Chapters "So who are you?" Twilight asked. It was the first time any of them had spoke after the timber wolves incident. The small filly halted and turned around.
"Sorry. I forgot you ponies like to know other ponies. I'm Nebula. Who are you?" Nebula said sheepishly. Twilight turned.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle. This is Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack." Twilight said pointing at them. Nebula thoughtfully nodded.
"I have a question of my own. Why are you ponies in this forest?" Nebula questioned. Twilight hesitated then relented.
"Have you seen the stars falling from the sky?" Twilight said.
"Of course I have! Do you know the chaos it has been creating here! Half the creatures have gone into war!" Nebula shrieked. Rarity cringed at the filly's loudness. Twilight nodded.
"We are suppose to destroy what is doing it. We have a map to tell us where it might be." Twilight said. Nebula nodded. Then Twilight paused and stared at Nebula with a stare.
"Now what is a filly like you doing in a dangerous place like this? Do your parents know?"Twilight said intensely. Nebula twitched uncomfortably.
"I don't have any.." Nebula muttered quietly. Fluttershy gasped and Spike internally winced. That poor filly was in for it.
"How can you not have parents?!" Fluttershy shrieked half hysterical. Nebula coughed uncomfortably.
"I don't know. I grew up in this forest with no parents. I don't know why but I'm not going to question it." Nebula said matter of factly. Fluttershy fainted, in shock at the little pony's declaration. Spike chuckled and Twilight shushed him.
"Come on. If we are going to make it to my house by nightfall we have to get going now." Nebula snapped. Applejack gently woke Fluttershy and they started walking. Twilight clopped up next to Nebula.
"How did you get a house if no pony in Ponyville have heard of you?" Twilight asked. Nebula was quiet for a moment then answered.
"When I was old enough I figured that no pony would like me living here and they would take me to a orphanage or something so I built one myself. Took what felt like forever but I finally finished it." Nebula remarked. Twilight was shocked but after seeing what Applejack or Pinkie Pie might do she wasn't too shocked at the small filly.
"Wheee!" Pinkie Pie yelled. Twilight face hoofed and groaned. This was going to be a long trip.

Twilight Sparkle stared out the window. The meteor shower had been going on for days. The worse part was a day ago some had started crashing into Equestria. No one had been hurt yet but it was only a matter of time.
The familiar swirl of magic popped up in front of her as the letter popped up. Twilight took hold of it before it dropped to the floor and unrolled it.
Dear Twilight,
As soon as you finished reading this scroll it will teleport you and your friends to the palace. We have urgent matters to discuss.

Twilight felt the warm glow of magic as she was teleported to the royal castle.

"I'm glad you are all here." Celestia said. She and Luna along with the mane five stood in the empty throne room.
"Luna! What happened! Why don't you stop this!" Rainbow Dash yelled. Luna shook her head sadly.
"I can't. I have never had any real control over the stars. This is far out of my control I'm afraid." Luna said ashamed.
"That leads to the matter we need to discuss. Follow me please." Celestia said regally trotting toward her sister's throne.
"Celestia? What could be.." The mane five gasped as Luna's throne slid aside to reveal a hidden room. They numbly followed her in along with a saddened Luna.
The whole place was a a mix of a treasure room and a library. Rarity and Twilight were over joyed but Celestia went for a small plain chest in the center. Carefully she levitated it over to them and broke the lock.
Inside was a ancient looking book bound with red leather. "That's it? A old book!" Rainbow yelled.
"Slow down Sugarcube." Applejack snapped. Celestia levitated the book out and flipped through the pages.
"This is not any book. It's a book of prophecies by Star Swirl himself." Luna said. Twilight gasped.
"Why was it hidden?" Twilight gasped. To her such a rare book should be put in a Library.
"It was never.." Luna was cut off by Celestia. Celestia flipped around the book so they could all see the writing.
When stars fall
And the night fails
Look to the south
Where the chimera king prevails
A deadly plan hatched
A hidden weapon reached
Death or life Equestria shall reap
Destroying the weapon difficult
The one who can stop it gone
A past self awakened
Before the stars are gone
And Equestria lies in rubble
"What does it mean by past self?" Rainbow snapped. Celestia levitated the book back into the chest and snapped it closed.
"We assume a time travel spell. Now hurry ponies. The fate of Equestria lies in your hooves." Celestia said. Luna nodded.

The mane six galloped through the streets. Nearly every pony was inside so they could go even faster. Spike clung to Twilight's back, groaning quietly. They had been given a map to the Chimera Kingdom and a copy of the prophecy.
Teleported back to ponyville they needed to head through the Everfree forest. On the other side was the Chimera kingdom. They halted on the edge. Fluttershy quivered with fear but Rainbow was revved up.
"I'm ready! Let's do this!" She yelled excitedly. Applejack grabbed hold of her tail before she could zoom off.
"Hold up Sugarcube. Twilight has the map." Applejack said. Rainbow groaned and landed.
"It's going to be hard going girls. The Everfree is full of dangers so we have to stay close to each other at all times." Twilight said thoughtfully, levitating the map and staring at it.
"D-do I have to go?" Fluttershy said quivering with fear at the prospect.
"Of course! We need your help!" Twilight said. She rolled up the map and placed it in her saddlebags. Rainbow cheered.

The mane six trotted uneasily through the Everfree forest. They were only a little way in and it was already dark and gloomy. Rarity shrieked as yet another branch snagged her mane.
"Be quiet! Something could hear you!" Rainbow whisper-yelled.
"I can't help it! It's absolutely destroying my beautiful mane!" Rarity whisper-yelled back. Rainbow glared back.
Twigs snapped all around them. The scared ponies huddled up as branches snapped and creaked. Then a pair of bright gold eyes flashed open near them.
"TIMBER WOLVES! RUN!" Applejack yelled. Chaos exploded as five timber wolves raced out of the underbrush at the six ponies plus one dragon. The ponies raced in the other direction, trying to stay ahead of the deadly wolves.
The timber wolves gained on them, pushed ahead at the thought of a easy meal. The ponies ignored the aches beginning to form in their legs and pushed on, scared of death by the hungry wolves.
One wolf snapped at Fluttershy's heels knocking her over. "FLUTTERSHY!" The rest screamed. The timber wolf closed in for the kill.. And was knocked over by a racing shadow. The timber wolves howled and backed away. The mane six gasped as they saw their rescuer.
It was a small earth pony filly. She had a scruffy dark blue mane and tail with lighter blue streaks. Her coat was as black as a raven wing. The foal took a step forward and the timber wolves turned and ran. The filly turned and stared at the mane six with grey eyes.
"Come on. They might return in a ambush." Numb the mane six followed the small earth pony through the forest.
