TV Revelations And A Visit
My name is Jacob stringer and I'm not normal by any chance, even for a 15 year old or a Marylander. My parents knew this sense I was born, and sometimes I consider not being normal to be annoying curse. My parents say my abnormality is the fact I can become a pony at will, but I say its I can become a human at will. but still my life was good until I questioned my existence.
It happened one Saturday when I was bored, and was browsing the TV listings. My parents had gone out grocery shopping. so I was left at home lying on the couch letting my deep blue mane hang in my eyes and staring at my emblem on my flank, I always like how it contrasted my Pumpkin Orange coat. I never understood why it seamed to represent my ability to design machinery. it was a light grey gear with a gold and blue quill in front of it.
I turned my attention to the TV again, and continued to flip throe the chancels until I hit the 'hub network', they were just starting to premier a new show. When I herd the name I immediately became interested because along with technology, and trains, I loved anything involving my "equine cousins", the show was called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.. Although it was a corny title considering I was the only thing with true magic, (and my parents clam that's just some "wired physics thing", and not magic.) I then regretted the decision to watch the show because the firs thing that struck me was the lavender unicorn on the screen, the character's name was twilight sparkle. Se was so smiler to me. Wired pastel coat colour, unicorn with magic, emblem on flank, and talking! I was expecting her to turn human any second like I could but no such like (until three years later).
About that time I turned the TV off and went to my room.
Fifteen minutes later my parent came home with the grocery. My mother came up stares to the sound of me crying winch was vary unusual. her light blue eyes filed with worry, and her long bond hair was spewed behind her ears.
"Jacob what's wrong?" She questioned.
"Did you know?" I asked
"Know what?"
"Know I was like a cartoon character!"
"I don't understand how are you like a cartoon character?"
"Me being a pony!"
"Sweetheart you being my young stallion and my young man doesn't mean your a cartoon character, how did this question even come to exist?"
Knowing the internet probably had information about the show, I got out my laptop form under my bed, and opened up the browser and searched for the show
And I clicked the first YouTube link I found. It was the intro for the show, at least I had the thing muted so the annoying song didn't play,
After I was done playing, I closed the laptop and looked at her. her face had no expression what so ever,
Then she spoke.
"Son this isn't something you should dwell over, this is just a little show for little girls, that started in the 80's. its pointless to dwell over this, it wont help you. You know I love you, like I have said before pony or not you are my son, and I will always love you, and your 15 why were you watching that?"
We sat there for about four hour, my mother was petting my mane trying to sooth me while I napped like a toddler, then my father came in, his short dark hair in a mess, and his eyes blood shot from looking at documents belonging to his patients.
"Sally, my brother just called, their coming tomorrow, from Wisconsin, with there kids"
"Uncle David is coming? I haven't seen him in ages" I asked
My uncle David was my fathers older brother, the last time he ever visited was on thanksgiving 2003 before he moved with his wife, their kids were my twin cousins, Natty and Tim, they were only 10 and we never met, he was the type to barge in on short notice.
"The four of them want us topic them up at the airport in the morning, they will be here for a week before the head to Germany for a month,the wanted to use this opportunity to see us again!" He explained
"What about Jacob will he have to do?" My mother asked
"David said its OK for the twins to know abut him. he will just have to be human until David brakes the ice with the twins, don't worry it was the firs thing I asked about" he answered,
"then I think its best I say home when we pick them up" I exclaimed.
"NO your uncle hasn't seen you sense that one thanksgiving, and you have never met your Cousins you will be coming to the airport tomorrow morning at seven."my father retorted
"SEVEN!" I yelped
"no retorts at all, young colt!"he responded
I fired up my horn in anger, reedy to reels it...
"and no magic this late in the day, you should go to bed"
...and I dissipated my magic
"young colt you should be more respective of your father he only means well." said my mother.
"I know mother" I sighed
"you should get some rest we will be up and early tomorrow morning"
she got up and left the room leaving me to switch of the lights.
The next morning my mother woke me up AT SIX AM!
"Its a Sunday mother," I groaned.
"Sweet heart were going to go pick up your uncle and his family, remember?"
"OK ill get ready"
I sat up, hoped down form my bed, and got a shower to wake myself up. Despite how uncomfortable it sounds, I like the felling of having a wet coat. My showers typically last half an hour because I have to scrub my entire body with shampoo and brush myself to pull out the louse hairs, so my shower typically has a clump of short, orange hairs in the drain the end.
After my shower, I shifted into my human form, which I can't describe. I relay despised the pale skin and the dark brown hair that accompanied it, I hated the fact my ears couldn't rotate, the only things I liked was my emblem still rested on my hip, and I could use a weaker form of my magic.
I went to my room and got dressed into some casual cloths. The problem with shifting is I have to be naked to do it, or I would ruin my cloths. I rely don't care about them, but my mother does, scene they were bought with her money.
The quick drive to the airport was uneventful, we got in my fathers Toyota Tacoma, and drove for 30 minutes to BWI airport. The airport's main terminal has two levels. Drop off's at the top, and pick-ups at the bottom. We pulled up to the SouthWest Airlines section, and waited. it was five minutes before they exited the terminal. my father got out of the car and ran over to his brother and grabbed my cousins bags. Natty and Tim both had dark black hair form their mother. they were both short for their age. Natty was wearing yellow and orange dress wile Tim was wearing a dark blue T-shirt. My father put the bags in the back of our truck. Then I noticed Natty had something in her hand. when I recognised the 'doll', I got really scared.
