All she felt was pain. But not just the physical pain, her heart was in pieces. The voice in her head was guiding her, it told her things, things she would never have ever even thought of doing. yet, she did them. The voice was very persuasive. It helped her to see the dark secrets. To know the truth of what all the ponies in equeatria thought about her. The voice promised it'd help protect her, to make her noticed, to help her achieve her goals. Well guess what. The voice lied.
It had been silent for a while now. The pain still rippling through her. Tears streamed down her cheeks. Her mane sat lifeless and grey against her head. Deep inside she could hear the voice laughing, taunting her. She knew she had done the wrong thing. She shouldn't have listened to the voice. Yet, she had. And she had to face her punishment. Her coat was growing darker, she realized. Soon she would look different. She would look like the voice chose. She had a feeling that her sister would be sad, to know that she had been lying to her. Oh well, you cant change time. At least, not easily. An idea suddenly popped into her mind. A weak smile pinched her lips, and her eyes began to look a tiny bit more hopeful. Her horn began to glow, dimly at first. Soon, it was glowing as bright as the sun. A small mound began to form out of the light from her horn.
She Squeezed her eyes and exerted more magical energy into the small bundle. It began to form a small filly. Little light particles floated over near the fillies back an formed little wings. Her coat was becoming a light minty color. Her mane, which was now folding over her eye, was sky blue with turquoise stripes in it. Eventually, the light blinked out from her horn, and the small filly stood standing in front of her. She smiled and murmured to the child. "I give you wisdom, so you can know what is right, and choose the right path." The filly seemed to glow with new smarts. "I give you love, to care for your subjects in their time of need." The filly seemed to have a sting of pain, then felt relief of gentle kindness. "I give you the moons strength. Use it to remember me, and to know your destiny. It will be hard, but I know you will finish your tasks." The filly appeared to shine like moonlight. "And finally, I give you my spirit. Use it to fufill your duties, when the time comes."
A moment of silence passes before a new, shakey voice called out. "I will." Suddenly, the older mare yowled in pain. Her coat became a dark color, and her mane glowed blue. Her eyes reflected the pain and regret, that swirled around in her like a storm. yet, somehow her horn shone a bright blue and she was able to whisper a quick goodybye, as the filly vanished from in front of her. She gave a shriek of pain as her pelt grew darker. "Goodbye my sister, forgive me for what I have done Celestia."
"And we welcome you as a member of the cutie mark crusaders!" Excited squeals rang through the clubhouse, as a filly felt confetti raining from over her head. A cloak fell over her back as three other fillies crowded around her. "Welcome to the club Cherrycloud!" Sweetie Belle squeaked excitedly! Cherry was still a bit confused at the overly long synonym list for friend, but she was also happy. She was finally a cutie mark crusader!
"Lets celebrate!" Scootaloo cheered! At the same moment a pink flash came from the window.
"Did somepony say party!?" The pink earth pony shouted, raising her hooves in the air.
"Uhh, I actually said celebrate." Scootaloo said, cocking her head at the party pony.
"Party? Celebrate? Whatever! They're close enough!" Pinkie grinned, "And I love parties!" She reached behind her flank, and pulled out a cannon. It was a shiny blue, with pink wheels with a flowery design. Cherry narrowed her eyes at the strange device, before she heard a loud blast. A flash of light boomed out of the cannon, blinding Cherrycloud for a moment. When she was done rubbing her eyes to clear the light, she found herself in a different room. Colorful balloons floated about, and streamers littered the floor. Cherry looked to her side to see pinkie pie bouncing toward her with a cupcake in her hoof.
"B-But-" Her confused yelps were shut off when a cupcake was inserted into her mouth. "Fchimpy!?" Cherrycloud complained, causing cumcake crumbs to fall among the streamers. Pinkie gave her a poke in the cheek.
"Don't speak with your mouth full!" She scolded, "Or else you'll choke and be a total party pooper!" Pinkie huffed and crossed her arms, "and nopony likes a party pooper." Cherrycloud was at a loss for words. She had only met this pony about a week ago when she and her dad moved to ponyville. So far she was confused about the pony, and at some times, a bit scared at the thought of her throwing a surprise party for her. She hated surprises, and had nearly passed out at her welcome to ponyville surprise party.
Soon, she managed to force the cupcake down her throat. "How did we get here Pinkie?" I asked, finally realizing that the other crusaders were here next to me.
Pinkie shrugged, "I have no idea what you're talking about." I felt a hoof on my shoulder and turned to see applebloom.
"Jus' don't question it." She whispered, then leaned back once seeing my nod. I turned back to pinkie.
"So... Is this a party now?" I asked.
"Not yet!" Pinkie said with a grin. "Just wait until 3.. 2.. 1"
BOOM
Confetti surged in front of Cherryclouds face, while a yellow mushy substance fell down upon her. Cherry stared in horror at the way it all piled up on her coat.
"Oops!" Squealed pinkie pie, "Looks like I put the confetti in the oven and the cake in the confetti launcher, again!" Cherrycloud could feel herself getting angry, but felt the flame being tamped out by a feeling.
joy
She could feel a laugh bubbling up inside her. She soon had no other choice then to let it out. She fell to the floor, and rolled around laughing. She soon heard the others joining her. Cherry sat up. She wiped a happy tear from her cheek, and observed the mess. Somehow, she found the door behind the cake batter. Maybe only because it was opening. A lavender alicorn burst in.
"Pinkie pie! Come quick! Emergency in Canterlot, we need all the elements!" A few seconds later the fillies were left alone, each with a confused gaze. Finally scootaloo broke the silence.
"Hey! I bet I can eat more cake batter than you, Applebloom!"
Author's Note
Hey! First chapter, lemme know what you think, and if I should continue this or not. I'd also like an editor, if anybody's interested.
Brrrriing
Little fillies and colts rushed into the classroom. They each took their seats and placed their saddle-bags under the desks. A pale magenta mare stood at the front of the desk.
"Good morning class!" She said happily, "I hope you enjoyed your weekends." Murmurs of "yes" and "yeah" rippled through the class. Cheerilee the tapped the desk with her hoof to get everyone's attention. "Well that's great, because we've got a busy week." She then turned around and began writing on the board.

"Now," The mare began, "Time for the warm up. Here's the question for today: What is the most popular city in Equestria, besides Canterlot." The room was silent for a bit, while the fillies and colts thought, then several hoofs went into the air. Cheerilee scanned the crowd, before picking a hoof out. "Snips," She called out.
The teal colt threw a smirk and the orange unicorn sitting next to him, and replied to Cherrilee. "I think its Manehatten."
"Im sorry Snips, that is one of the more popular places, but not the one I'm looking for." More hooves shot up into the air, and cherrilee chose again. "Cherrycloud."
The pale grey Pegasus smiled, "Is it los Pegasus?" Cheerilee nodded.
"That is correct!"
The day dragged on.. and on.. and on. Finally, Cherrycloud found herself back in her seat, with a full belly from lunch. "Now class, we were planning on having Twilight Sparkle to come and teach you the basics of unicorn magic, but it seems an emergency in canterlot has happened, and she was unable to attend. So today I will try my best to teach you the basics." Cherrycloud pricked her ears at the mention of Twilight. She hadn't seen the librarian since the Friday at sugarcube corner. So that meant that there really was an emergency. Cherrycloud lazily glanced out the window.
Her gaze flicked toward a mountain, or more likely the city hanging off the side. Canterlot shone a gleaming silver in celestias light. The royal castle stood strong and proud. There didn't seem to be any emergency happening. Cherrycloud sighed, she obviously wasn't going to get anything from just looking at it. Reluctantly, Cherry turned back to Cheerilee and listened to what she was saying.
"All ponies have their own magic. Earth ponies have a magical connection to the Earth. That allows them to be more succeful at growing complex things. They also have improved strength. Pegasi use their own magic to fly, and walk on clouds. They are also lighter, and weaker. However, unicorns have the unique ability to bend, and control their magic, channeling it through their horns."
Cheerilee continued by drawing a crude unicorn. She then circled the horn, chest, and brain. "Magic all starts in the brain. You have to focus, and let all outside distractions disappear. Now, I've been told that once you learn basic magic, those spells become easy and you don't have to focus all of this. So, next step uses the heart. The heart is what gives the magic its strength. It uses the built up love and care to power up the magic. Then, unicorns have to use their horns. The horn is what the magic flows out of. They just have to have some sort of picture of what they need to do. Or mentally telling what they want to do. Now..."
Cherryclouds gaze drifted steadily back to the window. She let out a bored sigh, and locked her eyes on Canterlot, wondering what was it that the elements of harmony themselfes needed to do there. She drooped her eyes. Suddenly, Cherry saw a flash of light. She snapped to attention, and watched the rainbow streak flying toward ponyville. Cherrycloud could see the Pegasus hovering over the everfree forest, and after a moment of looking around, she landed. Cherry narrowed her eyes, what was rainbow dash doing here? Or in the everfree forest?!
Cherrycloud raced out of the schoolhouse. She was one of the first ones out. Cherry had her gaze resting on the everfree forest, though she was trotting toward the direction of sweet apple acres. She soon found herself trotting up a teal ramp, into a clubhouse. She entered to see Applebloom and Sweetie belle inside playing hoof games.
"Oh, Cherry's here!" Said Sweetie belle, with an excited grin on her face.
"Now we jus' gotta wait fo' Scoot." Applebloom snorted, "again."
A few games later, an orange Pegasus burst through the door. "S-Sorry Im late again guys," She panted, "Mom wanted me to finish up my chores before I came here." Applebloom rolled her eyes.
"Well, now 'dat we're all 'ere. Does anypony have any exciten' news?"
"Oh, I do," Said Cherry uncertainly, "Y'know the emergency in canterlot?" All of the three fillies nodded. "Well during school, I saw rainbow dash fly into the everfree forest!"
"What!?" Squeaked Sweetie belle, "But she's supposed to be in canterlot!"
Scootaloo shrugged, "She's probably back there by now anyways." Applebloom nodded in agreement.
"Though, we could get our cutie marks in," Applebloom began with a smirk.
"CUTIE MARK CRUSADER MYSTERY SOLVERS!" They shouted in unison. And if you were to look outside, you could see a crimson stallion face-hoofing.
