The Lantern Corps.

The most powerful and organised force in the galaxy, they are a policing, military and peace keeping organization all in one. After all the Corps decided on a peace treaty, sometimes hanging by a thread yet united nonetheless. Through their unity they have bested countless odds and emerged victorious no matter what foe they were faced with, such is the result of having absolute power.....

However, an new entity has made it's presence known by killing the last Guardians of the Universe. Yet they sent a message before their demise, it was only one word, Equestria. As the Guardians were the Lantern Corps advisers and main source of information the Corps are set on finding out just what this entity is. This message was given in the form of a single Green Power Ring containing the message and co-ordinates, coming to a logical consensus the Lantern Corps decides to send the Green Lantern branch to investigate. Being the most experienced and battle forged branch of the Corps their leader Lycus Charon is entrusted with the task of finding out just what the cryptic message leads to.

This story is set in an alternate Green Lantern universe where all the corps were formed pretty much around the same time independent of one another and formed a singular Lantern Corps with the different colors of the emotional spectrum being branches of the Corps instead of them all being divided. As a result of this alternate Corps Hal Jordan and Kyle were never brought into the Corps since they had no need for recruits at the time.
