//-------------------------------------------------------// The Birthening -by Sw4gP0nyMCBuck- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Tea roomening //-------------------------------------------------------// The Tea roomening Luna was walking through the large hallways of Canterlot Castle, she had never fully gotten used to Canterlot Castle. It always seemed to dwarf Luna’s size. She also wasn't too fond of how bright everything was, an investment in some decent blinds would do the castle wonders. At least in her mind. As she walked the towering halls there was what looked like great distress on her face “Oh, how am I going to explain this to Celestia?” she thought to herself, her teeth now chattering. She kept walking and thinking while walking down the hallway; getting closer to the door to the room her sister was in, the tea room “Maybe if I use pet names she will take the news a lot easier” she thought to herself at the door. She felt relatively small stood in front of the huge entrance. Hesitantly she knocked three times. “Come in, Luna” Luna heard her sister’s voice from the tea room and went in. She peeked round the door, Celestia was sitting at a glass table, in the middle of the tea room drinking her favorite, wait for it; tea. “How did you know it was me, Celly” she asked nervously. “Three knocks” Celestia smugly smiled. “The guards always use one” It was something Celestia had remembered even with her extended life time. Luna smiled sheepishly remembering the ‘Three Knock Code’ her and Celestia had made as young princess’. “Now, what is it you wanted, Luna?” she inquired. Luna cautiously stepped in to the room Celestia was currently, and most often found, residing in. The room was one of her favorites, it was one of the largest rooms in the castle. Celestia specifically chose it for her ‘Quiet Place’ due to the balcony and calm bright atmosphere it possessed. The room was a simple four wall structure and had nothing but a small kitchen set up to make tea, a table and chairs and the balcony. Everything was white, from the kettle to the walls it was all bleach white except for the odd gold trimmings that only a pony like Celestia could possibly find attractive at all. Even the guards found the room garish and odd. But as long as Celly liked it, it was staying. Luna could never understand how Celestia’s eyes could adjust to see anything in this room. Luna, however, stood out like a sore hoof with her dark appearance. with her being the princess of the night and all she often couldn't understand her sister’s ways when it comes to things like this. Luna stood close to where Celestia was sitting “Well...you see Celly, I uh” Luna was rather nervous of the whole situation. “What is it you have done, Lulu?” Celestia questioned. Luna perked up at the comment “How do you know I have done anything bad, Celly?!” Celestia smirked “You’re using pet names. You always use them when you have done something bad” She was once again reminiscing their childhood. “Ah...well” Luna had just remembered that “Well, it’s not something I did per say” Luna explained. “I assume this is something as Nightmare Moon” Luna nodded “It is sister and I know you don’t like talking about as much I do” Luna looked down “But it’s something I need to share with you” Celestia turned in her chair to face Luna, still levitating a cup of tea “Go on then, tell me” “I kinda, maybe, sorta, possibly, could have, caused the Changeling attack a while back…” she said looking down scraping her hoof on the ground, making circles. Celestia looked puzzled “Whatever do you mean dear sister? And what does Nightmare Moon have to do with this?” Luna started to bend and shake her legs in slight embarrassment and nervousness “When I was Nightmare Moon I might a moon pony and one thing lead to another and I...she, um Nightmare Moon gave birth to the first changeling...” Celestia dropped the tea cup and it smashed on the ground with the tea spilling everywhere “Mother of us…” she said while taking off the sunglasses which had just appeared over her eyes. “Um...sister, where did you get those from?” Luna said pointing to the sunglasses. Celestia then made them disappear “I just quickly conjured them out of thin air.” See told her sister “It felt appropriate for what you just told me”. “Look, Celly” Luna began “Are you going to take this seriously or not?” Celestia chuckled a little “I'm sorry. I just couldn't help it” she cleaned up the tea that had spilt on the ground with her magic “Now continue, Lulu” Luna wasn't sure how to tell the rest of the story. Her sister clearly thought she was joking, when in actual fact she was far from that. “Let me show you what I can remember from that time as Nightmare Moon” Luna told her sister “Now, fall asleep so I may show you” she commanded Celestia. The sun bearing princess pondered why her sister had ordered her to sleep, it was an odd command especially for the princess that should be awake during the day. Luna sighed, she often had to remind her sister of her ‘dream walking powers’ “It would be much easier for me to show you this in a dream Celestia. You should know that”. “Okay I’ll try and sleep” Celestia said trying to get comfy in her chair “Luna, read me a bedtime story.” She exclaimed chuckling to herself. She still didn't fully believe Luna’s silly remarks but played along anyway. Luna was not amused by her sister’s comment “I have a better idea, Celly” from nowhere she put on a bright crimson fez and pulled out a golden pendulum like object. “Where did you get those from?” Luna looked at the items and back at her older sister “Places.” she flatly stated. She then begun swinging the pendulum from side to side “Celestia look into my swingy thingy” she told her sister in a mystical voice. “Oh, Luna. You know these things don’t...don’t...work on meeeee~” Celestia said, her voice drowning out. The green and pink swirls was captivating, it took Celestia’s current train of thought and threw it out of the window. Luna smiled “Now fall alspeed, Celly, you are very tired” and like that, the sun princess fell into a deep sleep “It actually worked” Luna whispered to herself in a surprised tone. “Right, time to get to work” She closed her eyes and concentrated really hard.
