This is the sad,happy,romantic, and even comedic story, of the harshest and warmest winter..That Ponyville had ever seen.
The onslaught of blistering winds, grinding against the purple coated buck was…unpleasant...to say the least.
This buck, in question, was...well...HAD felt more prepared this morning when he left his flat at the late crack of dawn, now he just felt like a shivering, and well dressed idiot.
As much fondness he had for his red scarf and black waistlet, he had come to the conclusion that, warmth of his self out weighed sense of fashion.Much to his despair
“D-D-Dear Sweet Luna, how d-do these p-ponies do it!?!” complained the shivering buck, a slight manehattan accent still present in his light, gentle tone.3
Still being harassed by the below freezing winds, he sought refuge in a nearby cafe of sorts, with...well, what looked like..a Giant cupcake? on its roof...or was it the roof? “Oh bother. its at least warm.”
An assault of warm and painfully sugary air hit the unprepared buck, right in the muzzle.His eyes widened, his sense peaked and...he felt like he now had two new cavities.
“U-uh-umm.” Shaking his head to loosen the hold of the second-hand sugar high, he spoke with a slightly shivering and shaking manner. “E-Excuse me miss, I-i'm new in-” the sound of a extremely large gasp was all the warning the young buck was given. He never knew what hit him.
A pink blur and an amazingly fast , and oddly sweet voice had just materialized before him. Dear Celestia, protect him.
“OHMYGOSH!Hi,my names Pinkie Pie,you must be new here,cause i know everypony in ponyville, and I mean EVERYPONY.” blurted out a bouncing pink mare, whose entire being radiated happiness and laughter...it was making our “protagonist” sick, but he kept his gentecoltly demeanor.
The colt steeled his gaze on the smiling mare, and cleared his throat, “ I am indeed new in town, Miss.Pie, was it? he asked in a very calm and refined manner, but not as uptight as a Canterlot Native.
The pink pony seemingly flashed in and out of existence in an instant, going from wearing nothing, nothing out of the ordinary about that, most ponies don't wear clothes half the time anyway, to wearing a lovely frock, and a deep pink frilly dress.”May I inquire the name of this delightful gentelcolt?” her assumedly “normal” tone and voice gone, replaced by a stunning canterlot or manehatten accent. Our buck looked stunned and dumbfounded.
“W-why my name is Octave Harmony, as I said, I'm new to the town, recently moved from Manehatten.” The newly named colt explained, haphazardly.
Again, in an unexplainable flash of pony limbs and pink flashes, the pink mare is back to her bouncing jiggling self. “Well, Hi Octi-Wocti, since you're new in town, I'm gonna throw the biggest most bestest welcome Octave to Ponyville Party EVER!” The pink mare nearly shouted with glee not more than a few inches away from the poor colts face.
Octave, as he stated not to long ago, leaned his head back a bit, to return some of his lost personal space. and...paused.
He processed the onslaught of information he just endured, Paused...then spoke. “ Well, Miss.Pie, I’d ask you politely to use my proper name, and not to discourage you, but I'm not the best at casual social events.”
“But EVERYPONY will be there, and you’ll make sooo many new friends!
And that, is when the poor, and socially inept colt’s quiet life...was throw out the window and onto the cold hard pavement.
