Shadows of Lost Memories.
Prologue
The sounds of hoof-steps echoed in the dark hall, the moonlight shining down on the mare. She flinched, hiding behind a near-by wall as the hooves got closer, eventually speeding past her without noticing. The mare sighed relief as they past, letting her slip by and race down the hall. Just a little further, she thought to herself, I'm almost there...
"Over there!" A guard's voice echoed, making her panic. "Bring her to the Queen! Don't let her escape!"
The mare raced down the hall, faster and faster. Her eyes widened and her hooves skidded against the pavement as a swarm of Royal Guards jumped in in front of her. Looking to the window, she gulped and opened her large wings, leaping towards the window.
"Don't let her escape! She cannot leave with the kind of knowledge she has!" A loud, ear piercing screech echoed into the Twilight. She flapped her wings as hard as she could, but the sounds of wing beats drifted into her ears, making her look back. Swarms of dark figures soared towards her at top speed, an eerie purple glow leading the pack.
The Queen! She never comes out unless it's important! I have to go... I have to warn them... Everyone! Before she could go further, a magical blast shot her wing, making her spin out and fall right into a pool of water. Her vision faded, and everything turned dark.
