to protect him as a older brother. We arrive at the largest tent in the whole camp and he stops at the front of the tent saying " wait here a moment sir." He entered the tent a couple of moments later he emerged from the tent. "They are waiting for you sir, you may enter." He said saluting me holding the tent fold open. As i enter i see the tent is filled with commanders, scrolls, charts and maps. In the center was a table with four stallions and two mares standing around i saw instantly that it was Luna who had trailed off of the group who had enter the camp. and then i turned my head to see the beautiful mare next to her whose fur shined liked the sun and mane almost like a rainbow of the sun, unlike her sisters starlit mane her's was breath taking. Celestia stood from the table and walk towards me as i kneel bowing my head low.she stood over me smiling, i took a chance and stole a glance she was radiant the warm light she gave was perfect, but i dropped my eyes fast as i saw her looking into my eyes. "Rise sir knight i would wish to look upon the one who saved my sister and many others from the Ursa." she said with a angelic voice that filled my ears like a beautiful song. So i stood upon my hooves and looked upon her. Her smile was warming and soft, her eyes like diamonds in the sunlight, Her mane flowing and the curves of her body for being a Alicorn was breathtaking if i had the chance i would ravage her with my lust for her but i controlled myself and remembered my place. "On behalf of all of us i would like to thank you and reward you brave knight for your sacrifice to protect my sister princess Luna. Sir Sky i thank you." She cupped one of my cheeks and placed a kiss upon my lips. My mane stood on end, my eyes went wide and my face went tomato red against my white fur. Celestia ended the kiss and I stood there like a tree and a priceless face as everyone burst out laughing even Celestia. I suddenly heared yelling behind me and i turned to see only a fist strike my face hard and strong, i cup my nose yelling. " AHH! what was that for you Bucking jackass! no offence." i say to a donkey guard who only shrugged. I return my gaze to my attacker only to see my father standing over me with his one eye staring at me with anger. " So my son why don't you tell me why you forgotten what i taught you and your brother about making sure when you kill a monster make sure its dead?!" *Storms POV* *Healing tent* The feeling of fire on my skin was intense, i couldn't take it. i tried to cry out in pain but i couldn't, my skin felt like paper burning, my bones cracked and snap as if they were growing my back throbbed in pain as i tossed and turn trying to relive my pain but to no avail even my head felt like a hammer used by a earth pony bashing on my head like a nail. But some of the worst pain came from my cutie mark, the burning was concentrated there and that's were the worst was happening. but little did i know my brother at the same moment was going throught the same changes but i found out later that it was happening infront of everyone. with one final crack of my body for a brief moment my eye opens and turns from gray to red and i pass back out from exhaustion. * Next Morning* I stirred under the blankets with my hand sticking out but it looks different but i was to groggy to notice. i rose from the cot my mane a mess but i didn't care. But i smelled and heard the sounds of a river and the sound and scent was inviting, so i stood from the cot actually feeling beyond better i felt like a million bit! " Mmm thirsty." i said groggly as i started to walk, other injure ponies were in the tent but they were asleep. i walked out of the tent passing two guards at the tents i didn't notice but they dropped there spears, with jaws hanging low. " *yawns* mmm good morning." I wave to a group of soldiers's as i walked by, they said nothing but only stared in shock. throughout the whole camp i got the feeling i was being looked at with faces of surprise. It didn't matter because i had finally reached my goal the river with crystal blue water, clear as day. " Aahhh the princesses are good to me this day ahhh." I ram my head in the water shaking it about feeling the water drop from my mane and horns.........horns? i remember i only had one horn but i touched my head and low and behold i felt two other horns. my eyes went wide as i looked at the water. It settled and what i saw terrified me. I saw my eyes were a spiral of red and white, i had two extra horns that look like they are swords and my main horn matches them, my jaw was longer and i had fangs for ripping flesh. my mane as i ran my hand through it had spines sticking out of it and my fur was rough with a mixture of scales. i looked back to see a draconic tail with a fluffy tip and wings....wings that means i could fly. What has happened to me all i could do at the moment of shock is yell. "RRRRRRRROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!" I quickly cover my mouth realizing what i just yelled or in truth roared. I may be a knight but i was scared of what has happened to me, a rusling from the bushes i jumped to my feet ready to fight. i may not have my sword but i was not totally defenceless i had my magic and my training with CQC from my father. But to my surprise my brother was the one in the bushes but he looked like me but with the same look i had but his horns were curved and his eyes were red and black swirled together. I looked at him and he looked at me. "So Storm..." Sky started to say but i cut him off " WHAT THE BUCK HAPPENED TO US!!!!" i yelled with a voice of fury and fear. looking at sky wondering what he was going to say. " I believe we can give you the answers that you seek my student." We both look up and see the great gray dragon that saved us and on each side of him like angels the princesses float down from the tree tops and landing softly on the ground. The princesses wearing reagle attire with a mix of parts of their armor their wrists and legs covered with armor Celestia's armor was gold and with the sun at the center of her armor and Luna's armor was a onyx color with a crescent moon on her's. Both were beautiful but even when i bowed to them on my knees with my fists in the ground i couldn't take my eyes off of Princess Luna and her me. A cough came from the old Dragon and i snapped out of my zone and looked at him. He was wearing a type of cloth i've never seen before. the colors were of gems sworn into the cloth in a pattern of a golden dragon and when i looked him in the eyes i saw a large scar across his right eye and the eye was clouded showing he was blind. I looked into his good eye to see golden coloring but his pupli was red like fire the shined on the gold. "Now then i can see you are supriesed by your new looks and i can tell you now my young students there is nothing to worry about. you two have been given a great gift and a new outlook on life. you....." I cut him off with a slight twitch in my eye and without knowing my eye changed to a blood red as i looked at the dragon. " GREAT GIFT?! IM A MONSTER!! HOW IS THIS A GIFT!?" I stood chest to chest with the dragon, well chest to stomach as Graywing towered over me. He raises a eyebrow and places a hand on my head pats it and turns to walk a few steps. I curse at him and try to atttack but Sky grabs me and hold me back by my new tail. " Storm! calm down. if He didn't do what he did you be dead the Ursa that we fought ran you through with its claws!" I stop flayling my arms and the memories of that fight came back to me all i remember were the Ursa's eyes looking at me and it's claws in my chest. My blood ran cold as i looked down i couldn't believe it, for a few moments i was dead but this dragon saved my and my brothers life. I keeped my head down and fell to my knees with my head down low to the ground. " Forgive me my lord i was angry and fearful, when i should have been greatfull and glad that we are alive and stronger. I Strom Runner ask for your forgiveness master." I bow low as dose my brother who was next to me bowing all the same. We both hear a deep laugh from GrayWing and giggles from the Princesses when i see Luna giggling at me i turn beet red and i keep my head down. " Its alright young kinght. i know you are confused but here, rise my students, and i shall explain why your forms have changed and i will soon teach you how to control your new bodies and powers. Also......." He was cut off by the sounds of screams and weapons clashing together back at the rebel camp. "Quick we have to get back to camp NOW!!!" Celestia shouts as the five of us race back to the camp, upon arriving we find it to be a battleground. The eyes of the princesses were filled with horror and anger, their horns gave a quick glow and a sudden flash covered them and they were soon covered in their armor, holding weapons of war and they flew down to the field of battle. The same with Graywing who branished a large broadsword as he took to the sky and began engaging in areial combat with the enemy. The enemy were ponies and chaotic creatures the held the banner of discord. The motive was clear the mean to wipe us out but we were not going to die with out a fight. Doing the same as the princesses me and Sky magiclly conjured up our armor and helms. Our helmets worn our eyes turned white our faces covered and were charged on to the battlefield, the family blades drawn. we clashed into the first line of chaos warriors. Sky had cut down three warriors in the first moment of our attack and i brought down two. our swords clashed against the heavy blows from the crazed enemy. I looked into one of the enemies eyes and they were swirled with red and yellow the same color as discord. I moved passed the enemy with the new found power and speed with this new body of mine, i saw the same with my brother as he had brought down a Maticore with one stroke with dawn. I turn to see a chimera jump me pinning me to the ground. It goat head came down bit my arm same with the lion head and the snake bit my chest. but i felt no pain not even their teeth sinking into me i looked up to see there fangs were broken on my scales that hid under my fur. I smiled at them, I began to feel a warmth coming from my throat building up and when it reached my mouth i gave a roar and black fire shot out and fell upon the chimera. The chimera roared in pain as draw our my bowie knife that i got from the armory and ram it deep into the beast's heart. It gives a final gasp and goes limp. I toss it off of me as Sky runs to my side and a whole squad of enemies surrounds us. " ready to show these foals how to really fight little bro?" sky said's to me. "Hell yea big bro lets take them all on!" with that the warriors attacked us, but they didn't understand the power of our brotherhood that when we are together we are stronger then we are apart. Using magics our father taught us and with our new fire breaths we fended off our attackers. with our fire breaths we both took deep inhales and with a simultanius spin we unleashed our fire's and engulfed our enemies. A loud horn sounded off and the enemy began their retreat vanishing into the forest and leaving there fallen behind. A roar of victory came form everypony knowing we had won the battle and the day. I sit down panting still not use to my new body panting heavily as sky hugs my head. * Good work my brother." i fall on my back and look up to see Luna and my father. Standing over me i slowly rise and smiling at them. Graywing walked over to the four of us and smiled." you two have began to use and understand your powers i will teach you but we do not have long Kirin knights." We both looked at each other confused." Kirin knights my lord?" Sky asked. "Yes my students you have been given the titles of kirin for your powers and appereance, now you must prove you have earned your marks." He pointed to our cutie marks they have changed as well. the helmet now looks like a dragons helm, the shield jaget and the sword more curved like a scimatar. " We are your students and we will prove we have earned these marks." We stood back up and Princess Luna walked towards me even with her blood covered armor she was still beautiful. " We never hath the chance to tank thee brave knight for saving thee in thyne hour of need so i thank thee." She placed a kiss upon my cheeks and i fell over and was as stiff as a board. Everyone was laugh from my father and brother, to Graywing and Tia, Luna was worried as she looked at me. while i was on the ground smiling sitting on cloud nine. Author's Note wow now thats a lot of stuff to take in. next chapter coming soon everypony . leave coments on what you think //-------------------------------------------------------// chapter 1: the beginning //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue: The Battle Brothers for Life Prologue Battle of the Shadows The battle was long and bloody with nothing but horror and pain that filled the air and the scent of blood invaded my nose and for once in my life i felt blood sickened. Being in battles all my life for the protection of my home, my family and friends i was willing to step on the battlefield. Staring up at the sky as I lay on the ground assuming my senses will soon be restored, all I can focus on are the screams of my brothers and sisters in arms; the battle cries echoing across the battle field as they continue to defend their homes as well as their lives. I sit up in a daze seeing nothing but silhouettes of my warriors and the terrible enemy that they continued to beat back. I turn to my left to see two stallions back to back, one being a large stallion holding a huge mallet with a horse collar around his neck. The other, a unicorn with purple armor armed with a shield and sword blasting enemies with magic combat spells. Hearing a great and powerful roar, I turn quickly to my right. I see a large dragon using fire and old draconic spells while a smaller, wingless dragon combines magic and green flames. The sound of clashing steel and claws bellow from high above me with heavy eyes i look up to feel blood droplets fall onto my face as griffons,dragons hippogriffs and peguses fighting in bloody arieal combat with other dark griffons, dragons and with bug like ponies flying in formation attacking with fangs and venom . leading the battle in the sky i thought i was looking at two goddesses one of light and golden armor weilding a large halbert with grace and power. Next to her was another goddess with onyx armor and a slender rapier in her hand she struck with such speed i couldn't keep up with her. But the next sight i saw brought back old memories deep within my mind. i saw not one but two creatures in the sky that were a mix match of different animal parts and the energy around them was pure madness i knew what they were they were draconqueses chaos users. the one on my left with a grey head fur laughing at the other creature that had cotton candy smashed in its face. but when it ripped off the cotton candy off its face the creature was beyond angered its eyes filled with fire and rage as it literly shot daggers out its eyes at the other. But a snap of the fingers and a umbrella appered in the grey draconques hands and the daggers bounced off of it. With each passing second my sight was fading; compromised sight does not bode well for a warrior in the midst battle. For the first time since the battle began, I noticed the indescribable pain deep within my chest. Reaching up I could feel the warm, sticky blood that now covered my armor. Now, for the first time in a long time, I could feel the fear rising up in my chest; fear, not for myself, for my family, my friends and for my angel who i loved so much. Now, with my vision almost completely whited out, the bright light that has replaced this horrific battle scene takes shape. I can see a single Pegasi, clearly forming with each blink, making her way to me. The closer she comes the more distorted her image; with one final blink I focus on a monstrous abomination now before me i look upon the image and snort a huff of hot breath through my nose defiantly at the figure, its sword raised above its head preparing to strike me down with a single blow. It's sword falls upon me, and everything goes black. *BLACKOUT* " Were did we go wrong? How did this happen? Man this whole thing sucks, if only things could have been different maybe they would have turned out for the better." I walk around in a black room pacing back and forth trying to remember the past and why this horrible battle is being fought. My inner mind version of me walks through the dark room of my mind going deep into the past. I want to remembering the better times, the times when there was no fighting and no pain a time of love and hope. A time of harmony, but sadly those memories also hold sorrow and heartbreak. but another set of memories build up from my mind. They are the memories full of anger, of hatred, of wrath and death. why must the memories i do not want to remember are the ones that keep coming back up. Slowly the room grows darker closing around me this is telling me i'm slipping deeper and deeper in to the cold hands of death the pony of the after world comes for me and all her cold and hollow glory " Damn i can't die now, i have far too much still left to do. to many ponies to meet to, many friends to see and my love ones i"m not willing to leave behind and a promise. A promise i made telling her i would come back to her." My heart skips a beat" Her. I can't break my promise if i did i know her best friend would pummel me for breaking the promise to her" i give a small chuckle and as i do a white light fills the room, chasing the darkness away showing that death has been pushed aside by a unknown force, but i knew this force and i felt good and i see as my life flash before my eyes and when i reach the end of the memories i relies something. this is not the end, its the beginning, and i dive into the beginning of my life.
