:: HeartBeat - Training Session 517::
:: 1 year before outbreak ::

~In HeartBeat’s old basement, now refurbished as a base of operations~

Applejack spoke over an intercom with an urgency and ferocity and joy to her voice, “YEHAW! Ya’ll ready, HeartBeat? The barn’s got a bat ready for the reapin’!” she turned to look at a screen that showed what used to be the Apple Family barn from the outside, now converted into a training facility to hone the trio’s skills. It was a flat steel box, essentially. The trio, of course, consisting of Big Macintosh, HeartBeat, and Herself. She flicked a switch and the screen quickly shifted inside the barn where a bat had been restrained by some type of advanced machinery; the camera using night vision, as the barn was completely dark, and it focused on the main door as HeartBeat walked in. She extended the cybernetic audiokinesis arm Big Macintosh had finally finished building for her and it began to whirr and progressively higher *clinks* were heard a moment before the end of the slender, pink and silver prosthetic began to glow.

~Now from within the barn~

Near the far end of the barn was a trapped bat. Caught in a trap of unfathomable complications, He struggled and became far more active as the hunter entered the room and brightened the light on the arm so she could see the beast and as she did it quivered in the other direction. “Just tell us when you’re ready,” Big Mac’s voice rang heavy with anticipation. His newest upgrade added something that HeartBeat could use to her advantage. He had optically connected her arm to her eyes. Fusing it with both her retina, and around points on her iris to increase light incoming by 20 fold. How did she manage to handle all this light? Well, it was all cybernetic. The light shone in, was captured by the lenses, was processed by the CPU within the arm and then instantly relayed all data to her occipital lobe as normal vision. She could SEE sound now. If she sent out a sound wave of high pitched ‘squeeks’ she could use them to find her destination via data received from them. On top of this, she could use her arm to easily match speeds with a bat by simply charging and firing a heavy, condensed wave of sound from the focal point of the arm and pushing herself off. Her body had been trained to handle the sudden increase and decrease of these speeds as a full motion everytime she changed directions. “HeartBeat, you have 5 Over Charges left,” the voice carried through again and she looked to the camera and nodded before aiming her arm downward and charging it slightly.

A small screen shown on the wall next to the trap that held the bat and it began to count from 3---2----1.

On ‘GO!” the bad was loosened and it did just what HeartBeat expected. It flew straight down for her and as she waited to time it right, she noticed that as the bat flew closer it began to slow down and so did she, but the cybernetic arm kept to it’s own rhythm, which, she realized, would allow her to travel at possible mach speeds while still keeping everything smooth. Her attention turned back to the bat that dove at her. When he got to just a point she released the charged energy, which shot her up at blinding speed; while the arm cannon WAS still in its own realm of speed, she had had full control of it and she spun in the air and landed upside down on the ceiling. Using her audiokinesis to to increase air’s push upwards onto her. She laughed and chuckled and even popped out a tit to the blood thirsty creature, and while it was a vampony, he was STILL a man and she knew this would rile him, and it did. He was visually tempted, you could tell from the way he stopped a second when she did and immediately returned to his normal stance. He shadowstepped his way to her side and swung out behind her, but her arm was faster and reflexed her entire body to crouch, turn, and block. The alicorn magic that powered the machine rejected the demonic beast because it’s handler’s heart was pure, and the aura of magic the core extruded matched that; as the bat swung into the cybernetic appendage, so was its elbow disintegrated and the hand and claw whooshed past her ear. Quickly she thought and swiped the arm against his other elbow as well, doing the same to it and quickly she blasted herself backwards and back to the floor. Looking up at the angry and confused monster, her arm began to heat up and glow red as it expanded, the end growing outward with little clicking noises till it was 3x the size it was normally and she said a little, singular sentence as the mechanisms whirred and she swung it around, up at him and a final click sounded as the shoulder of the cannon erected spikes. She crouched down, and took aim as the massive amount of light began to even make the bat’s wings hiss with smoke and she finally settled her body.

“FIRE!” and the entire room went white and the camera melted.
