My Angel
The Past
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe wind blew my mane as the hospital ponies carried away my parents who just had heart attacks.
My heart was broken as I ran to the hospital.
Tears streamed down my face as I ran through the doors.
I ignored the nurses calling for me to come back and followed the nurses with my parents.
"Mom! Dad! I love you!" I yelped as I hugged them slightly.
"We *cough* do too...sweetie..." My mom whispered as they were taken in a room.
"I don't want you to die!" I sniffled, sitting next to my dad.
"I didn't even get my cutie mark yet!" I cried.
"We'll be able to see you from above and in your dreams." My father replied, coughing hard.
"I-I..." My head store at the floor.
"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you who your related to-your gonna be so happy!" My mother said, her sweet voice cracked.
"Who?" I asked, bouncing up and down.
My parents pointed to the doorway, and there stood an orange mare, smiling softly at me.
She had light purple eyes, that shimmered like stars, and a dark purple mane, dark as the night.
I dropped my mouth slightly, knowing who she was.
"Is this--?" I asked.
They nodded.
"Scootaloo? I've heard so much about you from Rainbow Dash!" I commented, hugging her and fluttering my small wings.
"Wow! She's got some mane! And look at those pointed ears! Man, I wish I was young again to remember the time I got my cutie mark! You'll be so happy when you find out your talent!" she said, holding me up.
I laughed and told her how much I love her.
She told me back how much I loved her also and how she would always be there for me, even house me if I needed somewhere to stay.
I knew deep down that if my parents died, I would at least still have Scootaloo.
"You better leave, they have to get some rest." A nurse said to me and Scootaloo.
I nodded and said goodbye to my parents sadly, praying for them softly.
I went home, sitting alone for a few hours, thinking, and that's when I heard a knock on my door.
I answered and there stood Scootaloo, tears falling down her face.
She held a picture of my parents and my heart sunk.
"They're--?"
She nodded, and I hit my fore head.
"I was too late!" I shouted, angry tears streaming down my face.
Scootaloo wrapped her wings around me, and I heard her say, "If it makes you feel any better, you can call me Scoots..."
I nodded and hugged her tighter.
Me and Scootaloo were at the funeral, sitting next to each other, and when I got called up to speak, I said, "I may only be a filly, but I can't express my love for my parents...they may be dead...but at least their in a better place now."
I got a lot of hoof-claps and sat down.
After the funeral was done, I told Scootaloo how she was my angel, giving me comfort like that.
She laughed a bit, messed up my mane, then went to see Rainbow Dash.
I smiled softly, then went to bed.
