You Need A Vacation

Shutdown and Smooth Dive have been friends in the newly-reinstated Night Guard for several months. They've been guarding the same door every night for exactly as many months. For Smooth Dive, relationships he's been meaning to manage have been slipping further and further away from him. After confessing this to Shutdown one night while guarding the doors to Princess Luna's empty chambers, his friend decides to force a leave for the both of them.

While doing so frees up time for Smooth Dive, he finds that he can't use it for what he meant to. Seems like a Guard's work is never over…
