It was a hot summer day and Scootaloo was in the Cutie Mark Crusaders club house dying. Her and Apple Bloom were waiting for Sweetie Belle so they can start there meeting.
"It's so hot and I'm so board."
"Ah don't know what's taking her so long."
Just then Sweetie Belle came in with ice cream. Scootaloo was confused, she didn't look hot at all. In fact she could have sworn she felt a breeze coming off of her. But what did she care she had ice cream.
"Sorry I'm so late you guys I didn't want to leave Rarity's house," she said while giving them each and ice cream cone. "It's so nice and cool with her new air conditioner installed."
This made Scootaloo and Apple Bloom very angry.
"Air conditioner!" They said at the same time.
"Ah've been burning my butt off while ya where in a nice cool house?!"
"Why didn't we just move the meeting over there?"
"I would have told you but Rarity's really busy and she doesn't need any distractions."
"Just forget it let's move on."
Apple Bloom went behind the podium and stood on top of the apple crate so they could see her.
"I call this meeting of the Cutie Mark Crusaders to order. Our first subject: expanding our boundaries."
"Actually Apple Bloom I have something I would like to bring up," said Scootaloo getting up and taking Apple Blooms place behind the podium. "A few of the Pegasus at school have formed a Pegasus Flight club. If they get enough flyers then they could preform for ponies, at games, and even tournaments. I think it'd be really cool to join."
"But that's only for Pegasus and we're busy as it is."
"Actually guys I was hoping that I could do this alone. I just wanted to know if you were cool with it."
"Ah think it's fine that ya wanna spread your boundaries, right Sweetie Belle?"
"Um sure why not."
"Really?! You guys are the best, but I have to go tryouts are today. I'll still be a member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, but not full time okay?"
"Ah thinks that's fine, just don't forget us small ponies when your famous."
"I won't, thanks again."
With that she hopped on her scooter and went to tryouts.
It was Scootaloos turn and she was ready. She zoomed in on her scooter and did stunning tricks. Wings flapping, heart racing, this was the feeling of a winner. She was super fast on her scooter and super sure that she'd get in. When she was done the judges talk for a moment before one spoke.
"I'm sorry but you're just not what were looking for."
Scootaloo was heart broken.
"But why? I was amazing out there."
"Well if you would have shown us some actual flying then we may reconsider."
"You want flying I'll show you flying."
Scootaloo got off of her scooter and flapped her wings with all her might. She was doing it she was flying, or she must have been since she was breathing so hard. She opened one eye and saw that she was barley off the ground. She stopped and looked at the judges.
"Well, how did I do?"
"Um.. that was very interesting."
"So do I get in."
"I'm afraid not."
"What why?"
"Lets just say your act didn't, take off."
Everypony started laughing at her.
"Hey, that's so mean."
"Sorry but we've decided to in a different direction, and your act went in no direction."
Everypony laughed even harder. Scootaloo was devastated and angry, she went strait to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash was surprised to see her cry. After telling her everything Rainbow gave her a bit of advice.
"Sounds to me like you need to apologize to your friends."
"But what if they don't want to be friends anymore?"
"You'll never know until you try."
So Scootaloo went back to the club house where she found Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle trying to share a fan. Sweetie Belle looked back and saw her.
"Scootaloo!" She yelled hugging her.
"We thought ya'd left us for good."
"What no way, but after the way I treated you I would think the same."
"Well you were kind of a jerk."
"I know and it'll never happen again i swear, I'm a Cutie Mark Crusader 100% of the time."
"Ah know it's a little late but wanna get back to the meeting."
"Defiantly."
"Okay first subject: expanding our boundaries."
Dear, Princess Celestia
Today I learned that it doesn't matter what group your in, or what you can and can't do. If ponies don't like you for who you are then there not your friends. And I'll make sure that I always keep that in mind.
Scootaloo
P.S. I'll be writing to you very soon. My and the girls have a little something in stored for the Flight Club. Maybe we'll get our cutie marks in sabotaging!
