It was raining, while Octavia was on the bus riding to the Jazz Cafe for her performance. She stared out the window looking bored.
"This takes so long." Octavia mumbled.
The bus stopped. Octavia grabbed her cello case and headed for the steps. She looked down, blocking herself from the rain until some pony bumped into her.
She looked up.
"My bad." said the pony.
The pony held out her hoof.
"Names Repunzel." said Repunzel.
Octavia stared at her. Repunzel had long hair that was yellow and it almost wrapped around her. (Or was just down the street but still long.)
Her cutie mark was a floating latern. Then Octavia finally answered.
"I'm Octavia." said Octavia.
Repunzel nodded.
"Nice name...I guess." said Repunzel.
Octavia thought she just made a friend.
I'll tell her about me... Octavia thought.
"Well I'm going to the Jazz Cafe to perform with my Cello. I think I'm going to do good." said Octavia, walking down the bus steps.
The bus took off and left them at the bus stop.
Repunzel smirked.
"I bet I could do that also, be the best pony at the Jazz Cafe." said Repunzel.
Octavia looked at Repunzel once more.
"Like your gonna to good." Octavia replied.
Repunzel's happy face turned into a frowny face. She turned to Octavia.
"What??" Repunzel asked??
Repunzel sat down next to the Bus stop pole.
"I said like YOUR gonna do GOOD." Octavia said once more.
"You think I can't do better??" asked Repunzel.
"No if you think you can, meet me at the Jazz Cafe tonight." said Octavia.
Octavia glared at her, then turned and walked off with her Cello case.
Repunzel signed.
"Darn I really don't know how to play Jazz or just a song." said Repunzel.
Repunzel walked around the block 4 times thinking what she should do. All though her hair kept getting stepped on.
"What am I going to do??" she sighed.
She looked up and saw it was night. She remembered what Octavia said and started walking to where the Jazz Cafe was.
She kept walking and saw something...Yellow but small. She picked it up and looked at it.
"A Saxophone..." she sighed.
"Wait...I could use this!! This would proove Octavia!!" she shouted. She looked for a case for the Saxophone and finally found it, in the bushes.
She grabbed it and put the Saxophone in there.
She started walking to the Jazz Cafe. As she was close to it she heard music and saw lights.
She listened to the music, then rolled her eyes.
"Octavia.." she mumbled.
She walked to the door and saw tables and the stage. Jazz was playing, but it wasn't Octavia playing it was somepony else.
"Phew." she sighed.
She walked to a door in the back that said PERFORMERS ONLY. She pulled the door open and saw Octavia with her Cello.
Octavia stopped playing as soon as she heard the door open.
"Great its Repunzel, the loser." said Octavia.
Repunzel rolled her eyes.
"Whatever." said Repunzel.
"So what do you play, loser??" asked Octavia.
"The Saxophone." said Repunzel.
Octavia was shocked. A girl who's a loser plays the Saxophone?? she thought.
"Okay..what song are you playing??" asked Octavia.
"Uhh...Winter Jazz up." said Repunzel, lying.
"Okay, I'm playing Smile, Smile, Smile." said Octavia, not telling a BIG BIG lie like Repunzel.
"Okay." said Repunzel sighing.
I'm totally gonna lose by Octavia. she thought.
"Well I'm up." said Octavia.
Repunzel wanted to be nice so she said,
"Good luck...Octavia."
Octavia nodded, then walked up the steps to the stage.
Repunzel looked. The Curtains opened. Octavia started playing Smile, Smile, Smile.

Octavia played the Cello really fast, her hair swinging left and right. Repunzel started to hear herself humming to Octavia's playing.
Octavia played and played until she was done. When she was done she walked to to Repunzel.
"Your turn!" Octavia said, with a smirk.
Repunzel looked at her.
"Whatever!" Repunzel said.
Repunzel walked up the stage feeling shy. She held the Saxophone up to her mouth and started playing Winter Jazz Up.

Repunzel started tapping her hooves to the song, and started humming.
Once she was done she walked up to Octavia.
"BEAT THAT." said Repunzel.
"I will, tomorrow." said Octavia.
"Alrighty." said Repunzel.
Octavia walked off the stage and left. Repunzel stood there smiling.
"I did so good." she whispered to herself.
She left just as the Jazz Cafe was closing. She got a ride home. (From the bus.) She walked into the Forest and into a hidden pile of leaves.
She walked to her Castle. She felt alone ever since her friend killed her mother, but her mother was evil. She threw her hair up the Castle and maked sure it was tight on the Castle.
When she knew it was, she climbed up her hair. "I'll have to wait for tommorow. Look's like I can play Saxophone!!" said Repunzel.
She put her Saxophone down and went to bed.
The next day Octavia got up early. She hoped Vinyl wasn't home, she was always complaining that Octavia went to the Jazz Cafe so much.
Octavia picked up her Cello case and left the house.
"I hope I get to battle Repunzel again." mumbled Octavia.
She waited by the bus stop. When the bus came she walked into the bus. She looked to see if Repunzel was on, but saw no sight of her.
"Darn.." she sighed.
The bus dropped Octavia off near Jazz Cafe. She got off the bus and opened the door to Jazz Cafe. She saw Repunzel behind the Curtain.
She quickly ran to the PERFORMERS ONLY door and walked in with her Cello case.
"Oh dang I didn't even think of what I was going to perform." said Octavia.
She thought and thought.
"AHA!! I'll perform Made Me Realize." said Octavia.
"And I'll peform Octavia's Experiment. It's ALL about YOU." said Repunzel walking up to Octavia.
"Oh great." signed Octavia.
"Your here." Octavia finished.
"Wait all about ME?" asked Octavia.
"Yup." Repunzel said, nodding.
Octavia smiled.
"What are you smiling about?" wondered Repunzel.
Octavia stopped smiling.
"I'm not smiling.." Octavia lied.
Repunzel smiled.
"I'm up." Repunzel smirked.
The Curtains opened and Octavia watched from back stage.

Repunzel was looking at her paper ontop of the Piano. She had to copy it to play this right. She tapped her feet once again, her eyes closed every time she knew which key to press.
Once she was done she went past Octavia without a word.
"Oh...so my turned." Octavia signed, hoping Repunzel will talk again.
Octavia walked up on stage with her Cello. Octavia took a deep breath, closed her eyes and waited for the beat to play. When the beat came on she started play Made Me Realize.

When Octavia was done, she walked up to Repunzel.
"You think you could do better tonight??" Octavia asked.
Repunzel looked at her.
"YOUR ON!" shouted Repunzel.
Octavia smiled. Finally she's talking!! Octavia thought. Octavia blinked and as soon as her eyes opened Repunzel was gone. Probably went home to practice Octavia thought.
Octavia left and waited for the bus. She looked up and rain started to come down. Once the bus came she went up the steps, wet and cold.
She looked for Repunzel but didn't see her. She then sat way at the back, all alone staring out the window, like the first day she met Repunzel.
When the bus dropped her off near her home it was almost late already. Octavia needed a break so she went into the house anyways, with her Cello.
She opened the door and looked around for Vinyl. Nope she's not here yet. Octavia went to her room, closed her door after her and watched tv until FULLY night time.
At Repunzel's she was playing some jazz to herself, in her room. She stared at her door making sure no pony will come in. She played and played until she got bored.
She left her room and down the stairs. She looked out her window seeing stars up the sky.
"Oh shoot its time for me to go to the Jazz Cafe." she mumbled.
Going there everyday to beat Octavia was going to be hard and tiring. She never got any sleep because she had to practice every day to stay on track.
She ran up to her room and grabbed her Saxophone and walked back to the downstairs window. She hooked her hair over the opened window and jumped down.
Once she was down she pulled her hair from the opened window and it came falling down, and landed on her. She threw it off of her and walked out threw the hidden leaves.
She walked out the forest and waited by the bus stop. The bus came and picked her up, dropped her off at the Jazz Cafe. She picked up her Saxophone and into the Jazz Cafe.
She walked into the PERFORMERS ONLY door. She pulled it the door opened and opened her Saxophone case. She sat down and started playing, not caring where Octavia is.
Octavia came up to Repunzel and asked her what song she's playing.
"I'm playing Wonderful Chill Out Music." replied Repunzel.
"Oh." Octavia said.
Repunzel picked up her Saxophone and headed to the stage. The Curtains opened, and then she started playing.

Repunzel played slowly. Her eyes closed, her hair swinging left right, tapping her hooves...
"Great looks like the crowd is loving her.'' Octavia mumbled.
When Repunzel was done, she gave Octavia the mean glare. Octavia glared back at her and went up stage with her Cello, closed her eyes and took a BIG BIG deep breath and started playing.

Once Octavia was done, she just left. Repunzel wondered why. Once again Repunzel left as soon as Jazz Cafe closed. This time Repunzel didn't wanna take the bus so she ran to the forest.
Threw the secret leaves, climb the Castle with your hair, go to your room and sleep until tomorrow. The next day Octavia didn't want to go to the Jazz Cafe.
She was to tired to, plus she didn't want to perform today. She thought of how famous she was going to be and how un-famous Repunzel was going to be.
Octavia was in her room, with Pizza. She knew if she went out her room Vinyl was going to bother her and she won't stop until SHE leaves for HERSELF.
Meanwhile at Repunzel's, Repunzel went to her Kitchen for food. Nothing there. Ever since her mother died she didn't have much food to eat, only the food that her pet Lizard found.
Repunzel threw her hair over the opened window and jumped down, took her hair from the opened window and walked out threw the secret leaves.
She caught the bus just in time to go to Jazz Cafe. Repunzel always kept her Saxophone in her hair for just incase if she forgets it. She took it out of her hair and set it next to her.
The bus dropped her off and she got out, and into Jazz Cafe. She went to PERFORMERS ONLY door and set her Saxophone down. She thought what she was going to play, and went up on stage.
She closed her eyes and started playing to the crowd.

Once she was done with that song, she thought what other song she should play, since Octavia wasn't there.
