Michael sat at his desk, looking through some notes and reading yesterday's Manehatten Times newspaper, checking for faults. Then his boss called him over the Intercom, asking if Michael could come to his office. He answered with "Yes sir" and went for his boss' office. Michael was a bit excited, he hoped that he would get a task that would make him promoted. He had worked at Manehatten Times for 3 years, and still had the basic journalist job.
Michael knocked at the door, and the boss told him to come in. He walked in and sat down in the chair in front of his boss' desk.
"Hey boss. What can I do for you?" he already began to sweat, he knew that the boss were string, and he could easily fire anyone.
"-I got a task for you. A very very important one." the boss always used a very serious tone. He continued. "I need you to do an interview with the princess of the night herself, Princess Luna. She's the first pony to get a driver's license, and I want you to interview her and ash her questions about why everypony should buy an automobile".
Michael had excitment in his eyes, but he tried to hold it in, the boss didn't like high voices that much.
"-Ok sir. I'll do that." Michael managed to keep his excitment down.
"-Luna will be showing up right down in the street, you just ride along and interview her whereever she want to go".
"-ok sir. "said Michael and walked out.
Michael walked out in the street, taking a good look around to see if he could spot any car that might belong to Princess Luna. While waiting, he looked at the parked cars in the street. A lot of ponies had gotten a car already, and cars had only been in Equestria for like 2 months. Cars proved to be very useful for earth and unicorn ponies, since they could not travel so fast. Pegasus ponies still relied on their wings as fastest way to travel. Michael was wondering, why would Princess Luna want a driver's license? she got wings. Why can't she just use them? these questions would soon get an answer. As Michael were thinking, he suddently heard car tires scream, along with a crash. Around the corner, came a dark blue Chevrolet Camaro, with a custom license plate reading "Nightrider".
The Camaro pulled up right next to Michael, and the passenger window went down. Inside, sat Princess Luna with a happy face. "-are you the journalist who wanted an interview with me?" Michael began to blush a bit. He had never met any royal pony before, and he kinda had a little crush on Luna.
"-Yeah that's me." said Michael. he entered the car, and put his seatbelt on. Michael really liked the car, he had seen it on a commerical poster and the Chevrolet Camaro had won his favorite car title already. "-So, you can begin your interview at anytime. But do you mind me of I drive around while you do?" Luna kept a smile on her face. Michael started to blush even more. He nodded.
"-Ok. fasten your seatbelt if you haven't already, here we come!" Luna hit the gas pedal hard, and the car had an a very quick start. Michael sank into the seat and his eyes grew as big as plates. He even wondered if the tarmac behind the car had curled up.
Michael screamed like a girl. A loud "aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh" was heard from the car. Princess Luna looked at him for a moment before focusing her eyes on the road. She obviously had too much fun to care. Luna drove past every single car that actually holded the speed limit. Michael was terrified.
"-WHAT ARE YOU DOING??" he scared Luna a bit, making her drive into the oncoming traffic. Michael got even more terrified.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! WATCH OUT!!!!!"
Luna drove back on the right side of the road, nearly hitting a semi truck in the process. Luna slowed down a bit, but were still going way faster than the speed limit. -"What are you so scared for? we're totally safe in this box. Nothing can hurt us in here." Luna had a sarcastic face on her. "Why don't you just begin the interview anyway?" Michael couldn't say much. He were more busy holding onto the armrest, and screaming as much as he could. Luna suddently hit the back of a car, but could easily drive away from that.
"-Are you trying to kill us?" Michael was still scared, but managed to talk. "-Not really, I'm trying to have fun. Interviews are boring." Luna hit the gas pedal, and turned onto a bigger road. An avenue, filled with more cars. "-This can't be for real" said Michael as he hold tight on the armrest.
Luna saw a car transporter that had no cars on, she decided to drive onto it's ramp, and jump off like a stuntmare. "-Hey, you didn't tell me your name. What's your name young colt?" Michael looked at Luna, giving her an angry face. He wasn't sure if she was joking or not. "-I'm Michael, and I want you to stop immediately!". Luna laughted. "-Oh no Michael, you were supposed to interview me, but in the meantime, why don't we jump off this truck in front of us?" Michael looked ahead, and got large eyes. Luna aimed on the jump, and gave the car full throttle. The car roared and hit the jump. They flied for a few seconds before nearly landing onto a car driving in front of the car transporter. Michael screamed as high as he could. Luna laughed very hard. She was indeed having fun, but Michael, was so terrified. He began to wonder if he would survive another crazy stunt. Before he managed to say anything, Luna drove around a corner and were speeding towards a shopping mall with large glass doors.
"-I hope you don't mind me driving through a shopping mall; I like to shop fast" said Luna. Michael could only scream more. As they drove through the main doors, they nearly hit some ponies in the way, but everypony managed to get out of the way. Luna hit the horn several times, "Coming through!" she said. And of course everypony did. Luna accidentally hit a food stall, but nopony were in it. Ketchup covered half the windscreen, but Luna put on the wipers and now she could see were she was going again. But unfortunately, Luna didn't manage to steer away from a burger shop they drove into. It was closed though, so nopony were in there. But there were a lot of cleaning buckets and half eaten burgers still left on the tables. Burgers, soda, buckets and mops flew into the windscreen when Luna hit the tables. Michael screamed like never before. The car eventually came to a quick stop when they hit the counter. the counter must have been cemented into the ground. "-Oh finally we're done." Michael said in happiness. But the happiness didn't last long. Luna managed to start the car and put it in reverse.
They soon were out of the burger shop, and were heading towards the exit. "Oh my the nightmare is still not over!" Michael said as they drove out of the shopping mall. They came out of the shopping mall on the other side, into a pedestrian zone. Luna did as best as she could to avoid hitting anypony, but she presumably had done this before."WATCH OUT!!!" Michael screamed out of the passenger window. Everypony got out of the way, but Luna managed to hit a lot of marketplace stalls, and different items flew into the air when she hit them.
They reached the end of the pedestrian zone, and drove out on a road. Luna eventually calmed down with her driving. And Michael was pleased. He could now finally relax in the seat. "-Oh my it's over. It's finally over." Luna looked at him. She really wanted to just hit the gas pedal for a little moment to scare him again, but this was enough. She now drove like any other pony. Under the speed limit, and set course for the Manehatten Times main office.
Luna parked outside the entrance. The same place were she picked up Michael. Michael was so relaxed. He could hardly do anything now. "-So, how was the ride?" Luna asked ironic. Michael didn't answer. He kept breathing slowly. He eventually managed to say something. "-Well, you scared me to death, but other than that, it was ok." He took his notepad that had fallen onto the car's floor. And got ready to write something. "So...would you recommend everypony in Manehatten to buy a car?" Michael was now all normal again. All the relaxation had made him normal. "-Of course I do, Michael. Everypony shoud get a car, but they should drive more careful than me." Luna smiled and laughted a bit. She only drove like this to get attention. She always felt lonely when sitting in the tower back home in Canterlot. Having fun like other ponies was something she really wanted to do. But she began to wonder if driving like a moron were the correct solition. "-Ok Luna. Thanks for your time. I gotta go write about all this." Michael opened the door, but was pulled back in the seat by Luna. "-here's a reward for having enough courage to ride with me". Luna gave Michael a kiss on his cheek. Michael blushed. "-Oh no problem Luna. it was fun". He didn't really mean that, but getting a kiss by Princess Luna, was enough to make him forget all the fear he had today.
He waved at Luna as she drove off. Michael had a big smile on his face. He had gotten a kiss by Princess Luna herself. Michael couldn't hold in his laugh when he saw that Luna suddently hit a car right before she drove around a corner. "Oh well, somethings never change." Michael said to himself.
