Hyakki Yagyo of Equestria
Chapter 1: Rise of Equestria's Nura Clan
There was blood.. Everywhere.
"Tsurara!" Rikuo yelled out, watching yet another one of his allies get sucked into the deadly portal Nue had formed.
An unholy abomination created by a holy creature. How ironic. He was the last one at this point; the general of their little 'rag-tag' group.
"Nue.. You coward! Just couldn't fight us yourself, could you?! Instead you're using a machine. A tool created by the forges of Hell itself!" Rikuo glared at Nue, who had no emotion whatsoever on his face. He was like that the first time they met, too. We should have destroyed him back then, when we had a chance.
"Hmph. Pitiful Rikuo Nura. All your allies are gone, and you're soon to follow. Have you any last words, before you go to the abyss?" Nue had spoken so monotone, it hurt his ears just hearing it. No feeling whatsoever. So dead.
"I will climb out of hell to destroy you, Nue. You and your unholy kin!" Rikuo said, anger overwhelming him.
"I'll be waiting for that day, Rikuo Nura. Until then, I'll be cleansing this world of filth like you. Goodbye, now." And just like that, the portal had sucked up Rikuo, him cursing Nue the whole way through.
____________Rikuo's POV____________
Everything was black. I thought I felt my eyes open, but when I raised my hands, I could see nothing. Was I dead? Was this what it felt like for Yokai to die? No... Not everything is black. There's a light in the distance.. I felt myself running for what seemed like eternity, the light inching closer and closer, but me never being able to touch it. Suddenly, though, the light overwhelmed me beyond belief, blinded me so harshly I was left stunned.
I truly opened my eyes, this time. I was in a forest, and it was the middle of the night. The forest had some kind of... Unexplainable feeling. Like it was empty, full of. Nothing. Something wasn't right.
__________Kubinashi's POV__________
I had been walking through this forest for a long time. So boring. A few rustles here and there, but nothing really spe- Woah. That's a big scorpion-looking thing. Wait. Are those wings? Bat wings? And a lion's mane? Huh, it's looking at me. Big red e- "OH LORDS NO!"
__________Aotabo's POV__________
"WHO'S THERE?!" I Yelled as I destroyed tree after tree, in search of the source of the earlier screaming. It sounded like Kubinashi, since he has a really girly scream, and the little guy couldn't take care of himself in the presence of nice women, let alone in a fight. Guess I better find him quick or- Oh. There he is. Wait. "What the HELL?!"
__________Tsurara and Kejoro__________
"Ehhh!" Yelled Tsurara in frustration of the situation they were in, seeing as they were stuck in a creepy, weird, and scary forest with no way of finding Master, no way of finding the others, and no way of getting home. This was the WORST situation!
"Yuki-Onna, calm down. We'll find them-" A bunch of screams at once caught both their attention, and they both started running towards the source, which was close by. Although seeing as this forest was deceptively large it might be harder to find them than they thou- "WHAT ARE THOSE?!" Both of them screamed at once.
__________Rikuo's POV_________
I had been running towards the source of the screaming for a while, hoping my comrades weren't in any trouble. What I came across was even stranger than I had expected.
Six PONIES of all things had tied up Kurotabo and taken him as a hostage!
__________General POV__________
"Oi.. Give back Kurotabo!" Rikuo said, raising his sword towards the ponies, a much more serious expression on his face than from a few seconds prior, his comrades nodding their heads in agreement, getting into more 'battle-ready' stances.
"Why should we! I bet you think you're so tough, huh?!" The rainbow-haired one remarked, an obviously arrogant mocking tone and expression to her face. It disgusted Rikuo beyond belief, to see such a weakling take Kurotabo.
"I'll destroy you. You're but a mere mortal." It was a bluff on Rikuo's part. He couldn't use his sword to harm them, and he wasn't sure how strong and fast they were. Two of them had wings, and two of them had horns. Unicorns and Pegasi, he presumed. The other two seemed vulnerable enough, though.
"Well ah'l tell ya what. Give us a fine reason as to why he attacked us, is that clear?" The cream-orange colored hornless-wingless pony asked, a look of determination and questioning on her face. Or muzzle, would be a better term.
"I was careless, master! I mistook them for some kind of hunters, and attacked unknowingly! I take full responsibil-"
"Enough, Kurotabo. It was but a mere accident. We simply wish to reattain our ally without conflict, if possible." Rikuo had cut Kurotabo off before he could finish his sentence, hoping to end this quickly and efficiently without violence.
"WE SHOULD THROW THEM A PARTY FOR SHOWING UP IN THE FOREST! It'l be a fun-forest-friendship party, and there'l be cake and cupcakes and all SORTS of treats and other fun stuff!" The pink one said, hyperactivity seemingly-permanently etched onto her figure, both in expression and action.
"Uh... What.. Are they, exactly.. If you don't mind me asking, that is." Said the yellow-colored pegasus, instantly hiding behind the purple-colored unicorn, who seemed to show the most 'leadership' among the six.
"Well...I suppose we can let him go. On one condition!" The purple one said frantically, obviously trying to get SOMETHING out of the drastic situation that all twelve were put into.
"What condition would that be, pony?" Rikuo said firmly. No hesitance, and no fear. No point in making them think you were afraid.
"You have to help us obtain these, um.. Artifacts. To help us defeat this evil princess Nightmare Moon. That's our condition!"
Rikuo thought for a short while, closing his eyes while doing so. Nightmare Moon. Seemed fitting for someone considered evil, he supposed. But something about it seemed off. However. "Fine then, pony. I accept your condition. Tsurara, Aotabo. Grab Kurotabo and get him untied."
"Yes, master!" Both of them said at once, walking towards the tied-up Kurotabo, who seemed quite distressed and guilty-looking. After they were done untying him, they all walked over and grouped near Rikuo.
"What now, master?" Kubinashi asked, deciding to be the one to ask the question all of them were thinking.
Now? Now, we go to the beginning of a new legacy. The legacy of the Nura Clan!
