Doing the grunt work is a familiar saying in our day and age for someone who is push around by others. Most people know this feeling all to well but none more than are own purple dragon, Spike. standing only about two and a half feet tall, Spike from birth has been Twilights assistant and been treated as such. Years have passed, Cadence and Shining Amor are married, He saved the Crystal Empire from Sombra and Twilight has become a Alicorn. So much has happened yet Spike still feels unfulfilled to the point where he begins to ask himself one simple question. " Where do I belong?"
Plagued with his deep thought Spike made his way to the thread and needle shop to pick up Rarity's shipment of thread for her new line of dresses. For some reason Spike felt off today and seemed unable to focus, questions filled his head like "what's my purpose?" and "why do I feel so out of place here?" These thoughts continued and distracted him so much he ran into the door of the shop. Spike then grew furious and began pulling on the door but it wouldn't open no matter how many times he pulled. Spike stopped and took a deep breath and noticed there was a sign on the door saying push. Spike felt foolish and rash as he entered the shop in Canterlot. He was soon greeted by the shopkeeper, Needles.
"Oh Spike, welcome back. Here to pick up Rarity's shipment again?" "Again?" Spike asked confused. "Ya, you come here ever other week or so to pick stuff up for Rarity."
Spikes thoughts became so clouded as of late that he had not even noticed how things have become so repetitive and dull in his life. After the Crystal Empire fiasco Spike realized he has been being treated like a chore boy by his so called friends. Thinking this infuriated Spike but knowing Twilight would never use him so he disregards for now. Spike picks up the shipment and makes his way toward the castle where Twilight is deep in the Library organizing books as one of her royal duties. As soon as Spike enters he is greeted by Twilight this comforts him. Twilight flys down from the top shelf and Spike is reminded that Twilight is now a princess. "Did you finish the shipment for Rareity yet?" Twilight asked spike. Spike nodded his head feeling proud of a job well done and now was free to relax. "Good!" Twilight quickly continues. " I need you to make lunch for me and the girl this afternoon." Spike hope where imidiatly crushed and as twilight started to name of types of food spike said quietly "no...." Twilight continued paying his no heed. "No" he repeated a little loader. "Hold on spike I am thinking?" Twilight replied. "No. No. No! Twilight no." Spike said loudly. Twilight was stunned but spike continued. " Twilight I am a dragon. A fire breathing purple scaled dragon! I am not your maid or your servant and sometimes it's hard to even tell I am your friend! I can't take this anymore!" Spike said and then ran out in tears as fast as he could leaving Twilight in sock stood there confused
As Spike ran as fast as he could despite what he heard in the distance. Spike rand and ran until his little legs could no longer support his body. Falling to the ground he has all but given up on being known as anything to his so called friends. As his energy dropped his eyes grew heavy.
