//-------------------------------------------------------// Blast To The Past -by Mleep- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue When I was born I had a very rare condition to where my legs where small and could barley support myself. Luckily I'm living in an age filled with tons of technology, and I wouldn't need to worry about not being able to walk. They were able to put a band around my legs that could feel the muscles I was moving and translate them into actual movements. Even with how advanced they were it was going to be a risky procedure since there wasn't many ponies to test it on, I guess I'm the lucky test subject. The bands were so advanced, even for the time I lived in. They had so many electrical circuits and so many little things in it, I almost wish I could open it up and study it. Well obviously since I wasn't able to do that I could study other things, and even through my live and into college I was obsessed with electronics, physics, and history. But out of all of them I loved learning about the past events that shaped our world. I've heard that Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are from the old times, farther than any other text books or documents went back. Too bad they won't tell their origins, but they protect us and that's all that matters. My job was so exciting for me in so many ways. Me and some scientists from all over the world came together to work on this project, and it was to build a time machine. I was so glad to be able to help build this project with them even though they didn't know me, I only knew one person there. What they were talking about sounded very logical and very much possible to have time travel, but of course logical doesn't mean it's correct. So after many days of constantly working on it we had finally finished building on it and they were making sure all the calculations were correct. Oh man I was so excited to finally see all this hard work come together. They put it on 987 A.D., I guess there was apparently a very powerful pony during that time who was Princess Celestia's personal student. They had put all the calculations in and checked it twice but yet here they were, just standing there. I had asked what the problem was and they said they needed some pony to see if it works-of course they couldn't have decided on that before they worked on it. I reluctantly choose myself, I had always wanted to go back into time and see the world for myself. I had heard of villages and forests, things I don't think I'd be able to imagine or see in my city or in most of this world. And flying was expensive as heck. They were surprised some pony had actually decided to let them test it on them, I heard the last one didn't go too well, ended up with some pony's guts splattered all over the wall. Going in this chamber for the first time was very scary, honestly I didn't know if I was going to live or die but at least I died willingly. The turned on all the switches up, one by one. Eventually I started to feel very funny inside, hopefully that wasn't as sign of my soon-to-be death. It started to feel very nauseating in there, I felt like I could throw up. And then I started to feel an intense amount of pain. The pain was on such an unbearable level I pleaded to let me out but stopping it right there would have just killed me from the insane amount of forcing being pushed into this one center. Besides, all they cared about was science... I woke up with with a blinding sun right in my face, and boy was I confused. Did I teleport? Did the scientist bring me to the hospital? Those were all possible outcomes, until I realized what I was laying on, freakin' dirt. You would never see dirt in the city, even in the more poor areas of it. I turned my head from the blinding sun to see all these things I had only previously seen in books. Trees, flowers, and all kinds of different little insects. Seeing this all at once was so beautiful, so much better than paintings could depict. Then it hit me, I don't have any pony here and I don't know where to go, this place was so foreign to me. The first thing I had to do was remain calm, maybe I teleported to somewhere near a village. But where to head exactly was going to be a stretch, so I decided to head to where to sun was. It looked like it was just rising upwards so I should have plenty of time to search today. "Is there something wrong, Princess Celestia?" said one of her royal guards. "I don't know, I just feel as if a huge amount of energy came into the world. It could just be nothing but that kind of feeling hardly ever happens. I don't think I will be able to ignore it any longer, I will be back." said Celestia as she gracefully flies off. It was getting to be about noon if I had to take a guess. I had climbed over a few mountains and crossed a river, and I was almost over another one. Then out of the corner of my eye I could see a quaint little village, didn't seem to be too huge. I was so happy that I finally found civilization here. I had the sudden feeling of adrenaline running through my body and I ran as fast as I possibly could until I reached the outskirts of town. Now looking around this place was very different from the huge skyscrapers and building I'm used to. Knowing my condition I am sure I would stick out from the regular crowds here. Trying to think of a way to cover these legs was going to be impossible. I guess I would just have to wait until it was night fall to make my way around the town, hopefully unnoticed, even with these semi-bright legs of mine. It had finally hit nightfall and it was my time to look around for something to eat, I am a normal pony after all. Walking through I could see that the shops had finally closed for the day and any ponies had finally left and went to their respectable homes. I had looked around some of the more easily accessible shops but could find nothing to eat. After a while of looking I could see what I believed to be an orchard, and they had apples! I silently went over as to not attract any other ponies and quietly went over the fence. Sometimes I was just good to have a horn, I could pick them without having to even try. While I was grabbing apples I heard a snap, and I stopped right in my tracks, I think it was behind me. Immediately I heard growling, like some sort of dog would do. At that point my only priority was staying alive so I made a quick decision to run off. I was able to keep to dog far away from me with my magic luckily, and by any time he could find me I would be far enough from his reach. I had to breathe super heavily, I was really out of shape. I checked back one more time to make sure nothing was following me. I saw nothing but I could hear something, but it sounded more a long like wings flapping than a dog. I looked up because I did see a pegasus while I was waiting for nightfall. And I saw what looked like a pegasus but my gosh was it bigger than any pony I have ever seen. Yet it looked like one and it was coming right for me....
