It passes, Giving away like the sun lowers for the moon. The sun and moon fade each day and night that gives way to day. Those who control the celestial bodies must also fade. Here is where our story begins. Twilight never became Celestia’s student, never left her family. She never became friends with Pinkie pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy. The six never met. The elements of harmony were left a secret that was hidden away. Luna never Became Nightmare Moon, having had her sister there to support her through her troubles. Discord is still trapped in stone. Sombra had been defeated long ago. Chrysalis never appeared. There will be no ancient evil, but instead, a troubled world in need of guidance. There are so many questions. Like, ‘If the mane six never became friends, Who will defend Equestria?’ and many others. But i assure you, dear friends, All those question you want to ask will be answered. Now on to the story. ………… Princess Luna looks to her sister, the goddess of the sun, Celestia. “Our time is at an end, dear sister.” Celestia sighs. “What shall we do? The sun nor moon cannot raise themselves.” Luna speaks softly. “The only thing we can do, Lulu.” Celestia looks at the dulling moon. Luna stands up shakily and calls for a guard. The guard trots into the room and bows to the Princesses. “There is a special book. In my chambers. Get it and bring it back.” The Solar goddess demands. “I’m scared, Tia. What would happen if we fail?” Luna shivers at the thought. Celestia sighs. “I am afraid as well, Lulu. We all are.” The stallion nods and hurries to retrieve the said book. The guard  returns and gives the book to the waiting princesses. Celestia sighs and both look out the window to watch the moon lower before Luna had to help it pass the horizon. Luna’s horn glowed as she did her job and lowered the moon for the last time. Celestia raised the sun and faced her younger sister. “Are you ready, Lulu?” Celestia asked softly. The Lunar Princess simply nodded. Celestia is the first to take and open the book and reads a complex spell, one that would split the user’s magic and allow it to find a new host, or multiple host depending on the amount of magic the user has. But the cost was greater then most would be able to stomach. The user will die after the spell is completed. it was used as a last resort so a power would not be lost. Celestia collapses from exhaustion. Luna does the same. Hours pass with no sound from the throne room. One of the guards decides to check on the princesses. He opens one of the grand doors. The sight he was greeted by made him panic. “Are they asleep? No. They would never sleep in the throne room.” He argues. The princesses are locked in an embrace. Their usually flowing, shining manes are now dull and still. Their coats also lost their luster. The guard rushed away, calling out in panic. The only answer to the princesses stillness is that they died. ……… At the same time, seven fouls were born, each holding powers beyond imagination. One born into the onyx family had a midnight color scheme. Her mane as black as night, coat a deep blue. Her eyes a soft blue. The horn and wings told the parents their child is an alicorn. Another born into the blaze family, A albino filly with bright red eyes, Also an alicorn. The filly’s parents are astounded by the small horn and wings. A filly who was left on the streets of manehatten had a sunflower yellow coat, orange mane and a pair of goggles that she holds close to her body. She also has the wings and horn of an alicorn. A alicorn filly with a bright white coat and red strips. Her mane striped like a candy cane. She slept peacefully in her mother’s arms. The fifth was a sky blue alicorn filly that looked like she had been dipped in snow. she has dark blue eyes. An inventor somewhere pieced together a doll. A mare that would have no soul nor real emotion. the automaton was plain black and white. This contraption would be his greatest work. Her mane short and in a crown updo, the sides framing her face and her tail is long and curly. A light grey unicorn foal sat in the rain, bawling, as he sat alone in a basket of which his endangered parents  left him in. He had sapphire blue eyes, and an emerald green mane that shimmered in the rain. These seven will play a big part in reuniting the broken kingdom and saving it’s people. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter one: Awakening and Truth //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter one: Awakening and Truth FrostTheDragoness: Alright! I own Monochrome. Enjoy this piece and DON’T YOU DARE FLAME IT! Monochrome © FrostTheDragoness/sweetwightcat Storm Trinket © JeromeSaur MLP © Lauren Faust/Hasbro The inventor mumbles excitedly, rubbing his hooves together. “I have done it! She is complete!” He shouts. The black and white automaton’s grey eyes open and she sat up. wires being disconnected at the same time. “How may I serve you, father?” Her voice monotonous and lacked emotion. “yes. It’s perfect. Now, I need you to go to a bank and ‘borrow’ 2,000 bits.” He instructs. At this, the automaton shows the one thing the inventor overlooked, confusion. The current program is booting up and causing the spark of reasoning. “Would it not be easier to be made or asked for?” The automaton asked. The inventor frowns. “They won’t give it up if you ask kindly. You must take it from them.” Monochrome shocks her creator once more by furrowing her brows. "Would that not be wrong?" He overlooked too much. She has a personality for everything. Even a 'mother' personality. He had missed what the auto program was set to before her awakening. Because of her current personality, she had gained a sense of right and wrong, the spark had become a fire so soon after she awoke. "I should have never installed those personalities." He sneers to himself. "It is perfectly okay to 'Borrow' bits from the banks. that's why they exist." “I cannot do that, father. It would be taking from others that might need it.” “We need those bits, you worthless automaton!” Monochrome narrows her eyes. “I am not the creation or servant you wish for nor can I carry out these orders.” Monochrome stated. “I must leave for i do not belong here.” The automaton stands from the gurney, turns and trots out of the cramped building and to the city, not caring for the damage done to the building. Monochrome easily ignoring the stares of the bystanders. The black and white mare stops at the sound of crying. “No child should be left alone.” She utters almost emotionlessly. Monochrome followed the sound. Almost an hour of endless walking, Monochrome spotted a small basket. “The nerve of these simple minded beings.” Monochrome approached the basket. The sight she was greeted with would have shocked and even angered any other pony. A small foal lay in the basket, crying. Monochrome stretched a wing to keep the rain off the foal. “There, there. Do not cry, child.” The small foal stared up at  her with curious eyes, the tears drying off of his face. Monochrome smiled and picked the foal up’ Keeping him near her chest. “You are safe, Storm Trinket. Tears hold no purpose, little one.” Monochrome spoke softly, though still emotionlessly. “It is us, against the cold world. I will care for you.” *Several years later* Monochrome kept her promise to care for the little foal from that rainy night. Monochrome is already preparing Storm Trinket’s breakfast. “Storm! Come down and get ready for breakfast.” Monochrome places a lone plate on the small table. She didn't need food to run, just oil. She held a cup of the needed substance Storm rushes down the stairs excitedly. “Thanks, mom,” he said smiling and sitting down. “I hope you will enjoy the meal.” She put some eggs, hay bacon and pancakes on Storm’s plate. She trots to her own seat. She waved a hoof, telling him to eat. Storm happily eats his meal, enjoying every bite of it.  Mono’s head snaps up, her internal sensors going off. “Get down.” She whispered, Getting low to the floor. Storm quickly puts his fork down and got low. From outside came the sound of marching hooves. The country had been put under martial law since the deaths of the princesses. Monochrome listened and waited for the hoof steps to fade in the distance. But the sound stops right in front of their door. “Storm. Come here.” Mono said softly. Storm silently crawled towards her. Monochrome pulled storm close to her. At the same time the door is kicked down and several guards walk in. Monochrome’s ‘mother’ personality kicks in and she appears like any normal pony. “Why are you here? We have done nothing to break the laws.” She snaps. “You are being evicted to make room for the guard. You will not ask questions.” A guard snaps back. “W-what’s going on?” Storm asks, hugging his mother’s leg, while shivering. The guard glared at storm. “What were you told!?” Monochrome stands up and ushers Storm behind her. “You will not speak to my son like that or you will feel my wrath.” Monochrome’s defensive programming starts up. The guard charges at her and she meets the charge. “Storm! Go To your room! Don’t let anyone enter unless it is me.” Storm nods his head quickly and runs upstairs. One of the guards tries to follow, only to be tackled by the automaton. another guard stabs at Monochrome with a javelin. Monochrome manages to avoid most of the jabs but one. The guard’s javelin caught her in the chest, hitting a vital set of gears. She gaps for a moment, Waiting for the gears to start turning again. After three agonizingly slow minutes, the gears begin to turn again. Monochrome uses her wings to grab the javelin and pull it from her chest. Oil leaked from the hole. Monochrome plucks a feather from her wing, willing it to the shape of a pole arm. She swung at one of the guards, the one that stabbed her, grazing his side. “Leave my home. And my family.” Monochrome stands on her hind hooves. The guards scurry out. Monochrome’s pole-arm changes back to a feather and she places it back in her wing. She trots up the stairs to Storm’s room. “Storm, It is safe to come out.” Monochrome sits down, not noticing the oil leak. Storm peeks from underneath his bed. Monochrome sang, Her voice soft and beautiful, Knowing that only Storm knew the lullaby. Storm loved to hear the lullaby. It was soothing and always calmed him down a lot during scary or rough times. Although her voice was monotone, when she sang it was beautiful. Monochrome opened the door and stepped into the room. Storm’s room was rather plain. A few pictures adorn the faded walls, most being Storm Trinket and herself. Storm looks out from under his bed. Seeing Monochrome, he rushes to the black and white automaton and hugs her. “It’s alright.” Monochrome says. "They are gone." "I was so scared." Storm Trinket says, almost silent. "I know. There is no shame in being afraid." Monochrome replies. Storm Trinket looked up at his mother figure. Monochrome smiles at him. "Life will get better." Monochrome murmurs. "And nopony will take that little bit of happiness you have. I promise." Storm Trinket smiles at Monochrome. "Go finish your breakfast. I will join you in a moment." Monochrome tells her son. "Okay mom!" Storm runs out of his room and disappears down the stairs.
