Author's Note
This is the only chapter and my first story criticism is welcomed and I know its short and not the best but this is some thing I wrote and I hope you like thanks for reading or not. Edited on 04/11/18
A day at the park.
It was a sunny day in Canterlot the birds were singing and Twilight and her older brother Shining armor were having a picnic. "I'm so happy you could be here B.B.B.F.F!" Said twilight helping put the blanket down for the picnic. But only failing miserably. "Um a little help?"
Shining just standing there watching his seven year old sister try and put it down on her own. "Hold on twily,"He calmly walked over and used his magic to put it down nice and neat. "And I am happy I could be here with my favorite L.S.B.F.F. I'm just lucky my commander let me have a early day after I told him what we had planned." Laughing a bit at what the other cadets are doing. Most likely cleaning the mess hall.
"So..." Twilight began. "What's with you and Cadence and why are you always so nervous when she comes to foal sit me hmm?" Twilight said leaning in to hear better with a sly smile.
Shining Armor started to blush at the mention of Cadence`s name. "Um ,um I'll tell you when your older." Shining said trying to doge a bullet.
"Oh come on! I was so close to finding out." Twilight said throwing her small hooves in the air in defeat. "Anyway what do you want to first. Look at the clouds or play tag?"
"How about we eat first." Said Shining eyeing a daffodil sandwich. "I call the cupcake!!!"
"No fair." Said Twilight puffing out her cheeks and pouting. "I wanted the cupcake. You always get the best stuff." As she talked tears welled in her eyes.
"Oh no don't cry Twily." Shining Armor said almost panicking. Thinking quickly, he held it up to her. "Here you can have the cupcake and what ever else you want!"
Twilight looked up through watery eyes. "Oh my gosh really!" Her crying stop automatically.
She took it and was about to eat it when she looked up at Shining seeing he was pouting. "Here you can have half." She said trying to make her horn spark to pick up a butter knife but having trouble.
"Thanks Twily." He said smiling. "Here let me help." He took the butter knife with ease in his magic.
Cutting the cupcake in half. "But we have to wait till we finish lunch."
"Aw do I have to?" Said Twilight pouting.
"Think of it this way,if you finish quickly you can have the cupcake then we can play." Shining said eyeing her out of the corner of his eye. With a smile and shoving her playfully in the the shoulder.
"Fine. But you owe me a story ." She said picking up here sandwich with here hooves.
"Okay, okay I owe you a story." He said picking up his sandwich in his magic. "Finally I get to eat!" He was about to take a bite of his food when he hears his sisters name called. He turned his head to the source of the noise.
" TWILIGHT!" Said Cadence from afar. She was smiling fondly.
"Cadence!" Said Twilight in a high pitch scream. Running towards her. She tripped but recovered fast and proceeded to run.
"Cadence. Is . Here." He started blushing madly. Almost choking on his sandwich.
When Twilight and Cadence got to each other they did there dance... " SUN SHINE SUN SHINE LADY BUGS AWAKE CLAP YOUR HOOVES AND DO A LITTLE SHAKE." They said finishing there dance with a wiggle of their flank.
"How's my favorite filly?" Said Cadence in her usual cheery tone.
"Good." Said Twilight "Were having a picnic want to join?!" She looked up at Cadence with such hopeful eyes.
"Oh I'm so sorry Twily." Cadence said. " I can't I'm on my way to class maybe next time, and say hi to Shiny for me." As she walked off she gave a wink at him. And he blushed. "I love that stallion." She thought.
As Cadence left to go to class Twilight ran back to Shining and said. "Cadence said hi and that she can't join us." Said Twilight ending her sentence with a frown. She really liked Cadence.
Shining Armor noticed this and put his hoof on her chin. "How about we invite her next time she doesn't have class hmm?" He said putting his best smile on for his sister.
"Okay." Twilight said cheering up a little. "Hey can you tech me how to fly a kite you promised?"
"Okay anything for my L.S.B.F.F." He said as he brought out the kite for them.
"Thanks B.B.B.F.F." She was happy she had great big brother like him.
For the rest of the day they flew the kite and watched clouds and more till the sun when down. And it was time for all little fillies and colts to go to bed. Shining noticed that Twilight started to drift off and decided to go home." Come on Twily time to go home."Shining Armor stated. Seeing his sisters head go down then jerk back up suddenly. The process repeated over and over.
"Aw but I'm not even tired." She said stifleing another yawn.
"Oh ya, you can barely keep you eyes open." He said with a chuckle in his voice.
"Come on just five more minutes?" She said with pleading eyes.
"Ok , five more minutes." He said sighing with defeat. But not two minutes later she was already asleep. "Come on let's get home." He whispered. Soon they were home and he tucked her into bed and said goodnight.
"Goodnight B.B.B.F.F. love you."said twilight and went to sleep.
