Shy

Fluttershy paced through her cottage, murmuring something under her breath. The sun had begun to set on the horizon, and the shadows of night had fallen. Even so, Fluttershy was packing her bags full of items. A bowl, with some dried apples hung out of one of the pockets. Angel nudged her leg, but the mare took no notice. Heading out the back door, Fluttershy, looked at her pet bunny. "I'll be back soon. Don't open the door for anyone, ok?" Angel nodded, and Fluttershy smiled. Her animals always understood her, they were some of her true friends. Pushing her way out the door, Fluttershy raced off into the Everfree Forest, swatting away low- hanging limbs and vines. Finally, she came to rest at a small, clear pool in a clearing. Fluttershy sighed, and thought I have to do this. It's the only way. She closed her eyes, and stepped into the pool, disappearing under the water.

My name is Fluttershy

When I was a filly, others ridiculed me

I could never speak up

Never able to show who I truly was

The only ones who truly know me are the animals I care for

Not even my friends

Know my past

I'm tired of being seen as somepony who needs to be protected

A simple mare who can't speak up

Lost in my own imagination

Well no more

I am Fluttershy

Ponies will learn just how strong I am

And they won't judge me based off of my appearence

Or my quiet nature

Or my stutter

I am Fluttershy

I will speak up

All of Ponyville will hear

And the clouds will echo my cry

I am Fluttershy

The day will come where ponies will be scared to speak to me

My destiny will be more than just caring for animals

My friends will truly see who I am

I am Fluttershy

Ponies will tremble when they hear my name

The night will be my home

Where I can do what I please

Under the cover of the moon

I am Fluttershy

I will hide in the shadows

Watching, Waiting for my next victim

And nopony will be able to stop me

And I'm not shy
