I was so psyched! My first foreign language concert! I get to do Shakira Spanish versions, Kagamine Lenka, and Hatsune Miku songs! It was going to be great! Unfortunately, Headphone Wub's mother, Princess Luna, wouldn't allow him to come with me. He said that his mother wasn't letting him go because he had to help decorate for the Grand Galloping Gala early the next morning. So that really sucked! Oh well, maybe he can find a way to go.
I was singing my last few lyrics of Kagamine Lenka's "Mr. Taxi", when I heard hoofsteps galloping from outside. I was thinking that maybe mom had lost her wallet in the Jeep, again, so I ignored it. Just as I came offstage, I heard a male voice shout, "Banga!". I'd recognize that voice anywhere, it was Headphone! He was waiting for me. I jumped into his hooves, and he held me so I wouldn't fall.
"I knew you'd come!" I exclaimed. I had to go back on stage soon, but I didn't care. The whole time the make-up artists did my mane and make-up, Headphone and I conversed. Until he brought up that he got accepted to go on tour. That wasn't fair! We've done duets, music videos, and albums together, but he gets accepted and not me along with him?! Not cool.
I didn't respond, besides, it was time for me to go back on stage for my Hatsune Miku number. As I trotted on stage, I couldn't help but think about how Headphone got accepted without me. The whole song, I was thinking about it. When I finished, I was relieved that I had one more number, I was so tired and overwhelmed. "Banga, come and get your mane redone, and your make-up," one of the make-up ponies called. I trotted into the room when I asked.
"Where is Headphone?". It took a minute until one finally responded.
"He had to go back to the castle, Princess Luna found out that he snuck out. That stallion!". I saw that my phone was sitting on the dresser. I picked it up with my magic and called him. When he answered, I asked him about the tour thing. He said that the only reason I couldn't go was because the pony that published our albums put "Heapdhone Wub ft. Banga". That left me befuddled.
"Wouldn't the other pony usually go with them?" I asked. Headphone didn't have the slightest idea why they couldn't and wouldn't let me go. "Okay, I have to go back out there, love you," I responded, no emotion in my voice. Before he had the chance to respond, I hung up. That was really sucky. Headphone's own marefriend couldn't go on tour with him because of the stupid label?! Wow, celebrity standards have really dropped in the past few years!
When I finally finished my concert, I was so eager to get back home! Not only because I had an essay due the next morning, but because I could check to see if I had my clothes set for the next concert this weekend. Now, I wouldn't be so eager to do a history assignment, but I'm really sucking in it so far, so I need to get this done!
After staying up until 12:30 a.m., to finish my assignment on the civil war, I was exhausted! As the essay printed out, I used my magic to put it in my saddlebag. I was so glad I took a shower before the concert, or my parents would be furious that I was taking a shower so late! As I climbed into bed, my phone vibrated. "For real?" I asked myself, using my magic to pick it up. It was Headphone. You still up? it read.
I responded back, About to fall asleep, can we text in the morning? I'm wiped.... He replied.
Okay, love you! :). I was happy to see that he was in a good mood. Especially about my reaction to his tour, glad to see that he was over it!
