Chapter 4

Previous Chapter

Farther out behind the ship the TARDIS had materialized. Chives and Junior were both still in shock about how the inside was bigger than the outside. Junior was still amazed by all that had happened.
"So you're an alien", Junior asked excitedly!
"Yep", the Doctor responded, "one hundred percent alien. Now I would love to answer question about my anatomy but we still do have a crash to investigate".
"That's right", Chives said trying to take control, "now maybe if you two weren't fooling around we can find this thing". He began to turn and take point, but the Doctor immediately jumped in front of him.
"Now come along you two", the Doctor said while walking into the woods. They hadn't moved too far when they found the wreckage of the ship. Junior was even more excited.
"Wow even more aliens"! He began to sound like a fan boy. But while Junior was excited the Doctor looked almost scared. Chives was the first to notice this.
"Doctor", Chives asked softly, "why are you looking like that"?
"Chives", said the Doctor in a serious manner, "imagine you just went through hell and back finally defeating what caused it all. Then imagine it all coming back". The Doctor started to run down towards the ship scanning over everything. Once he got to the door he found the hole and started to get worried. "Oh no", he said worryingly, "no,no,no"!
"Wait Doctor what's wrong", Chives asked.

"Something has either gotten in or out of that ship, I only hope that something got in"! He ran inside the ship, with Chives and Junior falling behind.

Tinker had begun to look through the ship, so far he had only found empty silver hallways with a window every now and then. From time to time there would be a door he would have to laser open, but this was risky as his laser was running out of charge. He soon found a door that looked different from the others. It was a cream white door with markings on it that Tinker had never seen. He looked down at his laser realizing it only had enough power for one more laser.

"Hopefully this one will have something good behind it". The laser cut through the door, and he was shocked about what was on the other side. There was a huge metallic room with cell like containers. Inside of each lay a robotic looking pony. It was all silver with handlebars over their heads. There had to at least be 20 in that very room, so he did the most logical thing he could. Scream.

Farther down the corridor the Doctor, Chives, and Junior all heard the scream. They immediately began running towards the sound.
"Why is it that the first thing that comes to mind when a spaceship crashes is to go inside of it", the Doctor said sounding annoyed. When they soon reached the containment room he found the cyber-ponies still in their containers, but Tinker was still screaming. Chives walked toward him and slapped him across the face. When Tinker looked up he seemed terrified to find the three looking over him. "Now tell me what do you know", said the Doctor.. Tinker looked at the Doctor, still terrified. He shoved all three of the ponies out of the way and sprinted out of the ship.
"Doctor he's getting away", Chives shouted!
"Let him, it's not his fault he found this".
"What exactly is this place", Junior asked?
"This is a cyber-pony transport ship. I thought that I had finished them all off for good, but it appears that I was wrong".
"What exactly are cyber-ponies", Chives asked.

"They're...well you". Chives and Junior looked confused, so the Doctor explained. "Cyber-ponies were equine just like you, but they had to adapt to a whole new environment. It started out fine by just making suits, but it soon got out of hoof and instead went to a total conversion. Theirs nearly nothing left of equine in them".

Tinker hadn't known how many corridors he had run through, all he knew was that he had to get away from whoever and whatever those things were. He kept thinking about his comfy bed, and his lab where he could just stay all day. What he hadn't noticed while running out was that he pressed a red button on one of the doors.

The Doctor was still looking over the whole ship trying to figure out why it was in ruins.
"It just doesn't make sense", the Doctor said to himself, "theirs no way the cyber-ponies would just crash like this, they're excellent pilots. Plus last time I saw them I thought I finally finished them off". Just then the entire room lit up, shining more light on the cyber-ponies.
"How did that happen", Junior asked?
"Not sure, I must have done something to the control panel. I'm going to try and figure out how exactly these ones crashed".
Chives was still examining the ponies with a keen eye, finding every last bit of what these ponies were.
"So Doctor how do you know so much about these things"?
"Well I've had quite a bit of experience with them. I am about 850 years old, so I had a big chance of meeting them".
"Have you found out what you've had to Doctor", asked Junior, "this place is starting to give me the creeps".

"No I'm going to need to fetch some supplies from my TARDIS to figure this thing out". He turned around to face the two guards. "Well come on, I'm going to need some help carrying over supplies". The three ponies walked out of the pilots room. What all of them neglected to see was a cybernetic arm beginning to twitch.

Tinker hadn't known how long he had run, he just wanted to get away from there. He didn't stop until he had reached his house, then locked himself in his garage.

"WHAT THE HELL DID I SEE! TH- THEIR WERE- UH"! He took a deep breath. "Okay Tinker calm down, try to process what you just saw". He went over to his desk, pulled out a quill, and began sketching what he saw. "That's strange their dimensions are exactly the same as my design. I wonder....".

Back in the ship a metallic arm moved over to the control panel, and began pushing some buttons.
"Prepare for immediate teleportation", said a robotic voice. Outside the entire ship vanished out of thin air leaving only a crater behind.
Back in the woods the Doctor, Chives, and Junior were all walking back with various tools upon their backs. The Doctor was carrying a toolbox, Junior a mess of wires, and Chives two strange cylinder objects. When they reached the crash site the Doctor, threw down the box and ran.
"No, no, NO", shouted the Doctor as he ran towards the spot where the ship once was. "What happened to the ship, it was right here"! He began feeling around as if the ship was invisible, but it wasn't invisible, and it wasn't there anymore.
"Doctor what should we do now", asked Junior worriedly?

"Well I recommend we get back to the castle. I worked in a lab there a long time ago so hopefully it's still there, and still has all of my equipment". With that the trio picked up everything and started walking back towards the TARDIS.

"Where are those three", Luna thought to herself? "He's been gone for quite a while, what's taking him so long"? Her answer came when the TARDIS materialized in front of her in the throne room. Out came the trio all of which were acting completely calm. "Oh there you are, what took you so long". The Doctor decided to be truthful.
"It was nothing just a meteorite that didn't burn up in time".
"Was that really it though? I know your tricks Doctor and I know that you often lie". She turned away from the Doctor and looked Junior in the eye. "Now answer me truthfully was their anything there that is a danger to my ponies"? At first he was calm, but when he saw Luna's death like stare he wasn't as confident. He started sweating and looking around the room. "Well"?
"Everything there is fine", he said still sweating.
"Junior", Luna responded calmly, "if you don't tell the truth I will have you thrown in the dungeon for 10 years", her tone grew more intimidating, "and have your family become ponies on the street. Now tell me the truth". Junior seemed scared for his life, thus he told the truth as fast as he could.
"TherewasaspaceshipthatcrashedanditdisappearedadntheDoctordoesn'tknowwhereitwentandpleasedon'truinmyfamily", Junior replied bursting into tears afterword. Luna, realizing that she had done wrong, put her wing over him to comfort him.
"Now Junior I would never ever do such a cruel thing, but I just needed you to tell the truth. Now speaking of the truth", she turned around to find the Doctor no where to be seen, however the box was still there. While she had been talking the Doctor had made a break for his lab, which he found almost immediately. The room was quite dusty with boxes everywhere containing strange devices. He began looking through the boxes for one of the devices he needed, when Luna walked in. "Doctor how dare you run away from me like that, if I knew better I would have you chained up".
"Where are my supplies", the Doctor asked.
"Well everything that was once here is still here, just in boxes". Realizing what she had said he turned around and confronted her.
"How do you know where my supplies are"?
"What ever do you mean"
"I arrived in this lab after you were banished, so how would you know where everything is"? Luna began looking nervous, and started looking around the room. "Answer me"!
"You couldn't just answer me"! Her voice started normally, then began to change into a deep robotic voice. "Now Doctor tell me where your devices are"! As she was talking all of her skin vanished leaving the shell of a robot made to look like Luna. Her eyes were red with rage, and her wings were sharpened into blades. The Doctor jumped back in surprise, his first instinct was to find something to push it back with. Before he could the robot shot a laser beam out of her metal horn which burst through one of the windows. He reached inside one of the boxes and found an old blaster he once used. It shot another blast, this time it lit one of the boxes on fire. By now the Doctor had loaded the blaster and shot one beam into the chest of the robot.
The robot's eyes went dark, the head drooped down, and it was shut down. The Doctor cautiously moved towards it, trying to figure out where it came from and who built it. As he moved closer he saw the eyes slowly beginning to flicker.
"You can't just go down easy", he said, annoyed. In the doorway Twilight, broken from her sleep by the noise, came running in.
"What the hell happened here", she said sounding scared. The robot's head began to lift up, and the Doctor ran behind it and grabbed Twilight.
"Run", he said loudly. The two began running down the hall just as the robot finally moved it's head up.
"What was that thing"?
"Some kind of robot imposter sent to kill me".
"Why would it want to kill you"
"I'll explain later". The two reached Celestia's room and slammed the door shut. Celestia woke up, startled to find bot ponies in her room.
"What are you two doing here", she said angrily! The Doctor had pulled out his sonic screwdriver, and began sonicing the door.
"Tia are you able to fully use your magic right now", the Doctor asked?
"Well yes, but why are you asking"
"Because we're about to need it". He began pushing Twilight back. Celestia had gotten out of bed, and was immediately in a combat stance. "Get ready"! The door burst open with the cyborg standing right in the frame. It began scanning the room for the Doctor. "Fire"! Celestia sot a huge beam from her horn into the head of the robot. But the robot took no damage, and began moving closer to the Doctor. By this point Twilight was also ready, and shot an even bigger beam into the chest of the robot. The robot began to spark and move clunky. The Doctor pulled out his sonic and finally shut off the robot permanently. Hearing all of the commotion, Luna came running in.
"What happened", she asked worriedly. The Doctor replied sternly.
"The first stage of the invasion has started".
