The Pink In Her Mane

It was a nice day out as Twilight Sparkle sat in her study. She knew she had to go out eventually and say hi to her friends but she was so involved with her studies, that she was completely distracted. She was really interested in the theories of black holes and was seeing if she could come up with one herself.

She finally managed to take all her notes and was just about to start writing down ideas for her theory when suddenly out of nowhere "HI!" Pinkie pie said. "Agh!" Twilight was startled and fell out of her seat and onto the floor. "Whatcha doing?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"Hey Pinkie, I was just studying." Twilight replied.

"Boooring. You should come outside it's such a nice day with the birds in the sky and all the ponies chatting about and..." Twilight tuned her out as she knew Pinkie was going to talk for a while. She was wondering how she got in when the door was locked...probably Spike.

"How does that sound?" Pinkie asked.

"Oh um sorry what was that Pinkie?"

"I asked if we should hang out with all the other girls and have a picnic. Doesn't that sound like fun?" Pinkie asked bouncing up and down.

"I guess I should get out of the house. So when are we gonna have this picnic?"

"Well right now."

"Now?" Twilight questions curiously.

"Well not now now but I mean we should get everypony else invited and then I'll have to bake some cupcakes and stuff but I could do that in a jam. So maybe you could invite all the other girls?"

"I suppose so." Twilight replied

"Great its a da- um picnic. See ya then." Pinkie pie said quickly then galloped off.

Hmm...strange Twilight thought. Probably nothing Twilight thought and went to go tell Spike she'd be back later.

Oh my Celestia I can't believe I just said that Pinkie thought to herself as she ran off to her home.
