Orphan

It were the week after the Birthday. The six ponies and Spike had nothing special to do. A busy everyday returned with Applejack applebucking, Fluttershy  taking care of her animals and so on. But then one early morning that summer the police ponies contacted the six ponies and Spike.

"We had found a lost mare in the woods the last morning, but she don't know where she came from." the police pony said to the six ponies and Spike.

"Last year Doctor Hooves had move out of his cottage in the woods because he lived by a haunted old cottage, and the doctor thinks that this lost mare came from there." another police pony said.

The police showed photos of the mare they found. Spike and the ponies got startled by seeing whit entities behind the mare in a dark forest.

"These photos are no tricks, and I know the ones who took these ghost pictures." a police pony said to Spike and his friends.

"So no computer had done that." alicorn Twilight said to the police officer.

The stallion told for a while what he knew about the old cottage. For ten years ago ponies got lost, and they blamed the mare for what happened.

"Well, we had agreed that we fill find out about what happened." Twilight said to the police officer and smiled.

The alicorn and her friends went out in a forest where the cabin were. That is where Doctor Hooves used to live. There were a shortcut to the Canterlot hills in these woods. The ponies and Spike walked through the sunny forest. Spike and his friends passed by a row of cottages. But many of these cottages stood empty because of the hauntings.

"Well, I think this is the old cottage." Twilight said to her friends.

Twilight and her friends went into the abandoned cottage.

"Hey, I'm asking of anypony is here." Twilight shouted.

But nopony answered. There were a strong smell both of rotten flesh from ponies, and roses too. Twilight and Rarity made a light from their glowing horns. The ponies heard noises everywhere in the empty cottage. But there were only the six ponies and Spike. There were noises of invisible baby ponies crying, sights of shadowy ponies and other unexplained things. At last had Twilight found very old pictures of a family that once lived in the cottage, and the mare they saw at the police office. The ponies got startled by seeing ponies with rotten flesh showing up behind them, but they were only flashbacks.

"So this is the source." Twilight told her friends.

"All you long gone ponies begone now, and leave this cottage." the alicorn shouted.

Twilight lighted up the dark cottage with her undo spell. The ghosts vanished with loud noises. Soon had the cottage been cleaned of ghosts. As the six ponies and Spike went out of the old cottage, had none of these haunting been repeated again. The lost pony could now remember what happened in that cottage, as the six ponies and Spike showed her the old pictures they had found. That mare from the cottage had to stay in the police station after what she had told.
