My name is Darkheart, staff sergeant of the 31st armored battalion in King Sombra's military it was a large powerful army, until Celestia's army attacked and wiped us out. They had started with artillery firing at our defenses then the bombers came and killed almost every single living thing in the outpost. there was no reinforcements that could come in and help us they had all been destroyed by Celestia's might. We had tried to Make an alliance with the Lunar Republic before but that hadn't done anything. Now I am going to tell you what had happened to me and the future.
January,4,2105 Sombrian military outpost, west of The Crystal Empire
"It's the same stuff everyday!" I sighed as I was repairing the tanks "All we do is sit here and make these tanks look pretty." I looked at my pilot Hooffang "The last time we even got out of this damn place was weeks ago!"
"I know how you feel" Hooffang said "I get so bored that I stay here and clean the walls".
"So that's why they're always so clean." I said staring at the others passing by "but you do know that there's chess in the cafeteria at night right?" "What!" yelled Hooffang "why didn't you tell me that sooner?" I was about to answer but then the sirens went off. "Attention this is not a drill Celestia's forces are firing on our base get prepared and fire back!" the general said on the intercom. "Finally some action" I said preparing the tank for combat.
"Our AA guns have been destroyed sir" said the tactician to the General "they might be up to something"
The 56th tank legion exited the outpost guns blazing but their tanks where to far away to hit the artillery
"We just can' t hit them" I said firing on their artillery batteries "Can you get any closer" I told Hooffang
"If we get any closer we risk getting hit" Hooffang told me "And I don't feel like being the first one to die"
"We are approaching and are getting ready to launch the payload" said a pilot of the Celestia air force as he was getting his bomber close enough to let down the payload
"Sir your not gonna like this" I said on the intercom "but their a whole lot of bombers coming your way"
"Get back here marine I don't want you to die out their" the general told me.
"Copy that" I replied while Hooffang drove us back home "You know I really don't think going back there is that great of an idea" I said.
"Screw that I'm heading towards the sewers" as I heard officers telling others to get to the bunkers "At least I can get out of here if I head down there instead of trying to survive in a destroyed outpost" Hooffang left me to head down to the bunkers so I guess I'll have nothing left to lose.
As I ran down the sewers which probably lead to some town I heard the bangs and booms from the bombs being dropped
"So does hiding in a bunker sound like a great idea now?" I said to myself.
January,5,2105 Canterlot
"They didn't expect the mini nuke did they" said Celestia taking a sip of wine "but was their any survivors?"
"No we checked all their bunkers it looked like the radiation had gotten in but also our army has almost reached Sombra's castle" said the general.
"Good, I don't want to deal with King Sombra anymore" She said.
January,5,2105 The sewers
"When will it end?" I said as I tiredly walked into the depths of the sewers. I went through another path that might lead to nowhere "What's that?" I noticed what might be a hatch curious I went closer and my frown started to turn "Well I don't want to be down here any longer" I said as I climbed up hatch. Opening the hatch made my frown deeper than it already was, four guards pointing their rifles at my head.
January,5,2105 King Sombra's castle
"This is what I have been trying to stop for hundreds of years and the only reason I wanted to kill the princesses was so this war could never happen" Sombra said to himself.
The general ran towards him a look of fear in his eyes "sir celestia army is going to be at our front doors any minute now!".
"Prepare the defenses we might not survive this attack but at least we can take out some of her forces trying" Sombra said to him
"Right away sir" the general responded and sprinted towards the barracks.
"Fire at their engine" the general said on the intercom as bullets sprayed from the AA guns towards the helicopters and jets flying to and fro trying to get a clean hit on Sombra's forces. A jet was taken down and collided into the castle but didn't go through it as the Apache helicopters where firing missiles at the castles support.
A few minutes into the battle most of the castle was rubble and a large half of Sombra's forces where dead before the second round of the attack had began. "What is that thing it's massive" the general stared at what was Celestia's helicarrior ripping a hole through the clouds Sombrian fighter jets where trying to take it down but ultimately failed trying to get through the AA guns as they were ripping their jets apart.
Sombra tried to contact his general but Celestia had jammed his radio to contact him "Surrender or face the consequences" she said. Angered Sombra threw the radio out the window and prepared for what will be his death.
The bridge of the carrier was very futuristic for the year it was made it had screens lining all over the walls and a cup holder next to the pilot's seat. the general siting at the communications control panel looked at Celestia "He hung up" Celestia's general said, Celestia laughed
"Ha! he really thinks he can get away fire every nuke on this damn ship at that castle and then check for survivors and kill them".
"Affirmative firing nuclear missiles now" the pilot said with a perplexed look on his face.
The castle was now a ball of ash and inferno Sombra had died before he could use a teleportation spell and only the ones that had survived escaped in transport before Celestia's forces reached the castle. Meanwhile Darkheart is in the most painful state he has ever been in, hunger.
