My family is only 2 alicorns so we do not all look old,in fact we look very young!I love my family and home but i have a secret...my father abuses me.When ever i do anything he does not approve of he either beats,bites,or throws me into a dungeon until i have figured out what i had done.I am not saying that i hate it but i have learned to get used to it.After all,i am his daughter and i should not be weak.Weak is those Crystal Ponies over at the Crystal Empire,they are weak.Just one day Soul Reaper,mother,father and i will overthrow the throne there and rule everything in Equestria and possibly turn the whole world evil!!I know i may not look evil but deep within my heart is the darkest energy anypony could ever imagine.Mother said i shall one day unleash it and destroy everything in my path!I cannot not keep still cause i can't wait to hear the screams of those stupid ponies begging for mercy.It will fill the darkness in my heart more and more until i let it out.I must leave now but i shall be back.Yours,Eclipsed." Eclipsed closed her book and put the quill down beside it.She has had that journal for years on end never letting anypony see it.She was wide awake now that she has had some sleep for a bit.It was about a quarter to 8:00 and she had to get out and stretch her wings like she always did.She hid her journal and looked around her grey-toned room.Her bed having black and green sheets perfectly tucked in and on her walls were pictures she drew of the moon or of the bat pony guards that protected the castle. Nightmare stood up and trotted to her bedroom door to leave but she heard somepony..or ponies chatting.Was it her father and mother?She pressed her ear to the door trying to listen in but could only make out bits and parts of the sentences."You need to.." "Shut up,i know.." "Leave her be...".Nightmare knew they were arguing about her and she backed away from the door and her ears dropped.She told her mother not to say anything about her.Then she heard a hideous SLAP and a deafening THUD as if somepony was just knocked out.She then saw shadows under the door dragging something.She quietly walked and opened the door an what she saw almost made her scream.Her mother,was limp as two bat guards were dragging her out of her fathers bedroom.Nightmare immediately closed the door and slid down it tears appearing in her eyes.How could her father hurt her mother?Nightmare covered her mouth and began to sob quietly.Hot tears streamed down her cheek as she tried to picture it all but the THUD and SLAP kept replaying in her head.She had to confront her father for brutally hurting her mother.She had to stand up to him somehow. *11 p.m* Nightmare was pacing in her room thinking of how to confront Sombra. If she did,he would beat her again but if she didnt her mother would suffer pain.She finally braved up and walked to the door.Suddenly the door bust open and there was Soul Reaper panting like he ran a marathon."Eclipsed Nightmare,you have to listen to me and listen good.You need to get out of here." Nightmare looked at Soul Reaper."What?How come?Where is mother,is she okai?" Soul Reaper pushed Nightmare into the room and locked then barricaded the door."I know you aren't going to like this but....." Soul Reaper took in a deep breath."Mother is dead...Father killed her by stabbing his horn through her heart." Nightmares blue eyes shrunk and she stumbled back."N..No,you are lying.Mother is not dead!She cannot be!" There was a BANG at the door and a males voice."Open this door now Nightmare!Or you will suffer the consequences!" Both Nightmare and Soul Reaper froze in fear.Just on the other side of the door was their father...They couldnt let him in.Not after he killed their mother.What would they do....? Chapter 2:The EclipseSoul Reaper and Nightmare froze in fear as their father pounded away at the door,breaking in each hit.Suddenly Soul Reaper turned to Nightmare and held her close to him."Nightmare,whatever happens to me promise me one thing.." Nightmare could feel tears rising in her eyes."S..Soul Reaper..." her voice trembled with fear."Promise me that if i die,you turn and run.Do not look back..just keep running until you cannot any longer okay?I want you to keep living on through many years to come." Nightmare held her brother close crying into his chest.She had lost her mother but she had to keep the promise to her brother."I...promise." Then the door bust down,and there stood King Sombra growling with rage."Leave her alone!!She had nothing to do with this!!" Soul Reaper yelled at his father and stood in front of his sister protecting her."Hehehe...hahahahah...AHAHAHAHA!My dear son,you pity me.Move out of the way now." Soul Reaper refused and charged his father. Nightmare watched in horror as her brother fought their father while getting stabbed in the leg,arm and flank.Soon,Soul had fell back in pain as his father stood over him,his horn glowing a blood red color."SOUL REAPER!!!" Nightmare just screamed as her father impaled Soul in the chest.Soul Reaper coughed up blood and looked at his sister slowly."G...Go nightmare...." he then fell limp as his eyes turned a deep grey and he died.Nightmare shook in horror as she stared at her now dead brother."S..Soul R-Reaper.." she said solemnly as she closed her eyes tight wishing everything was a dream.She could not move from where she was as her father got closer to her."Now Eclipsed,what do you have to say for yourself?No protector to help you now.Heheheheh!" Sombra then slapped his daughter hard making a loud sound echo through the castle."AGH!!" Nightmare fell back against a wall,blood dripping from her muzzle."Your just a waste of life.You have no meaning in life.I should just end you here and now for my sake." Sombra raised his hoof to strike her again but before he brought it down he noticed the sun and moon...coming togther."What is that?" once he faced Eclipsed she had a black aura surrounding her whole body.She had unleashed her full power."W-What?" Sombra now felt afraid as the moon was halfway in front of the sun."An Eclipse!?No,it cannot be!" Nightmare then stood as the blood on her muzzle cleared away and she lifted her head to reveal slit red eyes and markings on the sides of her cheeks."A waste of life am i?I do believe that you said i WILL be stronger than you did you not father?" Nightmare began walking towards Sombra slowly as she began laughing.It wasn't a funny 'Hahaha' laugh but an Insane person laugh.She had gone and lost control of her power and now she was a true nightmare now.Her cutie mark glowed along with her markings on her body with each step she got closer to Sombra."Eclipsed Nightmare,i command you to stop.You will suffer!" Nightmare did not obey,instead she raised her hoof and punched Sombra dead in the chest and he flew out into the hallway hitting a wall and coughing blood as he fell to the floor.The moon was now in front of the sun creating 'The Eclipse'.Nightmare stood by her window and smirked. Then black shadows came from the Eclipse and surrounded her.She could feel the power,the energy coursing through her veins.She loved it.Sombra opened his eyes and reclaimed his vision."Ugh..that little menace!" He stood up shakily as guards ran up to his side."Kill her!Now!!" Sombra ordered and the guards obeyed.They ran into Nightmares room and surrounded her 30 to 1."So,you all are ordered to kill me?How amusing it is.Well...come at me now." Nightmare turned toward the guards as two charged at her.She flipped over them easily grabbing her sword on her wall with her mouth and sliced the two guards necks open and they fell dead."Next?" Nightmare chuckled as 4 came at her this time with their swords poised to strike her heart.She smirked and dissipated into thin air.The guards were dazzled at how she could do that.After a brief search guards began to vanish one by one.Three on the left,then five,nine then none...Nightmare just laughed at the limp stallions."Father...come out come out wherever you are!!" Chapter 3:Escape from the castleNightmare searched for her father around the castle."That stupid stallion,hiding from his own daughter?And HE is the king?Hah,such a stupid thing!" Nightmare then felt herself stop suddenly and sway slightly.Her power was draining from her.She quickly galloped to a window and saw that the moon was moving away from the sun letting light surround Equestria."No!I cannot lose my power now!!" Then hoofsteps were heard behind her.She froze then turned to face her father."Well my daughter,now that you are weak once again it is my pleasure to kill you." He walked to her and raised his horn then stabbed Nightmare in the side deeply."AHHHHH!!" Nightmare screamed in pain as he pushed her into a wall stabbing deeper into her side."Now,your done!!"Sombra then gripped Nightmare's horn with his teeth and ripped it off forcely."A-A-HHHHH!!" Nightmare yelled and saw sombra with her horn in his mouth."Stupid mare,your so-AGH!!"Sombra fell to the side as bullets were being shot at him and Nightmare grabbed her cloak and put it on.Tears fell from her face as she noticed a team of ponies enter the castle and immediately go to Sombra. "Target Acquired!Time to end it!" yelled a stallion holding a combat knife in his hoof as he brought it to Sombra's neck and slit it letting blood drip to the floor.The squad of ponies cheered as the cyan stallion caught a glance of the mare."Hey,you!" Nightmare instantly got up and ran past the ponies."We got a galloper!" yelled a mare with yellow and orange hair.The cyan stallion pulled the mare yellow coat mare back."I got this,radio HQ and tell them the mission was a success!" With that,that stallion turned and followed the mare close behind."Hey,i will not hurt you!!" Nightmare never obeyed the order and kept running just like her brother said to."STOP!!" the stallion yelled as he saw the mare run into the Arctic Circle.Nightmare disappeared from his sight and kept running.She was beginning to breathe hard as the ice-cold air filled her lungs making her cough.She had to stop but she could not.Something was telling her not to stop,to keep going until she knew she was safe.Suddenly,she collapsed onto the snow coughing blood.The cold had gotten to her and now she couldn't push on.She lay there,cold and stiff in the Arctic..freezing.Suddenly,she moved her hoof and stood up once more."I-I promised my brother...t-to keep going." Nightmare shook but put it aside and started trotting through the ice cold snow.Some say it was about 2 or 4 feet of snow so she couldn't get far.She finally found a cave and trotted inside.Once inside she fell to her side and went under.She woke up later in the cave trying to remember what happened."T..That's right.They are all....dead." her voice broke as she struggled to say those words choking back tears.She was alone now,no pony to love,hold,or see.She was her own family."A-AH!!" her hind leg had been throbbing badly and she then remembered that Sombra had stabbed her through the leg."W...Why?Why father?" She looked outside as the blizzard roared on.She just hoped that...somepony would come and find her...just somepony. PrologueThe full moon glistened through Nightmare's bedroom window.She hadn't got sleep for about a week.Her bruises and cuts wouldn't let her soothe down and sleep.She had been beat by her father,King Sombra,for years.No matter what she did,nothing made him proud of her.Last week she had successfully brought some fear to the Crystal Empire but once she told her father he beat her.Her twin brother Soul Reaper was no help.All he would do is stand there and watch as his only sister got the hell beaten out of her.Nightmare then sat up in bed and stared at her hooves.If only she knew why her father abused her then she could fix it.She could have the father she always dreamed of having.She sighed and got out of bed then walked to her window to watch the moon.Looking at the moon always made her smile.She loved how it shone up in the night sky,glistening lovely.All of a sudden she heard her voice."Eclipsed Nightmare,come down please." That voice was none other than her mother,Queen Dark Shade.Nightmare quickly turned and ran down the spiral stairs.She couldn't wait to see her mother again,after all she was the only one who really cared for her."I'm here mother!I'm here!" Nightmare saw her mother sitting on the couch next to Soul Reaper."Eclipsed,your here.Im glad your okai." Nightmare galloped into her mothers arms and held her.She had missed her mothers hugs for a long time."Your gonna kill her Eclipsed." Soul Reaper joked and chuckled.Soul did love his sister but had always sided with his father.Dark Shade smiled warmly at her little filly and spoke soothingly,"My dearest,has he been abusing you again?" Nightmare hesitated then spoke with a shaking voice,"Y..Yes,he beat me again,but please mother do not say anything.I don't want you taking the hits for me any longer." Dark Shade stared at her bruised daughter,examining her wounds carefully.Suddenly Dark Shade's horn glowed with a dark-silver aura and she touched it to her daughters forehead.Nightmare glowed the same aura and her wounds started healing.Nightmare looked at her arms,legs and hooves seeing that there was not a bruise or cut to be seen."Now,go get some sleep.I know you have not been sleeping and that is bad for you.Go on,get to bed before he returns." Nightmare nodded and trotted up the spiral stairs.Once she got to the top she turned right and past a corridor filled with pictures of her mother,father and Soul Reaper.At the end of the hall was one picture she..she just could not comprehend even with all the thinking she does.It was a picture of her and her father,smiling.How could he have smiled then and not now?She stared at the picture for a good while then looked away quickly.She did not want to be seen awake by her father.She then trotted to her room at the end of a right corridor and walked inside.She got into bed and settled in now that her wounds were gone."Goodnight to you all..." she then drifted into a settling dream of her family. Chapter 4:Whisper in the dark... *Eclipsed's Nightmare...* "Ugh..my head..Huh?!W-Where am i?!" Eclipsed screamed as she finds herself shrouded in darkness.She stands up slowly and looks around the dark place.She had no idea if she was dead or just asleep but that did not matter.She had to find a way out of the darkness.She stood up and felt a slight pain in her wings.One of them was bandaged up with blood soaked in them."Great,now i can't fly out of here." Eclipsed groaned and began trotting through the darkness.A while after,she began hearing things.Things she could not explain."W-Where am i?It is like it-Huh!?" A crash was heard not to far away as were hoofsteps.Eclipsed now began to trot faster but it sounded like the hoofsteps were getting closer each time."Stop running away...." the voice called out.Eclipsed did not obey and began galloping away faster and faster until she hit the edge of a cliff.She looked down and saw a small stream.She didn't know how high she was but she couldn't be scared.Now the hoofsteps were closer than ever.Then,she saw the silhouette.A tall stallion with wings slightly bigger than hers yet she is,or was,an alicorn."Stop moving...you will fall." The stallions voice was calm and soothing and somehow...bewitching.Eclipsed stared at the stallion then shook her head.She then made a fatal mistake.She moved her hind leg back and slipped.Right then and there she fell into the stream at the bottom of the cliff."NO!!" The stallion reached for her hoof but was too late.She had slipped from his grip and fell hard into the stream with a SPLASH!! Eclipsed opened her eyes in horror as she tried to swim back to the surface.She couldn't move at all as she sunk to the bottom.She tried her best to keep her mouth closed but she couldn't breathe.She then opened her mouth and water rushed its way into her mouth,nose and lungs.She tried to call for help but all she heard was gargles of water.She then felt...calm.She didnt feel any pain anymore.She liked that feeling.Then somepony was calling her name."Eclipsed!!Eclipsed!!" She shut her eyes slowly and heard a splash and saw the stallion swimming to her.Then...she awakes from her dream."Ahhh!!" Eclipsed sits up quickly panting.It was all a dream.But,who was that stallion?She shook that from her mind and looked outside the cave.The blizzard had slowed and wasn't very bad.She had to escape from the Arctic Circle before that stallion found her.

PrologueThe full moon glistened through Nightmare's bedroom window.She hadn't got sleep for about a week.Her bruises and cuts wouldn't let her soothe down and sleep.She had been beat by her father,King Sombra,for years.No matter what she did,nothing made him proud of her.Last week she had successfully brought some fear to the Crystal Empire but once she told her father he beat her.Her twin brother Soul Reaper was no help.All he would do is stand there and watch as his only sister got the hell beaten out of her.Nightmare then sat up in bed and stared at her hooves.If only she knew why her father abused her then she could fix it.She could have the father she always dreamed of having.She sighed and got out of bed then walked to her window to watch the moon.Looking at the moon always made her smile.She loved how it shone up in the night sky,glistening lovely.All of a sudden she heard her voice."Eclipsed Nightmare,come down please." That voice was none other than her mother,Queen Dark Shade.Nightmare quickly turned and ran down the spiral stairs.She couldn't wait to see her mother again,after all she was the only one who really cared for her."I'm here mother!I'm here!" Nightmare saw her mother sitting on the couch next to Soul Reaper."Eclipsed,your here.Im glad your okai." Nightmare galloped into her mothers arms and held her.She had missed her mothers hugs for a long time."Your gonna kill her Eclipsed." Soul Reaper joked and chuckled.Soul did love his sister but had always sided with his father.Dark Shade smiled warmly at her little filly and spoke soothingly,"My dearest,has he been abusing you again?" Nightmare hesitated then spoke with a shaking voice,"Y..Yes,he beat me again,but please mother do not say anything.I don't want you taking the hits for me any longer." Dark Shade stared at her bruised daughter,examining her wounds carefully.Suddenly Dark Shade's horn glowed with a dark-silver aura and she touched it to her daughters forehead.Nightmare glowed the same aura and her wounds started healing.Nightmare looked at her arms,legs and hooves seeing that there was not a bruise or cut to be seen."Now,go get some sleep.I know you have not been sleeping and that is bad for you.Go on,get to bed before he returns." Nightmare nodded and trotted up the spiral stairs.Once she got to the top she turned right and past a corridor filled with pictures of her mother,father and Soul Reaper.At the end of the hall was one picture she..she just could not comprehend even with all the thinking she does.It was a picture of her and her father,smiling.How could he have smiled then and not now?She stared at the picture for a good while then looked away quickly.She did not want to be seen awake by her father.She then trotted to her room at the end of a right corridor and walked inside.She got into bed and settled in now that her wounds were gone."Goodnight to you all..." she then drifted into a settling dream of her family.
Chapter 4:Whisper in the dark... *Eclipsed's Nightmare...* "Ugh..my head..Huh?!W-Where am i?!" Eclipsed screamed as she finds herself shrouded in darkness.She stands up slowly and looks around the dark place.She had no idea if she was dead or just asleep but that did not matter.She had to find a way out of the darkness.She stood up and felt a slight pain in her wings.One of them was bandaged up with blood soaked in them."Great,now i can't fly out of here." Eclipsed groaned and began trotting through the darkness.A while after,she began hearing things.Things she could not explain."W-Where am i?It is like it-Huh!?" A crash was heard not to far away as were hoofsteps.Eclipsed now began to trot faster but it sounded like the hoofsteps were getting closer each time."Stop running away...." the voice called out.Eclipsed did not obey and began galloping away faster and faster until she hit the edge of a cliff.She looked down and saw a small stream.She didn't know how high she was but she couldn't be scared.Now the hoofsteps were closer than ever.Then,she saw the silhouette.A tall stallion with wings slightly bigger than hers yet she is,or was,an alicorn."Stop moving...you will fall." The stallions voice was calm and soothing and somehow...bewitching.Eclipsed stared at the stallion then shook her head.She then made a fatal mistake.She moved her hind leg back and slipped.Right then and there she fell into the stream at the bottom of the cliff."NO!!" The stallion reached for her hoof but was too late.She had slipped from his grip and fell hard into the stream with a SPLASH!! Eclipsed opened her eyes in horror as she tried to swim back to the surface.She couldn't move at all as she sunk to the bottom.She tried her best to keep her mouth closed but she couldn't breathe.She then opened her mouth and water rushed its way into her mouth,nose and lungs.She tried to call for help but all she heard was gargles of water.She then felt...calm.She didnt feel any pain anymore.She liked that feeling.Then somepony was calling her name."Eclipsed!!Eclipsed!!" She shut her eyes slowly and heard a splash and saw the stallion swimming to her.Then...she awakes from her dream."Ahhh!!" Eclipsed sits up quickly panting.It was all a dream.But,who was that stallion?She shook that from her mind and looked outside the cave.The blizzard had slowed and wasn't very bad.She had to escape from the Arctic Circle before that stallion found her.
