III: Complications

Rainbow Dash walked up the stairs to Applejack's room, since that's where Granny Smith had told her she would be, and she knew better than to argue with the elder pony. She trotted to the second door down and knocked three times, waiting patiently for her lover to open up. The door flung open and Rainbow could see Applejack standing there, her Stetson drawn down over her eyes and a half smirk on her face.

"AJ? You alright?" Rainbow asked nervously.

"Ah'm fine, sugarcube," Applejack replied, "though you'll be less than in about thirty seconds."

"Wha-what do you mean?" Rainbow asked, her voice shaky and her face turning pale.

"Ah mean..." Applejack started, closing the door behind her fiancee and locking it. "That y'all will soon be beggin' for mercy."

"Wha--!" Rainbow stammered out as Applejack grabbed her and threw her onto the bed.

Rainbow landed softly on the mattress, but not before Applejack followed suit and tackled her, pinning her down on the mattress. She looked into Rainbow's eyes lustfully before connecting their lips in a passionate kiss, playing with Rainbow's tongue in her mouth as she deepened the kiss. Rainbow merely closed her eyes and went along with it, enjoying the moment with her fiancée.

As soon as Applejack broke the kiss, Rainbow Dash managed to free one of her hooves and plant it over her lover's mouth before she could continue.

"Applejack," she said, "we need to talk."

"What is it, sugarcube?" Applejack asked her.

"It's about our friends, when are we gonna tell them about our engagement?" Rainbow managed to ask.

"Hmm," Applejack pondered it for a second, then nodded. "Yeah, that is gonna be a bit of a problem, ain't it?"

"I mean, we can just get them all together if we have to, not like it'd be a problem." Rainbow suggested.

"Yeah, that's a good idea, hon," Applejack agreed.

Rainbow sighed in relief, but didn't have time to do much else before Applejack was on her again, kissing her and holding her down as their bodies rubbed together. Applejack then broke the kiss and slid off of her lover before going to the closet and rummaging around in it for a minute. Rainbow Dash watched as Applejack found what she was looking for, and couldn't keep her eyes away from her perfectly curved ass. Applejack turned around, her lasso in her mouth. Rainbow's ears drooped at the sight of it, but didn't have a second to react as Applejack threw the lasso around her, wrapping around her forelegs and wings and tying them against her body firmly.

Applejack then walked over and pushed Rainbow back down onto the bed and crawled on top of her, staring into her bright magenta eyes playfully.

"We ain't done this in a while, have we?" Applejack asked.

"Nope," Rainbow confirmed, a smirk quickly forming on her face. She missed this. Being tied up by her lover to do with as she pleased. It was one aspect about her that Applejack had come to love over the past year; that under Rainbow Dash's tough, take charge exterior, there was a submissive interior that loved to be controlled.

Applejack smiled as she crawled downwards, planting light kisses all along Dash's body on her trip to her treasure. Once she arrived, she wasted no time getting to work, suckling on Dash's clit before plunging her tongue deep inside her lover's hole.

Twilight couldn't stop thinking about what had transpired earlier that day. She had finally been able to confess her feelings to Rainbow Dash, but like she expected she was shot down. Now she couldn't help but feel guilty about it. She wanted nothing more than to go and apologize to Rainbow for the way she had acted, but knew it probably wouldn't end too well. If only things were different...

She laughed silently at herself. What a pathetic mare you are, Twilight Sparkle, she thought. Still gonna just sit here and complain about what is happening rather than doing something about it? She shook her head vigorously. Where did that come from? she wondered, not expecting a thought like that to cross her mind. Sure she loved Rainbow Dash, but she wasn't about to go and break up her and Applejack's relationship just to get to her. What kind of friend would she be if she did that? Never mind that neither Rainbow Dash nor Applejack would probably talk to her again, so she'd just lose anyway.

Still, she couldn't help but wonder what it would be like if Rainbow had been willing to give them a shot...

"But she wouldn't..." She muttered to herself. "That was a one-time thing, she even said so." She let her head rest on the windowsill that she was looking out of, her ears drooping and a look of sorrow on her face. Her horn was still damp from the events earlier that day, for she had neglected to clean it off after her and Dash's little 'escapade'. It quickly lit up a bright magenta as she floated several tissues towards her and then wiped them along the length of her grooved horn, sending a shiver down the unicorn's spine, which she dismissed quickly. She was in no mood for self-pleasuring at present.

She let out a small sigh before teleporting the cloth to the bathroom, landing it inside the hamper, and looked down.

"I shouldn't have done that..." She muttered. "It was stupid and reckless and now she probably hates me..." She sighed again and went to a bookshelf, taking one at random and starting to read. "Oh well, at least I had fun while it lasted..."

"Everyone, we have an announcement," Rainbow said, looking at Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie and Fluttershy as she cleared her throat. Applejack stood next to her, smiling brightly as Dash kept her wing around her torso. She looked at everyone slowly, spending an extra second on Twilight before continuing. "This is... I'm gonna be honest, the greatest thing that's ever gonna happen to me."

"You mean us, right hon'?" Applejack asked with a small laugh.

"Of course," Dash said, smiling. "So, together?"

"Together."

"Alright," Rainbow took a breath, and they both said it together. "We're getting married."

As soon as those words hit Pinkie's ears, she did a triple backflip in mid air, followed by a very loud "Congratulations!!!"

Rarity smiled brightly and glanced at Fluttershy, who was smiling brightly and clapping her hooves together. "Way to go, Rainbow Dash," she said quietly. "I'm so happy for you both."

"Aww shucks, Flutters," Applejack said, blushing a little as Dash nuzzled her cheek.

About the only mare who didn't look overly excited was Twilight. She was smiling, but it was clear that her guilt was going nuts. She hadn't known about the engagement. If she had, she wouldn't have tried anything with Rainbow. She needed to apologize before Applejack (or anyone else) found out. She looked at Fluttershy, at the floor, anywhere but at the object of her affection or the mare she was now engaged to. She hated herself for what had happened even more now.

"I... I need to go," she sputtered out, gaining confused looks from everyone.

"Awww, but we didn't even have a party yet!" Pinkie whined.

"We don't really need to have a party today, Pinkie Pie," Fluttershy said quietly. "Why do you have to go, Twilight?"

"Oh, uh... I realized, umm..." She didn't have an excuse. "I need to, uh, feed Owlouiscious! Yeah, that's it."

"I'm sure he can wait 'til ya get home, sugarcube," Applejack said reassuringly.

"Yeah, Twi. At least stay for a little while," Rainbow tried.

"No, I need to go," with that, her horn lit up and she teleported out of the cafe.

"What do ya think Twilight was so upset about, Dash?" Applejack asked as they walked home.

"I dunno, AJ," Rainbow replied, though she very much did know. "Maybe I should go talk to her."

"We can both go," Applejack suggested.

"Might be better if I go alone. Don't want to overwhelm her, right?"

"Yea, guess you're right," Applejack said, giving Rainbow a quick kiss on the lips. "Love ya."

"Love you too, AJ," Rainbow replied. "I'll be home later."

"Alright," Applejack said, walking towards the farm alone.

Rainbow Dash headed for the library, and knocked twice on the red, wooden door. She waited a few seconds, then it opened with a purple glow around it as Twilight stood in the entrance.

"Oh, hello, Rainbow Dash," she said.

"Hey, Twi," came Dash's response. "You wanna talk?"

"About what?"

"Why you ran off."

Twilight was silent for a moment, then moved out of the way to let Rainbow pass. She closed the door once the Pegasus was inside, then went to the couch and sat down. Rainbow watched her sit down, then decided to sit next to her, keeping a bit of distance between them.

"Look, Twilight... I know why you ran off," Rainbow said.

"I know, Rainbow. I'm sorry, I just..." She trailed off. "I wanted to apologize for what happened today. I didn't know about the engagement and I swear, if I had known, I wouldn't have tried that. I just needed to get it out... You know? Tell you before I lost my opportunity forever."

"I do know how that feels, it's how AJ and I started," Rainbow said. "But you know that there's no way I'm gonna betray her like that again. I'd be so ashamed. What kind of Element of Loyalty would I be if I did that? Hell, what kind of fiancée would I be if I let that happen?"

"I know, Rainbow. And I'm so sorry for what I did," Twilight said.

"I forgive you, Twilight. Really, I do."

Twilight nodded a little.

"If AJ's ever down for a threesome, I'll let you know. Alright?" Rainbow offered.

"Wait, what?!" Twilight blushed furiously.

"Well, what can I say? I enjoyed it," Rainbow said. "If you don't want to, then I understand."

"I'm not gonna come between you and the mare you love," Twilight said.

"Alright then," Rainbow said as she got up. "See ya later, Twi."

"Later, Dash," she replied.
