Keep Out of the Everfree Forest

The two ponies left the train and looked around their new surroundings. Emerald had never seen Ponyville before and the town had changed quite a bit since Sapphire had last been.
“So where are you staying?” asked Emerald.
“Oh, I’m rooming with Pinkie Pie at Sugarcube Corner until I find a place of my own,” answered Sapphire.
“Won’t that be a bit crowded?” asked Emerald.
“Maybe, but I don’t have anywhere else to go,” muttered Sapphire.
Emerald thought for a moment. The fire chief had given her a two-bedroom apartment behind the fire station to ensure her place at the department.
“You know what?” Emerald said. “You do have somewhere to go! You are going to come live with me!”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” asked Sapphire. “We’ve only known each other for an hour!”
“Yes, Sapphire, I am sure,” replied Emerald. “There are two bedrooms and I only take up one.”
“I don’t know, Emerald,” muttered Sapphire.
Emerald turned to her new friend.
“Some company would be nice.”
